  1. just curious stayNskool, but have you been lucky enough to see a premier league game since youve been in london
  2. i am still unconvinced about the ballack signing. he is a worldclass player no doubt, i got to see him in chicago a couple summers ago and even tho it was an exhibition he was impressive, but which worldclass player is going to make way for him? lampard? essien? makelele? joe cole? drogba? robben? all except lampard, who is runner up to european player of the year, have been expensive mourinho signings. i just realized gudjohnsen could be the buy of the season for another premier league team next season. jose has said that he isn't having fun in england anymore because of unappreciation. the media and fans expect chelsea to win and have a genuine dislike for him, and any slight comment or bad game is prompted as the end of chelsea. i think chelsea next season could be his last one in england.
  3. yes, makelele would be most welcome at old trafford i just have the feeling that chelsea's lack of complacency in a really good squad is gonna be their achilles heel
  4. surely mourinho isnt so foolish as to follow real madrid and drop makelele, since he left spain madrid has been, for the most part, a bit-part team with no fluency through midfield so basically i hope he is on the out at chelsea, would benefit the rest of the league in a major way, especially the other top teams in challenging for a title
  5. i have a hard time believing joe cole will be sacrificed after his performances this season a midfield of ballack, lampard, essien, and makelele definitely looks impressive, but mourinho has always stressed the light footed wingers and their contribution in supporting and completing the attack, i dont think ballack or lampard is gonna play a wide position lampard seems the player to naturally make way for ballack, but given his major role for chelsea under mourinho i dont see him leaving, unless jose is in a gambling mood bringing in shevchenko brings in a new formation for chelsea altogether, as he is a pure striker and doesnt exactly fit into the 4-3-3 (not exactly) chelsea formation which drogba is handmade for personally i hope mourinho strays from a formation and style that won him back to back titles, and that my United bring in diarra to bolster the midfield
  6. for those of you unconvinced about jan koller's health ahead of the world cup, he scored twice today against bayern munich
  7. what a surprise, another late goal from gerrard the deciding factor in a liverpool game.... hard to find another player anywhere more influential to a team than stevie g is to liverpool
  8. He's gone. He posted from school but registered from home so his home ip address is now blocked.
  9. you wouldnt happen to know how to get to cheek park would you? and can anyone confirm that is where the game is going to be played, would like to take some pics during it tonight
  10. is brentwood-ravenwood being played at ravenwood or a neutral site
  11. i love watching joaquin play, surely it wont be long until he leaves betis for a bigger stage.... spain seems to lack the desire in the major tournaments, hard to understand with all the talented players they have
  12. anyone know the start time for the game tonight and the host school
  13. Although i personally cant stand arsene wenger, he does seem to find unknown players that turn star status real quick. im not a big fan of reyes, but fabregas will be world class before his 21st birthday at this rate, must be nice...... cant wait to see him against barca next wednesday, will need to be brilliant for arsenal
  14. are you talking about #7
  15. CA at home and CA on the road are 2 completely different teams, given they play on a tiny (but nice) field that appeals to their quick passing game....however on the road on bigger fields be ready for long balls from midfield to the wide players
  16. arena said he opted for brian ching over twellman because of the age factor, thinking that ching is a little more mature and would handle the pressure better....although twellman does have really good potential for the future
  17. joe cole out on the right? hes the best option england have had on the LEFT side in years and i cant actually remember seein him play on the right, maybe he has but its pry not good for him if i cant remember him contributing from there....wright-phillips hasn't played consistently since his idiotic move to chelsea, sure he will win medals but i doubt he will continually trade medals for a bench spot so i dont see him playing a major role for england, and the lampard-gerrard combination hasnt exactly been great for england either, even tho they are both great players
  18. free kicks scored from 25-30 yards are somewhat easier than one just outside the 18 as the wall plays a much greater role. each shot is different of course depending on a lot of things.....
