  1. I know everyone was done scheduling over the winter, but if anyone is still looking for a tournament, we are hosting Katie Hunter again on sept 3-5 in Oak Ridge. If anyone is interested, please email me at ladysoccercats@gmail.com. Hope everyone is enjoying the summer and conditioning.
  2. thanks Reaction! Definitely a new challenge, but very exciting. Guess you may have to keep up with the girls boards a lil more. I need to find you and G some cardinal apparel now! Hope married life is treating you well. Congrats to your boys at Boyd on the State title. An AMAZING story!!!!
  3. Trying to fill out our schedule for the fall at Oak Ridge. If anyone is available for scrimmages or a match please contact me at ladysoccercats@gmail.com. Thanks!
  4. 1 nil, 2 mins remaining in half, another weather delay.
  5. If the game was in the postseason, than you must have a winner. This is actually addressed during the administrator's meeting before the match. While you have ties in the regular season. The post season requires someone to win. Therefore you are awarded a goal for winning the pk shootout. This is by TSSAA guidelines, not CoachT or Eurosport. You may have ended regulation in a tie, but the final outcome is recorded as a 2-1 victory for lavergne. I do believe you should note that it went into OT and PK's to give credit to a great match, but it is not recorded as a tie.
  6. Dang APB, your first soccer post of the year and you gotta call me out like that!!!!?????? It's OK, I know you're behind us this week. Would love for another match up, but know both teams are going to have to play incredible this week. Just looking at the 7 I know are going, its going to be tough to advance in any round. I'm just really excited about the opportunity to go again with these boys. They have been through so much this year and many times it looked like we would fall apart and it would come to an end, but they just tighten their boots and keep fighting. I'm very proud to be part of this team. Good Luck to everyone at state. Gonna be some great soccer.
  7. Grad69, I am actually a former oak ridge player from many years ago so trust that I'm always pulling for them except when we are on opposite sidelines. My feelings on this is OR came out fired up and with a great strategy. Coach Day has done a great job over there, especially for his first year and being hired so late. I think we really do have to give them more credit. They came out fighting and we're able to play even with one of the best teams in the country. I am going to address some of the comments about farragut and Coach Culbreth briefly. I am good friends with both Culbreth's. They are ultra competitive and very confident. But look at their track record and that confidence is well deserved. I won't give examples, but I can tell you that behind the scenes when no one else is watching, they are very discipline-oriented and hard on those boys when they get out of line. I believe part of their warm up is to keep them loose to play. Can you imagine the pressure those boys feel every match knowing people are coming to ruin your dream season? Please don't feel like I'm attacking you or your opinion, I just wanted to state my view. I wish both teams could advance b/c I think OR is playing some top level soccer, I know they did against us and think they could compete at state. Only good things are happening in the future for the soccercats. Best of luck to Farragut the rest of the way. Hope to see you in the 'Boro again! On a side note, everyone is debating really well without making any statements too personal. Love seeing the sides argue your side, so please don't get nasty about players, coaches, or posters.
  8. I think you have to give Oak Ridge some credit for coming out and playing a great match. Farragut may have had an off night. How many times have you watched them play grad69? I'm pretty sure they have beaten 6? teams rated in the FAB50 by ESPN. So the ranking seems pretty deserving to me. I would be shocked to see them knocked out at any point of state. And I'm sure Coach Culbreth doesn't mind your comments on here, kinda like poking a lion with a stick.
  9. Aha, busting on me about the hair! Next thing you'll start saying I fake knee injuries. Can't lie, I don't like playing so frequently, but the alternative is unacceptable. Hope we can have a fourth match, but we both have tough roads ahead. Looks like AA/A is loaded this year so just getting to this point is awesome. We will have some fun on Thursday and Pray we both come out healthy. In all truthfulness, this season has been so challenging with obstacles, and I know people outside really don't care, but it has been awesome to see young men rise up and play with so much heart. Never expected to have 3 freshman starters at this point. I know I have learned so much about faith and trust. I really is about the journey and not the destination. Good Luck to all, guys!
