  1. nike vapors are great cleats. ive had mine for nearly a year and they're still in decent condition. anyone know anything about the diadora totti's? ive heard they're good and im thinking about buying a pair.
  2. it wasnt a "very dumb" challenge. it wasnt studs up like everyone is saying and there was no intent to hurt the player. he simply went for the ball but instead tripped the player up. i can see a yellow card but the red was wayy to harsh.
  3. couldnt agree more. CBHS was the best team we played all season by far and they deserved to win just as much as we did. i do, however, think their coach could have been more sportsmanlike but the team itself was very respectful. i got kicked in the leg by a CBHS defender(#12 i think) causing me to miss the remainder of the game with a pulled hamstring, and even though everyone(myself included) knew it wasnt his fault, he still apologized and came over to see if i was ok. you guys were an incredible team and played a great game.
  4. if that coulda been put together this year it would have been an incredible tournament. having the top 8 in the final rankings play in a playoff is a great way to determine the true state champ.
  5. tnfc is wayyy too talented. they've won state 3 years in a row and this is their strongest team yet. they added so much talent during the HS season. brandon tarr, patrick kelly, ozzie fraire, daniel tackling and bo(dont know his last name). add those players to already talented team and you've got a very strong region competitor. good luck to alex, steve and all the tnfc boys at regionals.
  6. Lion10L, you must have meant the u17 tnfc b/c the u18 will NOT lose at state. i think you're forgetting one small fact......those guys finished 2nd at regionals to the eventual national champion.
  7. well said. i saw on here somewhere that the cbhs coach complained that pk's was the wrong way to settle it. and i agree with dr.phil, i never saw one complaint about pk's being the wrong way to settle it from him after the MBA game.
  8. the best game of all classes, in my opinion, is the DII final between BGA and CBHS. both teams are very good and played really well. both teams made great plays and showed they deserved to be in the final. the best game i have ever played in by far. this is just my opinion, ive also heard about the CAK/CPA game and, of course, the H'ville/Bearden game.
  9. our(bga) keeper, will craig, stepped up huge. he had that game-saving save with ten seconds left in the 2nd second death period along with some other big saves. also, dustin dawes played great as usual with 2 goals. wade wonderlin assisted those 2 and played smart soccer. and i think our defense played the best they've ever played. wutta time to play the best. cbhs, if number 12 was the defender who would come up and rip shots, then yes he played real well. hes a great player.
  10. from what i was told fox 17 news had amazing coverage of each game. also if you check out the tennessean, bga is on the front page and has another section in the middle. cak and bearden also have sections too. never got a chance to say congrats to cak and bearden. cak, winning 4 in a row is simply incredible.
  11. ok i root for the americans just as much as anyone else, but i can guarantee you they won't make it out of their group. the czechs and italians are wayyyy too talented. we might be able to squeeze one out against the czechs but we would have to have a great game. fact of the matter is we cant do anything offensively. if you cant score, you cant possibly win. i was at the morocco game and i noticed that when the US got the ball on the opposing teams 18 they would always try to make 1 more unnecessary pass when they could have ripped a shot. they actually scored twice against venezuela but i still noticed they tried to hard to make the extra pass. if we can get it together on offense than we can compete. having said that, i think that brazil wins it and if not them than england.
  12. i didnt really have a good angle but i thought that a warning would have been more suitable. well anyway overall the ref was very very inconsistent with his calls. there were fouls that were just as bad if not worse than that red card. but it went both ways. once again, congrats to CBHS for a great season and an unforgettable title game that was well played by both sides.
  13. that was easily the best game i have ever played in. cbhs is a great team and they showed they deserved to be there. we took advantage of our few chances and came out on winning side. it was unfortunate that one team had to win but thats how it goes. congrats to cbhs on a great season. this is a picture perfect way to end our senior's careers here.
  14. i havent seen bearden play so i cant really give a good prediction. but we(bga) played hendersonville early in the season and they where a very solid side. from what it sounds like they've gotten better and better as the season has gone on. this is a very good side and i think this is their year. ill be pulling for them. get one patrick!
  15. im pretty sure sandy has been with that team from the very beginning. that's an incredible team. you have alex and brandon up top with stephen and bo in the midfield. not to mention a great backline and keeper. and adding ozzie fraire, daniel tackling and patrick kelly will only make them better. pretty much stacked at every position.
  16. i dont think there are any national players on the '88's. a lot of people have said that the '90s and '88s of tnfc are the best teams to represent TN and rightly so. also, people have been saying that they pick up a lot of talent and dont develop. they might pick up players, but the core of both of those teams has been together for a good while. i know for the '90s have been a great team since they were 10 years old. i dont know as much about the '88s but im sure its the same with them. so no, development isnt thrown out the window totally, just to some degree. the reason these teams are so good is not only because they have a lot of talent but also because they play so well together and gelled easily. good luck to both teams at regionals.

    CBHS vs BGA

stewiegriffin, what team do you play for?
  18. after playing two games, i would have to say this is one of the best complexes i have ever played on. its just as good if not better than mike rose. the stadium at mike rose might be better but this one is still pretty good. i cant wait to play in the stadium on saturday against CBHS. no doubt will be a very good game.
  19. wow thats pretty harsh about lowder. can anyone else back that up(that he didnt care)? i mean i can see him having an off game and being frustrated but rarely does someone just not care about state. i really wanted to see brentwood play but i guess i cant now. sounds like bearden played one heck of a game. lowder is a great player, best of luck to him at louisville.
  20. any news on the mccallie/mus game?
  21. cbhs beat mba in a very good game that went to the second five in pk's. mba stepped up big time and really gave themselves a great shot to win. hats off to them, they gave that game everything they had.
  22. i wasnt very impressed either. our defense was pretty solid until they made that late error resulting in a goal. as for the attack, it wasnt great at all. we had some pretty good chances but we just couldnt seem to net one. they better step it up in germany.
  23. that's an easy one. just get as many touches on the ball as possible. if you're at home and you're bored, go outside and juggle. maybe this isnt the best way to go but usually im dribbling around my house with a futsal ball.
  24. lol im sure he took no offense to that.
