Safe travels to all. I will try to be at the Grace game tonight to catch up with some old friend from Karns. Hoping to be able to catch the game I did my #s on. CC vs Hampton. Again terrible to have these games scheduled during the NCAA tournament! if I have time I may try to run GCA and VB #s to see how close they are! Great time of the year

I came up with CC avg 72.27 gm (in 33 gms) this year and Hampton avg 67.64 (in 34gms) when I was doing my #s to calculate the spread & total the other night ( I am a math guy myself ) CC gave up 51.24 gm while Hampton gave up 53.26 Total points scored CC 2385 (33gms) Hampton 2300 (34 gms) Total point given up CC 1691 Hampton 1811

I have this gm CC -1.5 Total 122pts The #s say the score is gonna be 62-60 CC. The above is calculating the entire season. Which is honestly so close. From the month of Feb until now the #s show Hampton 61-60. Which would make the gm a Pick with a total 121.

I do a lot of NCAA capping gms. I'm gonna run these 2 teams thru my system. 1 question UKnoit.... When was Hampton @ full strength? All football players playing basketball. Which gm did they start playing?

Wow, excellent move. It is the little things that could have a huge effect on the outcome. Sorry for all the questions. Just want to be able to get a feel for the gm, what to expect or forecast w/ out seeng either team play. This is great stuff. Uknoit2, what type of zones have you seen teams playing CC on tape? It looks like Hampton has been on quite a roll since losing to Grainger Jan 4. Did they come together as a team after that gm or learn something about themselves? Shozen, how many gms have you seen CC play this year? I'm curious to know what type of defense has given CC fits this year or slowed CC down somewhat... What did MC do in both of their gms against CC Dec & Jan 5th (a month apart) and the 4 gms vs JC, how did they approach those gms?

haha. Well I have family in Jonesborough, love that area. It is beautiful up there and a friend that works in the athletic department @ ETSU. If no one has every been up that way they need to visit at least once. No doubt I will try to visit and meet you guys. I tell ya, not having seen Hampton play this year, this thread has brought more interest to the to game. I am not even playing and my juices are starting to get going!! Who should I be paying attention to and what should I expect to see with this group of boys from Hampton? Do they press? Half court trap? Straight get in your face man to man? What about offensive sets? Motion type? High low game?

if this kid gets hot why would you not double team him to see if he can handle a double team? Try to make another player step up and make some shots. Just curious on this approach. IMHO when I coach, I would never say I wasn't going to do something, I would leave every option open. For example, let's say Key has face double teams all year and has flourished .... and Hampton may have 2 kids that creates a defensive combo that gives him fits and "shuts him down" why not stick with that? But how would you know if it will work if the game plan is not to double team? Or not to throw something at him?Just curious on your thoughts...

I am the same way, I enjoy the boards and have no dog in any fight. I try to learn & scout as much talent as I can in This great basketball state. I really appreciate all the feedback, opinions and posts everyone takes the time to share. I may try to make it to the Boro for the gms. I just hate that these gms will be played during March Madness!! Bad scheduling by TSSAAThis is one of my favorite threads to check in on.

Anyone have any highlights on This Lomax kid from Memphis?

These are some good dunk highlights. But how is his ball handling skills? How is he in the post? Can he create his own shot, while being defended buy an equally athletic defender? How is his jump shot? Not bashing just curious because I have not seen this kid play live.

Could somebody post updates of the game? And I would like to know how Big Ed's was for the 1st timers! Man I miss that pizza
