Isn't this a post on PITCHERS not CATCHERS!! Has Kristen started pitching for Wartburg?? I would have to say Kim Hall (OS) is & will be the BEST freshman pitcher, and if you don't know that now you will soon.

If you have a chance to watch college softball, or for that matter open league tournaments... you would see that is the way 3rd is played!! When I first saw softball played in this area I was shocked at how far back they play 3rd!!! Lady jacket 13.... keep playing that hard nosed 3rd!! Dare them to ram one down your throat! Isn't that what you play the game for!!! You have to love a fearless player... Like I always say PLAY HARD OR GO HOME!!

whoa.... thefive3.....how can you call out a 16 year old, over some bobbled balls???!!! Were there not any other mistakes made during the game?? Maybe if your Oakdale girls would have been putting the bat on the ball, a couple of mistakes would not have mattered!!! If you Coalfield girls read this....... forget it!!Just a bunch of jealous parents who have the nerve to call out other people's kids!! Which is where I think the problem started any way!! OS91 I really enjoy your Lady Cat trivia at times..... but as you refered to KingBrian...... please don't quit your day job either! The year the Lady Cats were 2nd the the State was in '83 so that was the most important sub-state apperance you left off..... Like I stated before, I like some of you Lady Cat trivia but I do not like reading your posts.. you always have to be so negative towards people who just state there opinion. You may not have likes the scores that King Brian predicted, but that was just his opinion. I think he does a great job covering the Morgan Co. sports! I have found myself buying a paper just because of his coverage of the athletes in his area. I am not sure how it works but he coveres the area lots more than the Roane Co. news covers our Lady Cats this year. ( nothing towards Goose, probaley not even in his hands ) any way just had to let you know that. Great job Lady Cats!! Now bring that game home Sat. night!!

wasn't able to catch the game....what happened? No points for Schultz??!!?? This team has struggled all year giving the ball up to each other........ on another note.. I thought that the group of young men Coach Ingram put in at the end of the Wartburg game came in & did a great job!!

Don't be surprised to see the Oliver Springs Lady Cats somewhere in the mix in single A this year!!?? They have seasoned travel ball players on this team...... ones that can flat play the game! Look out single A there are some new girls in town!! Can't wait!!

tyler carter from os is one of the top freshmen isn east tenn he is bout 6"1 and has an all around game he is goin to be a really good player in the future i played basketball wit him last year as point guard and he is a more than capable player

adam carter is a great player and he has a good all around game, his lil brother should be better than him though lil carter can really handle the ball

Sorry! Your right he was #2. I agree the Wartburg guys really stepped it up in overtime, espically D.J. he played better in OT. It seems to me like he holds back, but when the other guys were off the floor he really stepped up his game. He was the difference maker in the end!

I know that it is easy to overlook other players when you have a player like j. Shannon on the floor, but #20 for Wartburg is a player too. I felt he was by far the best defensive player on the floor tonight. He was a workhorse!!! and still was able to put 20 on the board!!

Great game!!! The game went into overtime!! 78-78 I have to say that J. Shannon is absoutley the real deal!! He s a player!! When hes on the floor the game is played differently.... I knew that Adam would have to bring his "A" game tonight and he did. Great game guys, can't wait till the next time these two teams meet!!

I think you are right about that those three, It will be a good match up, but after watching the coafield - Wartburg game last friday I thought that Melton really tried to muscle his way around inside (nothing wrong with that) I don't see that happening with Carter....He never quits. Melton will have a hard time containing him!! and O.S. has the athletes to match up with the Dawgs.... their bench is deep. The best thing for Wartburg not to do is over look O.S. tonight 1st place in the district on the line... Best of luck to both teams

Can't wait to see this one!!I think it will be a very physically inside game. Not sure of the outcome but after watching the game last friday against Coalfield, I will go with Carter over Melton for the inside battle!!

I thought I was replying to the thread that asked Best Pure Shooters.... When has this board not been about your opion.. Next time I decided to post about a player, I will try to check with you first. I never said that Dan was the best shooter in the state... I said Dan is a PURE shooter, and one of the best PURE shooters I might add!
