First of all (I'll try to type slowly so you can understand) I live in the City of Maryville and I pay taxes in both the city and county so believe me when Itell you boski that Maryville is a public school. You see the way it works is like this ... since Ipay city and county taxes Icould send my boys to a county school if I so chose to. However I DO NOT so my boys go to MARYVILLE CITY SCHOOLS. Most people such as yourself love to believe this whole private / recruiting thing because it consoles and makes one or the many who have had that great big "L" branded on their butts feel better. We really do not care what you think, the facts are the facts and you (all of you) have to deal with it. Now as far as class goes , shouldn't you be there? see ya pappy! ( by the way 60 -0 means nothing but just remember you guys are the ZERO in the 60)

It is called a TEAM and that is what we have. They are , technically sound and they are average players but they are disciplined and they are conditioned as well as methodical in executing their assignments. It often takes more than pure atheletic ability to get the job done. We'll be just fine.

Th skinney on Brentwood academy was that they offered him 200k to coach football. Everything that the others have said of GQ is true. This is not an exact quote but in a nutshell he has said that he can have more of an impact on the h.s. youngmen more so than onthe older college guys. He means this both on and off the field. I have gotten to know him a little this year and he his what he his. I have emmense respect for him as a man and a coach. He has also picked up much more support which has been held at bay by the old guard which are now being replaced.

Iwould just like to add that #'s are #'s but hiney whoopins are an entirely different animal. The RED REBELS (refered to on here as )"THE EMPIRE" are watching and I can assure you all that they are not worried about MR. PHILLIPS , respectful but not worried. There have been many "big timers" come to THE BLACKHOLE (notice I said come to and not thru). GO MIGHTY REBELS !!!!

Well Well Well... JP let me make my first post on this board a good one. You obviously do not live in MARYVILLE and for that I'm sorry for you. On the other hand I DO and I can assure you that MHS is quite the public school I pay city and county taxes so I should know. It seems that your problem is this (like so many others out there) jealousy and envy I think they are called. Now I am not so stupid as to think that you will admit this but I do want to be truthful and I want you to dwell on the truth. How many gold balls does your team have in their collection? And when MHS does go 5A the only thing that will change is that there will be a great sigh of relief in the 4A class and an "Oh crap here they come from the 5A gang( are you getting this HITCH from OR). When you are MARYVILLE you do not have to recruit people move to you. Come out to the BLACKHOLE on friday nite next as my guest and watch the hundreds of young boys playing on the practice field, that my boy is one of the secrets to the mojo. But if it makes you feel better and if it kills the pain for you then please keep believe'n whatever it is you believe.
