  1. I will have to take Watertown in this game by 10 plus. Watertown is a young team this year and see them causes alot of noise in this single A district.
  2. It didn't seem like you cared. It sounds to me that you have problems and to get on the internet and to blast a kid that is injured, That NO CLASS. At the game saturday night it showed true signs of no class by the AE coaches and fans. All were laughing and clapping and happy that Cait was hurt. Is winning a game that important? I have lost all respect for AE. To say that your two soph schooled Cait makes me fall out of my chair. I have seen your two soph and they might have played well but lets don't compare the two cause it makes you look like a idot even more. If you don't have anything good to say about a kid that may have just finished her season then don't say anything at all. It really don't matter what you think about Cait cause again to say that she not that good makes you look like a idot that works in a factory for your day job and TRIES TO BE A COACH AT NIGHT. Cait is considered the best PG in the country by everyone and by the way she did sign with Tennessee. I don't think that Pat just signs anyone off the street. Get a life and grow up.
  3. I did pick Chester Co. as the winner but was a big fan of Westview. I stated they should win it but Thomas take Chester to the promise land and she did.
  4. I agree that brown can handle Holloway. I am unsure if Brandi has enough with her to get there. Brandi Brown is a front runner for AA Miss basketball but your AA prediction makes me fall out of my chair when it comes to Miss Basketball. How can you leave out Bianca Thomas? She just won the award less than 8 months ago. Brown, Holloway and Thomas will be the final 3 for Miss Basketball. Dudley is a nice player but doesn't play anyone outside of their district so she won't be seen.
  5. I went 2 - 3 last year by picking Peabody and Chester County to win A and AA but lost AAA due to picking Shelbyville to win again. As for this year I hope to go 3 - 0. A - Jackson County - I think they will be playing Clarkrange in the finals but see Jackson County winning another state title. The road to the Boro starts Friday in Watertown. AA - Dyersburg - They were in the AAA state title game last year and return Kayla Holloway which will dominate all post players in AA. AAA - Heritage - When the dust settles there will be no one that will stop Cait "the great" McMahan from carrying 3 trophies back to Heritage High School, GOLD BALL, MVP, AND MISS BASKETBALL
  6. I would like to congratulate Heritage on being ranked 15th in today USA Today. Heritage is the front runner to win AAA state title had a very impressive win last night vs Oak Ridge. With Cait leading this team the sky is the limit for Heritage. The link to the USA Today article: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/preps/basketball/super25w.htm
  7. Shelbyville has never tried to get a player from White Co. due to never having but one that could play for Shelbyville. I heard that White Co people were dancing in the streets when Insell was named the MTSU coach due to not having to GET BEAT by the Little Man anymore. Maybe White Co. can beat Shelbyville this year and stop talking about 1993. As I think about it Rick good friend Lynn Burkey will carry on the tradition of dominance of White Co. When is White Co. going rename the gym of Rick's Grill #2
  8. I really could care less about this topic but it seems you know not near of what you think you know. AAU is not something where all players go out and score as much as they want. You are right in a way why AAU was formed but the majority of players that play at big time colleges prove they are worthy of playing at that level by playing AAU. AAU is formed to get the best players from ALL OVER THE NATION playing each other. Alot of people talk about how great a kid is cause she gets 25 points a game in at a single A school. Until a kid proves it playing the best players in the nation in the summer then you really can't judge how great a player is. Coaches can not judge a kid on how they play againist teams that can't dribble which you run into alot of schools like this in high school, they judge the kids on how they do againist the best players in the Nation. Your coach didn't get the job. Instead of being on here and being mad cause he or she didn't get it, you should be giving support to the coach that recieved the job. I personally watched OS junior high teams play this past year and I for one would say that OS fans should be happy with they coach they have cause from a outsider watching, I didn't see a junior high coach that could handle a high school team.
  9. I agree totally with you on McGavock and Hillsboro. Hillsboro having my aau player and she is also one of my favorite players in the state Jessica Mooney will have a really good chance at making to the state. Mooney will take this team as far as they will go. This is a tough substate. McGavock is very talented also. Mudu is top 5 junior in the state and is going cause alot of teams matchup problems. Wilson Central player I talked about earlier was Tierney Jenkins.