  10. Alcoa - 3 Pigeon Forge - 2 Gotta give PF credit, they never quit and had a strong club and a good game plan. Glad we got out of there with a W. Now off to CAK again for round 3!
  11. KNOCK OUT TUESDAY is back again. Looks like alot of good match ups. I know with redistricting we are playing someone we haven't seen before. Wondering if anyone else has some new matchups or good storylines. I heard about some unfortunate news out of west TN. Hate it for those kids. Good Luck to all. Hoping we live to play another day!!! Though I think I've about filled my quota for playing at G's place!!!!!
  12. Chuckey Doak @ Elizabethton USJC @ Greeneville East Ridge @ Boyd Buchanan McMinn Central @ Hixson Livingston Academy @ CCS Merrol Hyde @ CPA Marshall @ Fairview Notre Dame @ Friendship Christian MLK @ Clarksville
  13. And just imagine there are a few of us who actually coach both High School and Club teams at the sametime. And before anyone thinks I'm cheating I actually coach a boy's club team with kids that are my rivals during High School while I do our high school girls in the summer/fall. Takes alot of time, but I love it. But back on topic, Good Luck Culbreths and Turner. Hope the rain holds off and you all stay healthy. You guys look like the class of the state again so I hope you can keep matching up and bring the Championship back to K'ville. Hey G, just a thought, but we should do the same thing!!!!!(But I get the gold one this time, you have 6!!!!)
  14. Graduation at 7 pm tonight, so I will only make it in spirit. Send my best to Coach Day, and please keep me updated on the progress of the match.
  15. Kinda surprised we are not hearing anything about this match. Last time sounded like a great match ending in a draw at the last moment. I know supporters of both these teams have been nonexistant this season. Having played both, with OR much more recent, I expect it to be an awesome game. Good luck to both teams. I'd have to favor HVA in overall talent, but Coach Day had his boys rocking when we saw them last week so I won't pick against him. I'm going 3-2 Oak Ridge in OT.
  16. Definitely a fun match to be a part of last night. Holt scored two great goals. Brodus had a nice one. Plenty of swings in momentum and good chances for both teams. CAK moves the ball really well and we love to counter so its a pretty interesting match up of styles and I know the coaches love the chess match. I'd venture to say that both of us have some pretty tired boys today with the temperature and how hard the match was played. Good Luck to both on Tuesday. I'd love to do it again next week!!!!
  17. HEY NOW!!!!! I clearly remember the sniper in the trees that took me down that day. And that "boo boo" only took 2 surgeries and 6 months to recover from. On a note about the actual game. Its gonna be hot!!!! I know both teams are as deep as previous years, so I'm just hoping fatigue doesn't become a factor injury wise. Glad in the end we both get to live to play another day regardless of outcome, though I'd love a home game tuesday since we have had about 2 all year it seems. Good Luck to both teams!!! G, I heard you are epic in the corner flag throw, can we settle the game that way if it is tied? I really don't want any overtime tonight!!!
  18. I try to avoid white until after memorial day But I might have some black!!!
  19. STONE MEMORIAL @ ALCOA 730 LOUDON @ CAK 700
  20. Any word on how A/AA is shaking out up there?
  21. Has anyone heard anything about Districts 1 and 2?
  22. All I gotta say to ref is......look at who else is a moderator. HOW BOUT THEM APPLES!!!!!! Sorry couldn't resist. How is seymour doing this year, haven't heard much about that district at all. Hope coach payne is doing well up there.
  23. These boards have been pretty boring for the most part this year. Know we have had a few good topics that brought out some of you, but this really seems like an uninterested year on CoachT when we have so many great stories going on, I don't understand why. Just hoping the postseason brings everyone back out. Heck with just the new districts, we don't know who will be playing after next week. Good luck to all, hope some folks will start throwing some posts out.
  24. Wish I could make this one, but we have a match of our own. Good luck guys, hoping everyone stays healthy and is ready to make some runs in the playoffs. Hope to see you both in the Boro.
