The Lady Landers beat a good Daniel Boone team tonight at Happy Valley by 15 i think! They looked good other than a little foul trouble. I am excited 2 see how they do on Friday v/s Happy Valley! Good Luck Landers!!!

What are anyones views on how Carter County Girls Basketball is going to look this year?????

Cloudland v/s Unaka this will be another good game. If the Lady Landers play like they can and like they did against North Greene they should come out with a "W"! Best of Luck Lady Landers!

The Lady Landers bounced back from their loss on the creek and defeated Hampton tonight. I can't remeber the final score but I think they won by 9! That put them 1st in the conference! Way to go Lady Landers!

The Lady Landers did pull out a "W"! Not saying it was pretty. I don't remember the exact score but they did win. In the 1st half the Lady Landers played awful!!!!!! Then they came out in the 2nd playing much better(still not there best basketball, but better)and they pulled out a WIN! Way to go girls keep it up!

The Lady Landers defeated Hampton tonight! I don't remeber the final score but I think they won by 11 points. The Landers played great for the 1st 3 quaters then Hampton hit a few big 3's and the Landers came out a litttle sluggish in the 1st of the 4th quater but in the end put away some cluth free throws and came out with a big"W"! That makes them 3-0 in the conference. But another HUGE game Tuesday against the Lady Rangers! They must play their best ball to win! Unaka is much improved! Lets Go LAdy LAnders play hard!!!!!!!!!!!

The Lady Highlanders pulled out a HUGE win tonight over the South Greene Lady Rebels. I can't remember the exact score but they won 60 some to 40 somee. These Lady Landers played like they can tonight. Everyone on the bench came in strong and helped. Once again a HUGE win for the Landers. They must play that way again Friday when they travel down to North Greene for their 1st conference game. Lets Go Lady Landers!

The Lady Landers didn't play 2 their capability! They did at Cosby but not at H.V! Hopefully they will do so against Unicoi. Go Landers, play like I know you can!

Not only does #21 (Cody Hughes) always shoot like that, but so does Dustin Calhoun, and other teammates. Cloudland is a pretty good team this year! Give them some credit is right. Way 2 go Highlanders.

The Lady Landers will have the chance to prove themselves this week at the Happy Valley Tourney. This should show where they really stand!

Cloudland has started out well. Defeating 2 BIG teams. They defeated Sullivan East and Cosby. THem winning at Cosby was a 1st for Coach MAtt Birchfeild. A big acomplishment! I think they will be "TUFF" this year. Go Lady Landers!

Cloudland has great sophomores! Shellie McKinney, Jordan Miller, Sydnie Buchanan, Brooke Johnson! They are GOOD!!

Cloudlad is looking good! With 3 seniors leading them, Clawson and Harold can shoot and drive. Mathesis is a great post player. The jouniors are made up of Pritchard, Tolley and Wilson.Wilson is recovering from an injury last season and Pritchard should be a help also. Tolley of course is a "BIG" player for the landers! She is great! The sophomores are also a key for success. Johnson, Miller,McKinney and Buchanan are great shooters, drivers,posts, and rebounders. Johnson can drive and score on most anyone! Miller will shoot the 3 in your eye, and Buchanan will bring out a post move or 2 on u! McKinney can also bring out some good moves from the post and crash the boards. B.Hughes is also joining the Varsity team as a sophomore! The Lady Landers are I think expecting success!!! Good Luck Ladies!

The Cloudland Lady Highlanders have had 2 scrimages in the past few days, the scrimaged Sullivan Central where they didnt really keep score, and they scrimaged Davy Crockett where they won 55-35! THey are looking good!

it is less than a week until official practices & scrimages will start! anything new on any team?

YES! Cloudland has hard a down season! BUT that is NO reason to be so un sportsmanlike! Congrats to Unaka for winning a BIG game! Hey guess what just wait until basketball season!!!!

Cloudland has 3 seniors(Clawson,Mathesis,and Harold)who should help,3 jouniors(Tolley a big help,Pritchard,and Wilson returning from a knee injury),they also have a great bunch o sophomores(Johnson,Buchanan,McKinney,Miller,and B.Hughes (who didnt play Varsity last year)These girls saw some pretty big minutes last season! If they stick together they should be a pretty good team!

i think cloudland has a good chance. grant it they havent been GREAT this year but as someone else said people in Roan mOuntain live for this game every year. i think the highlanders will come out ready to play! if clawson,sluderand johnson continue to bring there game as they have before and the upperclassmen bring there "A" games the Highlanders could very well pull this one out a W! and landermom is right if the fans will stick behind them i think things willl go a lot smoother! and if not basketball season is right around the corner and the lady landers are looking good!

Does anyone have an idea about any of the Cater County teams?? Who will be the best? Who has a stacked program this year if any? Just wandering!
