  1. Here's something that would amuse us all, in my realistic opinion. How about TROMO and Dunn in a little one on one on the court?! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  2. Your negative attitude toward LA has given us all something to have fun with. Yeah you said what you wrote here but then again last night, or this morning, you reminded us where we heard it first. If it's no big deal to you and you are just giving your realistic opinion, why are you thinking about it at 3 in the morning? Maybe you are one of the players trying to motivate the rest of the team, but I doubt it. You'll learn to deal with it. If I were on this team and needed motivation, and I don't think this team needs more motivation, I'd get it from people like you. So as a fan of LA basketball, thanks TROMO. By trying to bring this team down or cause doubt, you are probably giving them the motivation they need. Let me be the one to say job well done, TROMO.
  3. Wanteddeadoralive.......someone else pointed it out earlier in this thread and I think they're right. TROMO must be from Livingston. Jealousy is keeping him/her up really late or getting him/her up really early. These last two posts were before 4 this morning. It's probably not the color of the jersey blinding TROMO..... its jealousy. He keeps posting that he doesn't want LA to make it back to the state tournament and has given enough clues that its obvious this person is from Livingston. Imagine being that eat up with jealousy, envy, whatever, that instead of taking in a good movie /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> last night or possibly having a date /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> that TROMO wasted money coming to watch another LA win. Keeps pouring money into the LA program hoping to see a loss. Hey TROMO. You might get some satisfaction out of knowing that LA has already lost twice this year. Dwell on that. You're right. Dunn pushes off sometimes, like most guards do. Tell me. Will you attend TTU games just hoping to see Dunn lose there too? I'm sure you're glad he's got a full scholarship there. Or will you find yourself torn between TTU and LA where Coach Melton has won about 80% of his games. What will you do? And it probably makes you feel better knowing that LA didn't win the state tourney last year. They only made it to the state tournament and finished 30-5. No matter what you say, these kids will always be proud of their accomplishments whether or not your predictions pan out. They are one of the most, if not the most successful groups that have ever played at LA. Nothing you say will change that. You arent' bothering them, your making yourself miserable. And if these kids are what they seem you just motivate them with your insecurities /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> . Do yourself a favor and move on. Pick up a hobby. Learn a trade. Here are some things you might try to help you forget your infatuation with LA boys basketball: basket weaving, poetry, can collecting, stamp collecting, volunteering with the Red Cross, etc. There's an array of activities you could do. Try writing your thoughts in a journal. That might be theraputic. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Surely you can turn all this negative energy into something positive for yourself. We have too much trash on the sides of the roads. Imagine how clean your drive to pick up your next date could be if you just picked up trash or something. You can do this! Say it! "I think I can. I think I can. I think I can. I think I can." Oh yeah. Dunn is what 5 foot 8. How big would you have to be to do what he's done. Do you have dreams about having superpowers like that? What would your superhero name be? More jealous than a speeding bullet.....HATERMAN to the rescue!!!!!!! I'm having a blast, but probably giving you more attention than you deserve. But it does tick me off that these kids and coach Melton work so hard and achieve so much and someone like you has to try to bring them down. Go LA! You deserve everything you've achieved and so much more. Some people are always gonna be miserable and misery loves company. Take care of business LA. One game at a time. Dekalb is next.
  4. Another uneducated stab. Pretty sure the same applies to Upperman. Don't you know who coached at least the majority of these players in junior high? At LA, it was the same coach they have now. Guess he must have done such a good job then that it really is 'nice to walk into a program with so much talent' that he doesn't have to do any coaching. But you may not be completely wrong. LA and Upperman probably don't have to do a lot of coaching against some of these teams that aren't competitive. At least with all the older "talent". That could be why they do more coaching with the younger players at the end of the game in a real game situation. However they do coach when they play the tougher teams on LA's schedule, including Upperman. No one is going to agree with every decision a coach makes. Why not give credit where it's deserved. Insulting Coach McWilliams and Coach Melton doesn't make the others look better.
