  1. if tyner gets by westmoreland they will beat boyd again if they get out of the first round also.
  2. 2 calls kept this game close, a bad spot kept two minutes on the clock for boyd, and a quick whistle kept it from being 27-10.
  3. oh to be 24 again, iam envious reaction
  4. tie breaker goes to overall records, tyner 3rd best, and boyd beats marion in second tie breaker.
  5. 20-18, give bucs a lot of credit, game should not have been a 2 point game
  6. game will be close, can go either way, but both teams will be in the 20-30 point range
  7. if anybody thinks a bunch of 9th graders and limited sophomore and junior classes that are probably not chock full of athletes due to their ability to stay at ooltewah if they choose. to, is going to be competative with the teams in 3A and 4A is insane. take a look at heritage down in catoosa county. it will be worse on east hamilton next year if they go the varisty route. embarrassing and dangerous to the kids on the field at the same time.
  8. anyone who is at ooltewah since the beginning of this school year and transfers to the new school will be eligible next year at the varsity level. just like the red bank kids who are now zoned for signal are immediately eligible.
  9. this would allow them to attend, but would they still have to sit a year athletically upon arrival?
  10. let's see, tyner puts out on some type of internet/message board that they want a game on the 22nd of auguts......teams check this board quite regularly.......nobody calls..........faith covenant calls........no idea who they are..........tune up game needed before brainerd........and after tonight tyner will have 3 wins against teams with winning records while boyd stuck on 6......mccallie has been beaten by 3 teams....all top 2 or 3 in the state in their respective divisions.....boyd would not last a nanosecond in divison II football while mccallie is in the top 10......nothing about boyd compares to mccallie..........an air of superiority may be the only hint of similraity
  11. buctide been drinking too much of the buyd buc "kool aid". to think the bucs will hold the rams offense to 6 pints is just insane. rams have put 20-30 points on three top ten teams in mccallie, south pitt, and howard. i also think the non region games of mccallie and howard and fulton instead of cakewalks like silverdale and grace academy will benefit the rams as well. i think boyd played silverdale i could be wrong.
  12. if "pj" lives beside hunter middle, he is zoned for ooltewah or central, how is playing for soddy?
  13. if they are not moving, they can not go to signal. principal gravitte very strict on that. if they aren't moving they can't play. the question is, have they moved? if not i believe it is against hamilton cty policy to let a kid go to school out of zone unless it is to a magnet school which allows this.
  14. i believe there wil be around 100 11th grade students, 100-120 10th grade students, and 250 9th grade students the first year. to make a 2A enrollment play in 4A is wrong no matter what. on top of that, the lack of a senior class, and little juniors makes it even worse. signal mountain does not have a senior class, and the zoning caused little changes in the actual number coming. in 4 or 5 years it won't matter.
  15. how can someone zoned for ooltewah, not move, and play for soddy at all? ooltewah 49-7
  16. east hamilton high will be opening next year, and expect an enrollment of 475-500 students. tssaa has numbers that 980 or so are zoned for the school. they will have to particpipate in a level based on the number of zoned students not the actual enrollment numbers. ooltewah will have more students than projected because many of the students zoned for east hamilton will be allowed to stay at ooltewah if they choose to. also, if a student who is zoned for another school has chosen to go to a city wide magnet school, or private school, they will have to sit out of varisty athletics for 1 year if they decide to enroll in east hamilton. what are some thoughts on all of this?

  18. mccallies defense is better than boyd's defense. tyner had 370 yards of offense and put roughly the same amount of points on them as ensworth and franklin did. to think the ram train is going to be stopped by boyd seems a little far fetched. the game comes down to numer of turnovers tyner has, and how many crazy plays they allow. if they give up a pick, and two returns for tds they will lose the game, if they don't boyd loses. tyner has a lot riding on the game, if they lose and sequatchie upsets marion tyner is 4th in the region and assured of nothing wild card wise. they need to take care of business this week.
  19. 95 yard td return, 60 yard punt return.......if and buts were candy and nuts......tyner probaly wins if these plays are the normal return.......but they didn't and they lost
  20. willtyner get in if they finish 3rd in their region?
  21. tyner may be 5-4 if they do not beat mccallie or boyd. their first game supposedly does not count as a win because the alabama game they played may not count for some reason.
  22. game will be 7 points or less either way. rams running game as good and have more weapons than mccallie, ram defense against the run is as good as mccallie has faced. if the ball is too wet to throw much tyner can pull the upset
  23. i believe the blue bloods from mccallie wil come into tyner completely underestimating the rams. if the rain turns the game into a mud bowl i think tyner will definately come out on top.
