  1. I'm not sure what you've been smoking but... wow. Were you even at the same scrimmage, not that scrimmages matter anyway.
  2. Wartburg always has more fouls than the othe team. That's just the way they play. It's playing aggressive and fast paced and its the most fun way to play the game and it works most of the time. However, in the game friday night, Wartburg made too many STUPID fouls. There's a difference in playing aggressive and playing reckless. It's a fine line and the Wartburg team this year has not learned how to attack under control at either end of the floor. Offense hurt them as much as anything friday. But, they should be ready come tournament time.
  3. Seems to me, that if it is legal for the booster club to provide just compensation, any no votes by "certain board members" would be a clear sign of alterior motives, and not doing what is best for the kids. The kids work hard and need the best coach that the community can afford. Period.
  4. I have to agree completely. Temple, Humboldt, and Wartburg were definitely the top three teams, just to bad they had to play each other before the championship. Made for a pretty boring game Saturday. But, oh well, that's just the way it worked out this year. I do have to say that Liberty Tech was by far the best team overall down there, wow!
  5. I have to agree, I think Wartburg had the best chance to beat Humbolt, just because of the uptempo style they play. It will definitely be hard to beat Humbolt. Also, this was probably the worst shooting day they'll have. It will be tough for the remaining teams. Great season though dogs. Made me proud #2!
  6. Wartburg is playing Greeneville because the rest of their schedule is well... lacking. The district is really down this year and they really need to get a look at a top notch team because they wont see one the rest of the year until tourneys. Greeneville will be a great game for them a let them know were they really stand. I'm just sorry I can't make this one. GO DOGS PLAY HARD!!
  7. As far as talent goes, see my previous post on up the page. The beiggest reason the coach needs to go is not because of not winning games, it's a complete and total lack of discipline and character. Also, wartburg can't just drop down a class if they have too many students. As far as parents go, they go to the games week in and week out and cheer for their team. Also, most of the parents that are asking for a change will not even have a kid on the team next year but realize they don't want future parents and players to go through what they have in the past years.
  8. I will be a stand up fan and say we did not have the most talent in the world, and surely not as much as the teams on our schedule. However, anyone close to the program that went to every game can see that he needs to go. My biggest complaint is the lack of discipline he has. How many personal fouls and unsportsmanlike penalties did wartburg have this year? Too many to count. That is a coaching problem. I'm not sure about the early years, but I know the past 4 years there has been NO discipline. Sure, even if Wartburg gets a really good coach, they will still struggle the next few years, but maybe it will be a little bit more respectful and look better for our school.
  9. Hey "haze" it seems your reading ability is a little hazy. i don't think that SCW86 was simply stating the facts, both teams are looking for a win to build on. I don't think that is "poking fun". And as far as looking at our own programs, i think most people on coacht know where SCW86 stands.
  10. No, we were really walking. It was almost like we trying to hard to make something happen to quick. We would get a steal and then try to make the play maybe to quickly. Everything just seamed a little out of sink. But, hey thats the way the ball bounces sometimes. GREAT season though Wartburg!! Just keep workin and we'll be back next year. i really hate to see jeremy, jason, ray, and josh go. you guys have done great things for our program. Oh yeah, good luck Cosby.....much respect
  11. I'm not being rough on our players. I am one of our biggest fans. However I am just pointing out the obvious. And yes, wartburg has great players. We just didnt play great last night. The walks and double dribbles comment was made to point out that when wartburg caused a turnover, they couldn't convert that into points by virtue of a bad pass, walk, etc. therefore, just handing the ball back to cloudland. And as far as good defense. Wartburg has seen better defensive teams this year, as Harvo pointed out. Wartburg had open looks all night. The shots just weren't falling. I do not in any way mean to be disrespectful to either team. Just simply pointing out the facts of what happened last night.
  12. I'm not sure what happened with the fans, but as far as the game goes, cloudland did not impress me at all. Wartburg basically just handed them the game. When they weren't shooting the ball off the rafters, they were just handing it to cloudland by either walking or a double dribble. I hate to say it, but i would say cloudland gets beat in the first round by 30
  13. Please know that not all of the wartburg fans have our heads stuck up in the clouds somewhere, I have a lot of respect for the Oneida program. It is really embarrassing for some wartburg idiots to get on here and make us all look that way, especially for former players
  14. It really makes me MAD being from Wartburg and seeing crap like this on here. I Love this team as much as anyone. But, quotes like the one above make the rest of wartburg people and fans look stupid. Win first, then you can talk. This team has got a looong way to go. They're really going to have to step it up 2 or 3 notches to go anywhere. With that said, keep working hard dogs so i can make the trip to the 'boro that i never got to make
  15. Wartburg playing at home? Dogs by 10