  10. I would have to agree with MJ on his state tournament picks: Heritage: Maybe the best team in the state if they stay healthy. Cait McMahan could lead this team all the way this year Oak Ridge: KeKe Stewart is the best post player in the state. If the young freshman come on then Oak Ridge maybe good enough to bring another ball back to OR. Cumberland County: Returns alot of good players from last year substate team but don't count out Bradley and Cleveland just yet. Who ever wins this Region should be in the state. Shelbyville: Adding Janay Armstrong to a team this team should put Shelbyville back in M'Boro. Still young so needs to win Region to get home substate game. Mt. Juliet: Lost some key players from last year team but will be back in M'Boro. I expect some young players to step up and help this team contend for Back to Back. Wilson Central: Having one of the best players in the area should help this legendary coaching staff return to M'Boro. The play of the young kids will decide how far they go when they get to M'boro. Ridgeway: The sleeper team that has alot of talent. Don't be surprised if Ridgeway is playing for the state title. Florida signee Lakendra Phillips will be the leader and will determine in her play how far this team will go. Kirby: Very talented team that will sneak up on someone if they are not careful. Alexis Givands and Danielle Richardson are two of the best unknown players in the state. OTHERS: Powell - Depends on Caitlin Holifield play as to how far they will go Bradley Central: If the young kids give MTSU signee Jackie Pickel some help then they could very easily make it to M'Boro. Riverdale: A team that will be one upset away from makeing to the state. Dickson County: Looked very good this summer. Will have to upset Wilson Central or Mt. Juliet to make it to the state Smyrna: A team that is very well coached that could have the best inside game in the state. I will not be suprised one bit if they upset MJ or WC and make it to the state Bartlett: If one of the top Juniors in the country Ashley Herring can get some help from the younger kids then Bartlett could make a trip to M'Boro
  11. Coacht.com, I said if you would go back and read, it is a Blue Star event. Blue Star is a national women's basketball recruiting scouting service. The money goes back into the kids. It is not free at all to run a event at a site and it also cost help. Noone in this area gets the money from the event but the kids get around 100 colleges to watch them on this one 5 1/2 hour day. I think it a great opportunity for all kids and parents. I don't care if your website publlishes this event or not cause it will be a successful event with your support or not. The real question is where the plus membership money go? How come this website is not free and Give a Free Website for the promotion of KIDS
  12. The money does not go to a individual. Exposure events are really good for the kids and getting them seen so if this website does not want to publize events of this matter then I will take it to another website. Exposure events in basketball are for the KIDS and help them get schlorships
  13. Why was the exposure event for all high school basketball players at MTSU for OCT. 2 removed from the AAU board?????????????? It was just informing the parents of the event and where to go to get information on it. I was getting a ton of emails on this i thought this was where i needed to post it. What was wrong with that
  14. Wareagle you will be coming to see this 13 under team play alot due to you having a family member helping coach this team.
  15. Rob, Why does that statement bother you so much. You had great runs the past few summers and I have been the first to congratulate you and your parents every year. All I meant by this whole thread is to alert everyone on what we are doing next year so we don't have to answer a million questions about it. I get tired of answer the same question over and over so what better place to put the answer to that question so I don't have to answer it anymore. P.S. I believe the big reason we decided to do this team was due to a certain ast coach talking with people in my organzation wanting us to do a team to give the kids off his team somewhere to play the following year. So just because this coach lied and changed his mind does not mean I plan on not to have my team. It just motivates us even more
  16. Dawn Rogers is not coaching Tennessee Flight 13 under team for the 2006 season. It amazing how people who know nothing about our progam like to get on here and act as if they know everything. Matt Insell is coaching the 13 under Flight club team. If you have any questions then feel free to call me anytime and I will answer any questions you might have about any of our teams. Once again Dawn Rogers is not coaching the 13 under club team. It amazes me how just posting what age groups we are going have next year causes this much discussion. Once again I am glad that everyone is going have a team. I am building for the future while some take the present time over the future. BTW everyone going be surprised what kids already committed to be apart of the Flight family www.tennesseeflight.com
  17. With the 2005 season over with, Tennessee Flight would like to congratulate all teams from the state of Tennessee for doing well at AAU Nationals. Tennessee Flight will be as strong as ever this coming year and would like to go ahead and announce to everyone the age groups at which we will be having teams. State wide All Star teams will be built in these ages: 12 under 13 under 14 under 16 under Blue 16 under White All teams will be very strong as always. If you have any intrest in playing in our organization you will need to notify Matt Insell asap at minsell1@hotmail.com www.tennesseeflight.com Flight would also like to congratulate members of 2005 Tennessee Flight Nike Team on their college coaches: Cait McMahan - University of Tennessee Jessica Mooney - Vanderbilt Lakendra Phillips - University of Florida Jackie Pickel - Middle Tennessee State University Kenzie Rich - Western Kentucky Good luck to all these girls and will continue to post as the other kids decide on where they are going also.
