You are right. Maddox played in both the Father Ryan match and the McCallie match. When they played FR he did not start but came on later in the game, but he played the whole time against McCallie.

Like everyone has said, this will be a good tournament to start the season off. I expect it to come down to Blackman or Ravenwood winning the whole thing. From what I understand Father Ryan has only played one game since the start of pre-season, so it should be interesting to see how they fair, but with only one game under their belt they might have a rocky start and may not recover in time to make it to the finals. Good luck to all the teams participating. I look forward to seeing what happens.

From the sound of things Baylor will be a sure favorite next year..... by the way, Congrats Baylor on being state champions.

The first half Father Ryan had in all their starters and the game was good on both sides. After the first half Franklin and Father Ryan were pretty equal. Then the second half Father Ryan didn't start 5 or 6 of their starters for some reason. Then Franklin got a foul called in their favor about 20 seconds into the second half and did a quick restart and caught Father Ryan on their heels which led to a nice goal just a few seconds later. Then everything just fell apart for Father Ryan and Franklin got 2 more goals within 10 minutes of the first and Father Ryan didn't really do anything from there on. I think it would have been a different game if the starters for Father Ryan had been left on the field for the second half, but either way Franklin dominated the second half and came out with a good win.

Father Ryan vs. Jp2 is a big game for the two teams. Who will take home the Win?

I would have to say the upset last year was the Ryan vs McCallie game because Ryan scored with 3 minutes left in the second over time to tie it up and go into pk's. Then in pk's Ryan got lucky that one of the McCallie players missed one of their shots.

I also went to the game but I arrived at half just in time to see the kick off. From what I saw in the second half, Father Ryan dominated. They seemed to use their outside mids more then they did their last match with MBA. Using their flanks seemed to help them a lot. They also had much more control in the central midfield which led to some good oppurtunities on goal. The Ryan defense stopped pretty much everything coming their way. What it looked like to me was that Ryan had that ball game won after the second goal. Hats off to the Father Ryan team for winning when it really matters.

From what I hear this is the last regular season game for Father Ryan. If I'm not mistaken I think it is senoir night for the Father Ryan players. So I'm guessing it's going to be a pretty big crowd. Best of luck to both teams.