  5. LA can beat Fulton. For starters, just show up and play like they can. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  6. well fill us in. Why is York coach being replaced? Has he decided not to do it or is administration making a change?
  7. Three top AA teams there in CPA, Livingston Academy, and Bolivar. Would love to see the LA/Bolivar game. Someone let us know how these games go.
  8. I think we all know that LA could get knocked off. It's hard to keep winning and never lose a game. In theory they can't win them all right? But I think everyone agrees they have the best team and should win. But you have to play each game and when everyone is out to get you like they're gonna be out for LA, it wouldn't be too surprising to see LA lose a game. I've seen this team play a lot though, and somehow Coach Melton always has his team looking like they are out to get someone, even if they are the targeted team. Speaking of successful, Melton has lost what, two games in his three years in 7AA. What's his record 40-2 or something? That speaks for itself. Your right though. DC beat LA at LA but who won the district regular season and tourney that year? LA did with mostly sophs. Correct me if I'm wrong, but LA has won the reg season and district tourney since Melton has been there. Anything can happen, but you'd better be ready to play LA. They're gonna be ready for everyone else. You can take that to the bank.
  9. I remember that too Senator. Anyway.....Go LA!
  10. That firing thing might have happened because of the attitudes of those few who didn't want him winning anymore. I think he was fired and rehired the same day. Then they said he was never fired. But you know how small towns can be. I agree he was too fired up at times but he seems to have calmed down a lot and showed a lot of maturity on LA's way to the state tournament last year. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Now LA is one of the teams that lots of people are picking to get back to the state tournament. Like him or not, his players seem to like him and produce for him. I'd say most coaches either dread coaching against him cause they know what's coming or they look forward to it because they like a challenge. Coaches are loved and hated. especailly coaches who win. Now lets get back to the topic at hand, about the best teams in this region.
  11. I agree Senator. The kids work hard to accomplish what Coach Melton pushes for. What's up with the attitude comment? Melton has a great relationship with his kids and they seem to really wprk hard for him. And they all seem to get along well so I'm not sure I understand what that's about. But oh well. I predict LA to win.
  12. Interesting prediction for Cannon County, ankles. They may improve, but that much. really?
  13. Who will be the favorites in these districts this season? Will 8AA be between White House and Station Camp again? What about 7AA? Livingston Academy and Upperman again? Someone tell us about the other teams as well. I wonder if Greenbrier, Portland, Goodpasture, or DCA will be able to challenge for their top spot. At the same time, will York, Smith County, Cannon County, Dekalb, or Macon County be able to push for their distric title? There are some good.....great players in this region. John Jenkins, Chase Dunn are definitely the top players. Both are D1 commitments. LA ended SC's run last year in a classic where Dunn had 50 and everyone knows Jenkins will probably lead the state in scoring...again. LA had a great run to the state tourney last year and returns a what I believe is a loaded team. A couple of teams probably can, but do you think anyone in 7AA will dethrone them? They've won the last 4 district titles. I believe LA will be a force for anyone to handle night in and night out. Until something changes or someone changes my opinion, LA is my pick to win the region again and has a good shot at a state title.
  14. not4sale obviously started a new name just to bash the coach. like some others have said, very classy. not4sale obviously doesn't like the coach, because he just keeps talking about him. anyway, its kind of funny how determined not4sale is to run him down.
  15. I am so proud to be a Livingston Academy fan. You boys had a phenomenal season but just came up a little short. I thought you could beat Fulton, but they were better that night. Great job and congratulations to all the players and Coach Melton. Can't wait for next year. Coach Melton's tough scheduling is paying off. You guys were 30-5, won the regular season district, region, and substate and finished in the final 8. The state tournament. Look at who your five losses were to. Centennial, very tough team. Creekside GA, very tough and athletic. CPA, also in the state tournament. Union City, undefeated 1A State Champs, and Fulton, AA State Champs. Congrats!
  16. i think everyone knows your opinion and what you were saying. More importantly, GO LA!
