  1. I have to agree these lists are very accurate. and from what i understand because i have talked to him, Bliss is with Tri-Cities sports. I was very dissappointed when i saw the Big 9 Conference player and coach of the year awards. Co-Player of the year is crap, it should be awarded to one person as well as coach of the year. Gabe was by far the player of the year averaging 22.5 points and 8 rebounds per game. Omar had a good season as well but he only had 20 points and 5 rebounds per game. He did good, but Gabe was def the player of the year. And Coach of the year should either have gone to Vaughn at Central or Morgan at DB. They both had incredible seasons, but as they say a coach is only as good as the player's he coaches. But whoever put this NET teams out did a very good job, i was also glad to see Wiggins on the list he is a pretty good player. But congratulations to all the teams and all the players on an incredible season. You guys did great. Now we will see who makes All-State.
  2. i don't think that taller ref with the mustache is very good at all, i have seen him call games in the tournament and some in the past and he will get on this one way calling kick sometimes. the older was wasn't very good either. But the ref that killed me the most was the one in the Central/Jeff Co. game that missed like 5 obvious walks against Jeff Co. he reffed when i played and he was horrible then haha. But some of the refs were ok this time
  3. i'm not so sure about DB destroying Central, i mean DB did go to 2 OT's with Morristown West and we have also seen time after time the DB can't stop Central's inside game and if they do stop them it is by fouling them. It will be a very good game and it will do down to the wire. Both teams are going to come out firing, but i think Central will come out on top. Go Cougars!!!!! and as far as Science Hill and Greeneville goes, that will also be a good game, but Science Hill is weak inside and they can't rely on Omar to do it all, he is not a D1 player yet. I think G'Ville will pull out a win.
  4. i will agree that the refs did miss alot last night. Gabe did get beat up throughout the game and nothing was called and Jeff County had a lot of walks that weren't called. Jeff Co. did play a good game and Central did not play their best at all. I think it was a learning experience for the Cougars. They will be ready to play on Thursday night against DB, i just hope the refs don't let the game get out of hand like they did on Tuesday. Good luck to both teams, but GO COUGARS!!!!!!!!
  5. i couldn't have said it better and that is very true
  6. high scoring is good, but our defense helps out. we are a very good defensive team.
  7. i think it will be a very good game, Central will have to play very good defense and i don't think DB can stop our inside game. Go Cougars!!!
  8. why do you even waste your time on here. DB earned every foul they got that game and if you watch Central games they don't get very much called in there favor. But i guess you sit at home while the rest of us are at the game. oh well your loss.
  9. The defense wasn't good but it wasn't too bad. one of the big things tonight was rebounding, we gave up alot of them. And we will have to work the ball alot better on Thursday, because Weatherford is a good shooter, but not when he is under pressure. But i think we will pull out the win. Go Cougars!
  10. Well it didn't quite turn out as i had hoped but it was a win. The refs were horrible, Buchanan, Hess, and McCoy got beat up inside and nothing was ever called. Phil had 9 3-pointers, but an ok defensive night and no offense but his passing was bad. All season long we have done very well by working the ball into our post players, but tonight it was like they didn't exist. Hess, Buchanan, McCoy, and Dinkle all made some very nice passes tonight and had alot of assists from what i could tell. It will be a tough game on Thursday against DB, we will have to play as a team like we did against Science Hill. There can be no ball hogging and there can be no careless mistakes, we have to move the ball and work it inside or work for the high percentage shots because there will be no freebies on Thursday. i know we can win, DB is a good team but when we play together we are a much better team than they are. Tonight are problems were ball movement and careless mistakes. But we did play a pretty good game. I wish the Cougars the best of luck in the tournament, i will be there to support you all. so put those indians in a tee pee and burn them. Go Cougars!!!
  11. This is all true, it is tournament time and anything can happen. But it is true that good teams step up in big games, so who knows what will happen.
  12. I think G'ville and the teams for the Big 9 are all very good teams, but i can't make any predictions because it is tournament time and anything can happen. I do have a good feeling that it will come down to Central and G'ville, but i don't know. Good luck to all the teams.
  13. i think that South has a chance to win. Wiggins is a very good player but he is not used to playing against someone as tall as Levi. i think it will be a very good game. i wouldn't count South out just yet. Beau is very good inside and Aaron is good from the 3-point, so i think it will be a very good game.
  14. Very nice, i couldn't have said it better. And i do think Omar should get an award for all of that fake falling he did. He is the best at one thing in the conference and that is acting. But i'm not going to take anything away from him or SH they are good players, just not in the post.
  15. i completely agree with you bballfan, Hess and Gabe and Vinny ate them alive inside all night long and it didn't matter who was guarding them. Crowder is weak and very uncoordinated and Lauderback is a bully. Science Hill fans are just mad their precious Hilltoppers got shown up in the championship game. Good Luck in the regionals Cougars.