  18. I have stayed away from this topic and plan on doing so. Yes, one of our coaches stepped down but to let you know our organization is going strong as ever. We are having to turn kids away due to kids and parents wanting to be apart of our organization and not having enough spots is always a great problem to have. I will continue to stay away from this topic cause I know for fact that the director of the pride organization does not want me to start throwing stones. Miss Wareagle keep speaking the truth
  19. It looks very bad on Tennessee Girls Basketball when one of our own teams does not show up to play.
  20. Tennessee Flight will be fielding a team in this age group next year. www.tennesseeflight.com
  21. Boo Williams team which is in Tennessee Team Pride Pool is the only team this spring and summer to beat Tennessee Flight. Flight lost to the by 6 points at the Nike Boo Williams Tournament. It was a great game at which Flight gave a 6 point lead away in the final two minutes. Dayton Lady Hoopsters which is in DC Xtreme pool is the only team in last year Nationals to play Flight under 5 points. A very smart team with a excellent point guard, already committed to Ohio State.
  22. The showtime elite is filling up. Their is 8 or more teams registered in every age and still have teams calling. The cut off date is June 1 so don't miss out on a great opportunity to get your team ready for the Nationals. To name a few teams in each age: 10 under: FCA Lady Eagles, West TN Tigers, Louisville Jaguars, and WNC Lady Royals 11 under: Lousiville Jaguars, WNC Lady Royals, Lady Trotters, Dayton Hoopstars, and West TN Tigers. 12 under: Georiga Pistols, Lousiville Jaguars, TN Top Guns, Florida Essence, and West Virgina Thunder. 13 under: I will name all the teams in this age group since this age group is what your wondering about Sidetrain. Shelbyville Sport Shop, Central Kentucky Liberty, Kentucky Xtreme, Alabama Southern Starzz, Georgia Panthers, Georgia Magic, WNC Lady Royals, Kentucky Premier Elite, Philadelphia Belles, Georgia Pistols, Tennessee Elite, Tennessee Stars, Arkansas Lady Rebels, Lady Trotters, Florida Essence, and Memphis Elite. I look to hear back from West TN Tigers/Elite sometime today and believe they will be in attendance also. 14 under: Florida Essence, Tennessee Team Pride, Philadelphia Belles, Missouri Valley Eclipse, Knoxville Finest, Georiga Pistols, and Tennessee Elite. 15 Under: Tennessee Flight, Dayton Hoopstars, Alabama Southern Starzz, and Alabama Roadrunners. 16 under: Tennessee Flight, Tennessee Team Pride, Philadelphia Belles, Georgia Metros, Georgia 76'ers, Tennessee Wings and Florida Essence. This is just to name 4 to 5 teams in every age group. We have 8 plus teams in every age group and all teams attending will be representing their states at the AAU or YBOA Nationals. As I stated I listed all the 13 under teams coming to make you happy Sidetrain since I know that is the age you were wondering about. The cut off date is June 1 so if anyone wants some good competition then this is where you need to be.
  23. Congrats to Tennessee Team Pride. You played really well this weekend and in doing so you got yourself a State Title. I have been busy working on things for the next year that I have not been able to respond to CPG. Go back in your book and tell me how many 13 under state title our program has won? Yes, we would have loved to win the 13 under state but we build our teams with the future in mind. We have good teams in the 13 under age and 14 under age but we are adding different kids to build it so when they are 15 and 16 that we have a chance to compete for a National Title. We have been really successful at this in the past and that will not change at all. I am very proud of our 13 under team preformance at the state. I wish that Casey would have been 100% but that fine that she wasn't cause the Nationals is where it counts. We will be stronger at the Nationals due to Casey being 100% and with the 3 kids that we have picked up. I look for atleast 5 teams out of the state of Tennessee to have a chance at being in the final 16. Good Luck to all teams in Dayton!! If you people want to see a really good warm up tourney for 13 under Nationals come to Shelbyville and Murfreesboro for the Showtime Elite June 10 - 12.
  24. Dont forget that tonight's 13under AAU game will be broadcast on ShowtimeBBall.com beginning at 9:00pm. Sport Shop takes on TN Pride. Click here to listen