  17. iluvit, i'm gonna blast what you wrote. But before i do let me say that if you clear up what you wrote and make it not seem like a stab at the boys and coach Melton, then i'll say that I misunderstood. I take it by your "SHOULD" "finally" and "never will be" that you might be pleased if LA wasn't playing in the STATE TOURNAMENT. and you seem to have a problem with the fact that some of the players are related to the coach. here goes. Man! I gotta get to one of these reunions! I'll bet they sell tickets for the pick up games after dessert. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I heard the next one is gonna be at Thompson Boling Arena because its such a large family. Candace is gonna get Sheldon to help guard down low. Maybe you should change your name from iluvit to ijealousofit. Your insult doesn't even insult coach. it insults all the guys on the team that aint realated to him. They have worked so hard. I'd say any team that reaches the BORO has worked there butts off. DId you see the packed gym at LA in the substate game. Lots of true fans there! Do all of us true fans a favor. if what you wrote was what it obvioulsy was...a slam on the LA boys basketball program, then you "SHOULD" save your money and time and energy. Stay home. Don't go to the STATE TOURNAMENT and watch. Dont even turn on your radio. All of these kids, and they are all related to someone, will get out there and make us true fans proud no matter what the outcome is. They will continue to work hard. Look how its already paid off! "Never will be"? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> LA only has two seniors. Ill betchya this isn;t there last trip to the STATE TOURNAMENT. I may not agree with everything the coach and the players do when it comes to the game. Well i guess i can;t think of a coach or team that i always agree with. But that is part of sports and life. Its amazing the success of this team and you make a ridiculous post like that. GO LA! Its been awesome watching ALL of you. Love following you guys. We are behind you all the way. Play your game and you can beat anyone. Start with Fulton and take care of anyone between you and the gold ball. You deserve it!
  18. Great job LA! These guys are really playing some ball at the right time. Everyone is contributing and just wearing the other teams down. Congrats to the guys and Coach Melton. The atmosphere at LA tonight was amazing. Keep it going. Also congrats to Jackson County.
  19. I gotta go with LA in this one. Just stay focused guys and deal with McMinn Central. As far as the reference to the OCBOE, its probably not fair to make it seem like it was all of them. Everyone knows the two or three that should be embarrassed for the way they treated coach and his team. Great point though. How idiotic do those two or three look now? Anyway lets get back to the topic which is much more important than those morons. GO LA! TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS and beat MC!
  20. stiller is back and true to form. could be THE most biased poster on coacht.
  21. Coach Melton seems like a good guy & a good person. He's obviously a good coach. He's won the district regular season now all three years he's been there and won both district tournaments. I know Upperman and Dekalb beat LA last year but isn't that all LA has lost in the district since Coach Melton took over? That makes his district record 40-2 or something like that. Who knows what their problem is. Maybe there's not one. Maybe they just get sick of LA beating them. Didn't he get the award last year? Maybe his peers just think someone else should get it. Coach Melton has quite a bit of talent and I think he does a good job of getting the right ones on the floor at the same time. Good coach. Good players. Great season. Maybe they'll go deep this year. This is almost making me jealous. Think that's the problem?
  22. Looks like LA's shooting has continued and their defense has stepped up.
  23. Stealer. Why not just give the kid credit. I'm not sure which team you follow. But you obviously don't want LA to do well. First you said Dunn wasn't MVP, but since you 've been proven wrong, now you say he is MVP, but only because he doesn't play good competition. Really. Have you followed LA and seen the competition they've played this season? White County would shut him down. Who knows? These teams don't play each other so thats pretty convenient to say. If he played AAA, he'd be less of a star. Hmmm. That can't be proven either, but I bet you'd like that. You know to make your point even stronger, if Dunn went ahead and skipped his senior year and played D1 right now, I bet he'd be less of a star. Dunn has gotten to the point now that even if someone does a good job of containing him, he just makes everyone else better. And I don't even have time to get into all of his AAU accomplishments. You know what, he's even the superstar on that team of superstars half the time. Maybe his opponents nationally should get some Tennessee AAA guards to make him less of a star there too. Stop making yourself less credible.
