  1. I can asure you he is not the only one interested in knowing about what Hutto decides. When did Thompson coach at Lebanon ? I have been following LHS basketball for a while and that name doesn't ring a bell.
  2. I have followed LHS basketball for 10 years and my comments weren't meant as a slam on LHS. I feel that Lebanon has 2 choices... 1) Get an experienced coach that has a reputation as a good coach and can compete in the "recruiting" war or 2) get a young coach who is willing to devote several years developing the program again. To me Anne doesn't fit in the rebuilding mold, why would she leave a successful job and program to spend twice as many hours for 1/2 the results? I would love to see LHS regain their girls program but I think their best option is #1. Get someone who people have heard of that will not have to build a reputation and let them start building. I still don't know who the "mystery" man from Ky. or Ms. is but if he lied about teaching credentials he might not be the best choice either.
  3. I can't imagine Anna leaving MJ. There will be a time soon where she will be a head coach but this would be like taking a career step backwards for her. She will be one that gets a job at a successful program when someone moves on or retires. It wouldn't make sense for her to apply for this job.
  4. Read my post... wasn't talking about the west... just 14A folks from the west. You could also only have 1 champ from the west !!! This wasn't really about the west though just about people 2 weeks ago from 14A arguing about who would win gold and silver UC or Humboldt and that no one else would stand a chance in the 'boro. WRONG
  5. How do you figure that is a boycott ? It is a STANDARD as you stated. The admissions, test scores, behavior, and conduct policies are thing that should be shared by the public schools. Going to school anywhere is about getting an education. If you look at my other post on here you will see my child was in public schools for 11 years, had a 3.6GPA and had NEVER had any discipline problems. Guess what the private school did ? Put him on academic and disciplinary probation!! Yes there are higher standard but most private schools take kids that have had problem with grades and behavior and put them on probation and try to help them. As far as the fees they help offset the tax dollars we don't get ! Read the whole article and you will see that the ruling fom the court case said that BA won.Mostly because the case was based on jealous schools and coaches and had no merit. I guess our ticket prices are going up Ronnie Carter is going to have to find a way to pay for BA lawyer fees for 8 years !! And Indian, the boycott was because people wouldn't play BA, and TSSAA and Mr. Carter tried to "encourage" teams not to play them in an effort to punish them because they had the guts to stand up to Ronnie and his buddies at TSSAA.
  6. I for one am just glad to see all the loudmouths from 14A a little quieter today. All those predictions about the gold and silver ball going west and "guarantee UC and Humboldt in the finals on Sat." It's hard for ya'll to think good basketball is played all over the state. To those of you that have shown class from the west this isn't to any of you. All that said I believe the gold ball goes EAST since I'm in the mid-state and don't have a dog in this hunt. I've seen both teams now and as good as Weddle is I think Van Horn is quick enough to stay with him and V-H has a heighth advantage. Also the post game goes to Grace and that gives them all the advantage they need Grace by 9.
  7. 2 riddles in a row. For the uninformed why don't both of you say some names??
  8. tnd would enjoy meeting you... we will be at the field Fri @ 3:00 and Sat @11:00. They played 2 yesterday. I agree.... it's a shame when someone who has NO CLUE what he is talking about compares high school athletics to rape. But I think you might have given away some of his identity when you said he was a small coach at a public school... I mean a coach at a small public school If you get out just find some one you know and ask for #21's dad.
  9. Bill since you didn't respond to this I wanted to add a few more things. You always respond in anger and stupidity to tndeveloper and it seems like you don't get the point of what he and I are saying. we have both seen the 2 sides to this issue. Have you ever been involved in a private school ? I already know the answer but I want you to understand outside your fantasy world is reality... just a few "public" schools you should consider before you lay all the "cheating" on the private scools ... and this is a very short list of only Middle Tn. schools, and some or all of these have been mentioned, Shelbyville, Wilson Central, Riverdale, siegel Brentwood (not Academy ),and the list goes on and on... NOW I have to ask this question 1 more time.. IF you are an adult, why do you feel the need to do the big caps and color stuff ? Obviously that "public" education you have is good for something...if you can't out think them try to confuse them !!!
