  1. Congrats to both Maryville and Powell. Both teams played extremely hard and Powell just shot the lights out again for the second straight game.Maryville showed a lot of guts and stole one from bearden.congrats also to bearden and karns on their great seasons.karns was a really fun team to watch this year.they played extremely well together and enjoyed playing basketball.ill miss watching that senior class next year that featured Roth and Booher. I agree Powell and Maryville should be a heck of a game.In the end i think Maryville is took big, physical, and athletic for Powell.Maryville is just a tough matchup for anyone around because of there size and athletic ability.Maryville by 10+ in the championship.Good luck to both teams in the sub-state against either Science Hill or DB!!!
  2. halls beat powell and karns upset oak ridge tonight.both games went down to the wire!halls and karns will be matched up in the championship game.what were some thoughts and opinions about the two close games tonight between rivals halls and powell and the other matchup between karns and oak ridge???
  3. Alot closer game than everyone predicted.Clinton holds on at the buzzer to win this one in OT by 3.Dixon had 26 and Dye 23 for the Dragons and the Beavers were led by Scott Coleman with 23 and Jesse Booher with 21.Great Game!
  4. I agree except for Karns getting all the calls at home.No matter where Karns is at...at home or on the road they get NO calls what so ever.Ive been to alot of Karns home games this year and the refs have been pathetic.Clinton embarrassed Karns @ Clinton by 48 or so but i think we will see a different game this time around.Should be a close one.Could go either way. The only concern for the Beavers is if Hermosillo will play or not???He got hurt with a little over 2 minutes to play in the game over at West last night.Good luck to both teams!!!
  5. Oak Ridge is first place in the district along with Halls.Oak Ridge just came off of a two win week beating 2 district teams(Halls and Campbell County).Karns also had 2 district wins last week against rival Powell and Central. How good is Oak Ridge and do the Beavers stand a chance @ Oak Ridge tomorrow night??
  6. B.J. Browning from Farragut is a good one.He has hit 30 3's and is shooting 47%.Also Steve Younkin from Oak Ridge...he can shoot the ball better than alot ive seen.Jesse Booher from Karns has hit 46% of his 3's and has hit 34 in only 9 games. Was out with an injury the first 7 games of the season
  7. You are 100% correct about Hargis. He hasn't improved and is not half the player that Cameron is and i think Cameron wins the match-up of these two but i think Powell will win a close one by less than 4 pts.Powell has too much size for Halls to handle. If Halls wants to win they need big games out of Varner and Cantrell.
  8. yea your right but it came down to players stepping up.Lee Smith and Chris Conner were the only two guys that showed up for Powell tonight.Karns had production out of Jesse Booher, Michael Hermosillo, Jordan Roth, and Scott Coleman and all played a heck of a game tonight.Hargis was non-exsistent the whole game and Powell just couldn't get enough from their role players.Good win for the beavers!Good luck to both teams the rest of the season!
  9. This game went back and forth most of the game but Karns held on to the lead in the 4th quarter.Karns wins this one over rival Powell by 10...66-56.Any thoughts??
  10. mcgaha adds another dimension to powell because without mcgaha on this team they have nobody that can come off the bench and give chris connor or lee smith any kind of a break.with mcgaha on the team they have someone decent to do that.does anyone know if he will be playing tomorrow night @ Karns?or is he still working his way back into some playing time?
  11. the panthers pulled away in the last 2 minutes last time these two teams played.what will the outcome be this time around?karns is looking for there first district win while powell is looking to stay on the right track.
  12. On the subject of players possibly being able to go D-1, besides Cameron who has the potential in this district to be a D-1 player?Chris Connor?Matt Hargis?Dowdell from Oak Ridge?Jordan Dixon? Any other players? What are some thoughts about some of the other players in this district?
  13. I believe it got up to 13 points with just about 2:45 left and Karns fought back and somehow tied it up with around a minute left like you said.It was a fun game to watch and both these teams will have a good year. They wont be at the top competing for the season district title but they will be ready when tournament time comes and could cause some trouble.
  14. Your right about the Karns Krazies! The student section was big for an away game and were the loudest ive heard all year.It was an awesome game and Mcgill stepped up big and did an excellent job knocking down those two free throws at the end of the 2nd OT.Thats what you call clutch free throws.I think Booher had 17 in the last 3:00 minutes of regulation and the 2 OT's. That was also his first game back in 3 weeks.
  15. how bout that game??...i would have liked to see this game go on all night long.both teams played very well.Central wins by 2 points in 2 OT's!!!Heck of a game tonight!!!How many did Booher have for Karns??and Williamson for Central???Good job both teams and good luck the rest of the season!
