  1. UC played a solid 2nd half....special teams, particularly kickoff team is as poor as any I've ever seen.....such an embarrassment that you have no confidence in being able to tackle on kickoffs...UC gave better effort and was fiestier on defense....UC's problem is tackling in space. #17 continues to make game changing mistakes, be it fumbles, poor decisions on option pitches, or reads on the veer.
  2. bear, UC will not be able to stop Peabody either....the only hope for UC is for the Tide to stop themselves. As for Hyde, I will still be shocked to see hyde play tonight...long-term he needs to get well for the playoffs.
  3. not likely Bigster....could happen but that would be rushing things....my guess is out for season if you truly want her healthy and fully reahabilitated
  4. Grad your mouth will come back to bite you...evidently you are not aware Amber Fair tore her ACL yesterday and I assume she will be lost for the year
  5. Really sad news out of UC...Amber Fair tore ACL yesterday....I assume out for season...I guess that negates all the excitement for UC's upcoming season...team will still be pretty solid but no where near what they could have been.
  6. Swollen, I think UC needs to replace Bowling and give you the job. Sounds as if you are ready for kickoff. I'm not sure that the kids are at fault at this point. As you said, plenty of talent just not improving on the defensive side and not sure this team is not regressing. The veer is okay at times but UC is painfully predictable when they get behind on down and distance. UC's best defense at this point is the veer. Don't know much else to say other than to this point this is a very disappointing football team. Hope they prove me wrong and get headed in the right direction.
  7. have you watched UC play deffense or attempt to tackle
  8. no thanks biggie....we saw how that worked for your lady falcons....we might underachieve as did your lady falcons. Let's just see if UC can live up to their potential.
  9. GT you seem to be infatuated with the status of Hyde...personally I think you guys win even with Hyde playing,,,,seems as though you fear playing UC if Hyde is able to go....just relax and come friday you will finally get your answer...as for you LC folks you will just have to wait and see
  10. sounds like the beloved GREENfield yellowjackets...never understood why no GREEN and definitely am confused with their orange/black colors ...They have a fair weather-fan who gets on here when things are going well named Greenfield fan who might be able to shed some light on their colors of choice.
  11. Swo I like your optimism...your heart is telling you one thing while your brain is trying to tell you something else...evidently your heart is winning the battle. I would love to see UC win the rest of 'em....just have a hard time seeing that happen. I think best case scenario is for UC to get into the playoffs healthy and find some momentum...truly believe the talent is there, just dont have much confidence in the staffs ability to have them ready defensively. The veer has to be relied on to keep the defense off the field as much as possible because of their shortcomings.
  12. Hyde is not even able to attend school yet., there is no way he plays anytime soon. Know for a fact he has not been in school this week. Don't think there is any secrecy just nothing to report at this time. Bottom line UC is even more beatable without Hyde and fully expect Tide to win by 14-21 points...just my opinion.
  13. UC wouldn't beat Peabody with Hyde and certainly has litle chance without him....I would be shocked to see Hyde play this week and highly doubt he plays against LC the next week. Hope he can get well by the playoffs and that is assuming UC can make said playoffs. UC is likely a 5-5 football team at this point. If they can get healthy and figure out how to play a little defense they might be dangerous come playoff time. UC has a LOT of work to do to become a decent defensive team.
  14. are you out of your mind...Moore Co would get mercy=ruled
  15. Milan by 14-21 points, this is a weak westview team that seems to be improving slightly but has few athletes and is a bit young
  16. can't see any scenario where Hyde plays this week and probably not next week either. It's unfortunate but it's football....likely gives Trenton even more of an advantage and LC as well.....Don't honestly think UC would have won against Trenton regardless and now think LC will be the favorite against UC also...just hope UC can make the playoffs and get healthy at the right time. UC doesn't have anyone remaining on their schedule who won't be a challenge the way they are playing.
  17. new guy needs a new brain....PC is back to being irrelevant and as for the 'Wood" i think you are grasping for some slim hope for your district....no one in your district should even be in conversation of quality football this season....That's just how it is...Wayne County was special last year and they will likely be back at sone point, however the rest of the teams in your area have a ways to go
  18. truth hurts sometimes...definitelly not a hater....just not drinking the purple kool-aid.....no longer have a lot of faith in this staff to get the job done....it is obvious this team has many shortcomings and they are not getting better in these areas....I can spin things in way that you might find more optimistic but the truth is this teams season is at a crossroads and I dont like what I am seeing
  19. you can eliminate UC from your top ten lists....they will be lucky to even make the playoffs. Hyde went down early inthe first quarter and appears to have a severe concussion (with the new rules I wouldn't look for him back anytime soon.
  20. Swollen, so much for no injuries....Looks like UC is in big trouble with Hyde out for some time. They will struggle mightily without him min the veer. Also will miss him on defense. Still haven;t a clue on defense especially against the pass. At the moment a 5-5 record may be an achievement.
  21. will be pulling for the lions as well in the playoffs....if dresden can throw the ball effectively just a little they can beat UC. UC cannot defend the pass nor do they tackle very well in space. UC's passing game has potential but their coach uses it begrudgingly. typically only throws in obvious passing situations which makes it tougher to be successful. I do expect a UC victory but would by no means be surprised to see Dresden win.
  22. not a dresdenf fan but looks like they now own the 'View. personally I don't see martin being anything special anytime soon. Westview has cheerleading to fall back on I guess. Also, when is westview going to get a football facility. Hear the powers that be at UTM are tired of accomodating the local high school.
  23. my sources, who are very reliable tell me he's not that fond of blue either
  24. no that was directed to Bigster, he knows all things Lake County. He is a plethora of knowledge concerning all LC sports////basketball included, just ask Chipper
  25. Yea...and they had plenty of problems defending the pass//kickoffs/throwing the ball/and tackling then as well....that is exactly what I am saying....That was a unique group of kids and they deserved that title.