  10. Bill you are a VERY angry man. I know you won't tell anyone about your deep hate for private schools but I'm assuming some school where you ( or your kid ) go has 1) lost a great athlete to a private school OR 2) gotten your butt kicked by a private school. I am a parent who thought idoitic things like you and made sure my 2 children got a good public education. The youngest of these 2 is a male he played sports his whole life and was an AVERAGE athlete. The public school he was assigned to go to was not the best (not sports wise...enviroment wise ) so he asked me if he could home school his senior year... oh by the way he quit all sports his jr. year. After 1/2 a semster of home school he came to me and wanted to graduate from a school. We went the private route and my child or I couldn't be happier. He got in 1/2 of one sport and all season in another... AND I might add has made a good contribution to both teams. Try not to hate something you obviously don't understand. I can name at least 10+ students in this area who live out of zone in public schools in several different sports but were "recruited" because playing on a winning team was the most important thing. I assure you it is as common in public as much as private... grow up don't be so naive.Oh and your wanting to write every thing in caps and colors has convenced me you must be about 12 years old because you want to be seen AND heard... no one is impressed... grow up and come to the real world where that big bad private school monster won't eat you.
  11. First of all this "son" is probaly old enough to be your daddy. Not taking anything away from Troy but it seems Coach Hutto did ok AFTER Troy left. All Bradshaw did this year was set a school record for wins in his 4th year as a head coach and the one you didn't mention was Keil who took an average team and took them to the region semi's. If Hutto didn't teach Troy anything why does WCHS and Coach Bond still run some of the same plays that Hutto ran even before Bond came along? Hutto also developed AAU programs that would help feed LHS better. His coaching ability also has built some "character and discipline" that is much needed in high school sports today. Since you question his coaching ability ... how many teams have YOU coached that went to the 'boro?
  12. If you are from Lebanon you must have had a bad experience with the Hutto I, and most of this community know. if you are who I think you are he probaly knocked you down a peg or 2 when you thought you were the "best" athlete around. If I guessed wrong sorry. So he coached in a city league so did Troy Bond and Anthony Ford. See, when you have children you do things like that. Look at the assts. Hutto turned out, Bond Wilson Central, Kyle LHS Bradshaw FCS Randall Hutto has forgotten more about basketball than Darien Brown knows. Hutto took a LHS boys program that was average at best and turned it into a place opponents DREAED coming into. I can't believe you would call Hut a "social climber who wants to be seen and heard" I have known him for 10 years and that is not the man I know or that anyone with any brains knows. He is a highly respected in basketball circles and PHargis he will have this WHOLE towns support if he gets the job. I for one hope if he has applied he gets the chance to turn this girls program the way he did boys.
  13. If you are going to do that why limit it to just athletes ? Maybe Johnny or Susy really want to get an education they feel is better at a private school ( not saying it is but that is how the child feels ) do we need a web site for them too ? The idea that because an athlete transfers to another school so there MUST be somrthing involved such as cheating, recruiting, money etc... is so RIDICULOUS. It has been on here on so many threads... I repeat if you know of these things happening report them otherwise quit beating this already dead horse !!!
  14. I heard yesterday from a very reliable school source that Hutto HAD applied for this job. If he does the things that he did with the boys program he could ( in a few years ) make the girls at LHS compettative once again.
  15. Think this will be a good game for the first 3 quarters but I think Clay will pull this out... not by as much as you df Clay by 5... although if I look on other post I'm not sure if either 1 of these stand a chance ( or Grace either) because they are not from the " great 14A " good luck to Clay and Grace hope to see you BOTH on Sat!!!
  16. Would love to see you back here ... I'll keep my ears open... Cameron has changed some since you coached him 6 '3-4" about 200 lbs and can NOW throw a nasty 2 don't know how much he will pitch with FCS depth. I got your e-mail from the other thread and will drop you a line if that's ok
  17. Another recruiting cry baby!!! How 'bout just saying they are better than ya'll and will win the district again ...STOP YOUR WHINING
  18. Friendship Christian vs. Hendersonville 4-2 W vs. Cookeville 3-1 W vs. Farragut 4-4 tie all these are AAA schools so FCS has done good ... but these don't count they are only scrimmages
  19. Yes do you know him? I edited this because I saw your name before... on the left-handed catcher thread !!! I guess you do know him since you coached him for 2 years... where are you and what are you doing? Haven't seen you for awhile
  20. I totally agree ... my comment about Mr. Carter and the TSSAA were general since they have not always made great decisions. I believe the only fair thing in this situation is to do what they did and just let the teams prepare for 2006. I was reponding to an earlier post where someone cogratulated FCS on being able to call themselves last years champs.

  22. I've seen a few post about Trousdale... what have they added that will make them so much better this year?
