No, I have no girls playing ball. I am not talking about any one player in particular. Anyone that has watched the games know what I am talking about. Maybe in the next few games he will get his order straight and let them play like we all know they can.

I never said, don't make any subs. I said don't sub because they make one mistake. Sub to rest, sub to talk and explain what they are not doing right. Most all the underclassmen on the team can play as well as the others. He has enough talent to play 5 in and 5 out. I don't think that is what he wants. (who knows)

Speaking of freshmen, I'm glad the other 2 got a chance to play last night. M. Williams and L. Perkey played well. Given the opportunity they could make an impact. #20 is not the only freshman that can play ball.

I never said the coach was not capable. His record speaks for itself. I'm saying something has changed from last year. If you ever thought you could figure his strategie out, forget it. This year seems like even #22 can't do well enough for him.

The right combination is there as soon as Coach Morgan realizes what he has got. Let them play through their mistakes. They are still young, they will give him what he wants when they know they are allowed to make a mistake without being jerked out and belittled. There was only one perfect person (ever) and he did not play basketball.

How can they not be nervous? Make a mistake, and you are out. They are afraid to play like they know how. Get screamed at and taken out until coach calms down. Only one player is allowed to play through her mistakes and she makes plenty of them. Seems like Coach Morgan has given up on all his players except #20.

I think Rayburn had 14, Lambert had ten, and Davis had 10.

Unaka in Elizabethton Tn. It may not be the smallest but our AAU team played there a couple of years ago and we were told it was the oldest gym still being used in Tn. It is pretty small but it is a beautiful place for a school.

It is rediculious for you to think this board is only to talk about teams. If you don't play games you don't need a team. If you don't have good refs there is no need to play games. If you don't have good refs you might as well just scrimmage amoung your on team. The refs can let a bad team beat a good team. You are right about something going on (referees gone wild) the number of bads refs seems to be growing. It is hard to watch a game without a least one of the refs being terrible. Either making bad calls, no calls, other refs calls or make up calls. (made a bad call and knows it, makes another bad call to give the ball back to the team he made the bad call on first) Don't get me wrong, I would not want the job. But if a person is willing or wants the job he should be mentally and physically able to handle it.

Can you not read. I said Perky will get playing time. No matter how much Lee wants it she is not her sister. She will not be able to drive over people at the next level like she does now.

Perky from Englewood will get playing time. Lee may make varsity but any of the freshmen that are getting playing time now will play over her. If they all stay healthy and want to play next year as bad as they want to this year.

You say you are just a fan, must not be. A fan wants their team to play the best players to have a winning team. You only want to play the older girls because they have been there longer. When the Freshmen are juniors and they finally all get to play together and they bring back Central's only state championship you will believe then.

What games have you been watching? There are 7 freshmen on the team. 3 of them are getting little to no playing time. So that only leaves 1 freshman you say does not deserve playing time. The starting 5 for the past couple of games have been 3 freshmen, 1 sophmore and 1 senior. The truth is Lambert (freshman) is the best player on the team. Put her with the other 4 freshmen and they will beat the upperclassmen. As a matter of fact they did in practice after Tellico beat Central on the 20th. Most of the time when a freshman (besides Lambert) is on the court they are on their on, a couple of the older girls will not pass the ball to a Freshman! I think most of the older girls are lucky to get as much playing time as they do.

Sounds like you have a girl that is a junior or senior that is not getting much playing time. Could it be that the younger girls are better and coach Morgan is playing the best players? You do know he is the coach and he has been doing it for more years than most of us have had children. If you are trying to figure out his coaching methods, forget it, a lot of parents before you have tried and not succeeded.

Do coaches want to win freshmen games? I know the girls do. How can you do your best if you just finished a hard 2 hour practice with the varsity before your freshmen game starts?
