  1. Yes, the game is postponed until January 2.
  2. The Halloween theme song is probably the greatest song ever produced. Perfect for pregame warmups.
  3. We have scrimmaged both SH and DB in the preseason. DB beat us by about 10 and we beat SH by 10. I was more impressed with DB. They still have football players out too. I think Science Hill might be a little overrated. I was most impressed with that Williams kid from DB.
  4. What are everyone's thoughts on this upcoming season?
  5. Hey Stokomo, I beg to differ that K-town's AA teams are better than their AAA teams. Bearden has taken it to AE the past two seasons. I also think that Region 2 can hang, or might be a little bit better than Region 1. Bearden, Maryville, Farragut, William Blount, Oak Ridge, Clinton, and Powell. Those are 7 pretty danrn good teams to me. Region 1, does have quality teams, but they don't have the depth that Region 2 has.
  6. The Bearden, Maplewood was the best game I have ever been involved in. The way we had the run in the 2nd half and then it was back and forth during the 4th. Domonique, it was Kyle Cruze who tipped in Oliver's miss. That game was simply amazing.
  7. The best football game I have ever seen was Bearden vs Farragut in 2001. Bearden comes into the game 0-2 and Farragut 2-0. At half time Farragut leads 21-7. Bearden rallies back behind Sophomore running back Robert Anderson who ran for about 200 yards, and QB Andy Crook who was playing on a broken foot that game. Farragut scores a late TD to go up 35-28. With under two minutes to go the bulldogs mount a drive. Under 20 seconds, and the Farragut fans are getting ready to charge the field, Andy Crook throws a perfect pass to Bobby Berry in the corner of the end zone. At the end of regulation it is 35-35. In the 1st ot both teams trade scores. Bearden scores first in the 2nd ot, then sacks Farragut on the 5 yard line on 4th and goal. The game ends 49-42 and complete pandemonium erupts. That was also the end of Farragut's season as we know it.
  8. Listen, it is hard enough to have a Top 25 poll in college football or college basketball. Now let's try to rank High School soccer. That is frickin impossible. If you looked at the rankings of the people who voted, I bet every one of their polls were completely different. No similarities at all. So by what the poll says, Bearden is number 1. Student Sports is some imitation poll that nobody cares about. So bottome line, Bearden is #1. And yes, they will threepeat next year. Behind Herby and Victor it will be a powerful team once again. That is all that needs to be said on this thread.
  9. Hey surf, you arrange those games and I'm sure Bearden would be more than happy to play them. But until they step on the field, it looks like Bearden will be #1.
  10. Hey Surf4Life, this website is for Tennessee High School Sports, not North Carolina. Nothing needs to come from you anymore. Why are you even concerned with how the Bearden soccer team is doing. You must have quite a bit of spare time. I don't know of anyone who checks up on other state's high school sports just out of curiousity. Back to the subject, Bearden proved that they are the best team in the state. About the national ranking, don't try to ridicule and become jealous because you play for a time that didn't make it out of districts. Bearden won 25 games against some stiff competition. In my eyes, Bearden is the #1 team in the nation. Isn't that what the poll says. By the way bhswins41 plays quite a bit of soccer, he could quite possibly be a 2-time all stater. Don't hate the playa hate the game.
  11. it's good to know that Farragut can win at something; that's about the only thing they are good at over there. Seriously, you guys have 23,000 something students probably more. You have to be able to field good sports teams with those kind of numbers. Advice, stick to that baseball, it is all the success you will have.
  12. Until you come close to beating us in football, let alone any other sport, you do not need to talk. Are you familiar with the numbers; 27-0, 28-20, 49-42. As it always happens Farragut will be favored coming into the game, then they will lose and end up being 2-8. The only good player Farragut has is Adam Gillem. Peach is an amazing center and will be a force on the defensive side of the ball this year. Roztim please come tell me when you beat us in football or any other sport. Believe me it should make National News. Just get it through your rich heads, Bearden owns Farragut and they always will.
  13. Matt Herbstritt is the best soccer player ever. He scored a school record 26 goals this season in leading the dawgs to a 2nd consecutive state title and a national championship. He scored two goals in the state championship game and had 2 assists and a goal in the semis. He was recently named Region MVP along with 9 other Bearden players on the team. Needless to say these are amazing statistics and he has one more year to improve on these stats. Many say he is going to be the next Michael Owen. Real Madrid has already contacted him about skipping college and turning pro.
  14. 27-0 28-20 49-42 Nothing else needs to be said.
  15. From Bearden it was, Matt Herbstritt-MVP, Britton Colquitt, Victor Upshaw, and Noah Elliot. It should be posted at TSSAA.org
  16. If you saw yesterday's game between Bearden and Cordova you would agree with me that Matt Herbstritt is the best player ever. He had one goal, two assists, and many other chances that wouldn't fall through. On one play he had the ball on the end-line, then faked inside took it around the defender, and lofted it over the goalie's head where Derick Radcliffe was there to put it in. On the next goal he juked one defender, pulled the ball through three more, and then shot. The deflected shot was picked up by Victor Upshaw for the goal. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, Matt Herbstritt is the greatest high school player ever.
  17. I would definitely say that Matt Herbstritt is the best soccer player in TN history. He has led the team in scoring the past two seasons and last night broke the school record for goals in a season. He plays on the #1 team in the nation and always steps up in the big games. Herby will have a few more things to say down in the nooga to add to his maturing legacy.
