The Greenbrier running game was very impressive tonight. I'm guessing over 400 yards on the ground. Jody Dorris rushed for well over 100 (maybe 200) and Lance Roach scored 4 TD's. GB only punted once. Still some things to work on to get tuned up for the region run....but overall another impressive win for the Bobcats. 3 in a row. Hopefully we can continue to improve. Next week's match up vs. Station Camp should be a good one. Good Luck to Cheatham County.

Homecoming week for the Bobcats after coming off a bye week…..concerns me a little. Last year Cheatham manhandled Greenbrier and gave them their worst defeat of the year. I expect this year’s game to be much closer….or at least I hope so. It should be a very physical game. GB’s young secondary will have to be up to speed to contain Cheatham’s passing game. Greenbrier needs to stay on the winning track heading into a tough region schedule. I think the Marshall County game gave them some much needed confidence. Looking forward to a good game Friday night. Good luck to both teams. Big Country….No interviews…please.

I’m assuming you’re referring to what happened in pre-game warm ups at mid-field??? I saw it and also heard it talked about on 104.5 after the game. They are kids…kids who need direction, discipline and guidance. Some watch too much TV and see things that some professionals do…and think that it’s alright. There are a lot of actions I disagree with these days pertaining to athletics at all levels…but I’m a little “old school”. In this particular case….I think he/they got caught up in the moment. As for the Greenbrier fans….I guess it didn’t appear to be as bad due to the final outcome of game. Most had probably forgotten about it by halftime. Had Greenbrier lost….it may have been discussed more. Who knows? I have witnessed much worse. The apology is appreciated….Best of luck to Marshall County.

Congratulations to the Bobcats! A very well played game on both sides of the ball. MC had only 9 rushing yards total…for the game. I’m still scratching my head after seeing MC warm up. The Tennessean reported yesterday that MC QB Gower was being looked at by Vanderbilt, Ole Miss and MTSU. Good luck to MC the rest of the way.

If you insist I return….then I shall… I will be glad to answer any questions you may have: Did I lose my password? No….not yet anyway. I know some of the DL fans wished I would. Will I apologize? For What?..that I have my own opinion. Did I attend the Greenbrier vs. DL game? Yes…unfortunately. Did I say DL ran up the score? No…but it sure looked like they attempted to from the visitors side. Just one mans opinion. I thought maybe it was venting two years of frustration. Who had the better team? DL…no question…as always, well coached, disciplined and fundamental. Greenbrier is down in talent this year. Does DL have a good tradition of having strong athletics year in and year out? Yes… Do I think DL recruits? No…they don’t have to. Should there be a total public/private split? Still up in the air….but leaning towards the total split. Did I say DL threw a lot of passes? No…but they did throw late in the 4th with the game out of reach…the pass fell incomplete. Did DL leave their first team in until late in the 4th? Yes…their starting TB scores their last TD in the 4th. And may I add….he is very much underrated. Do I think the picture and caption were arrogant? Yes..without question…but typical. Did the picture and arrogant caption get under my skin? Yes..but I should have expected nothing less. Do I think the score could have been much worse? No….I thought DL dominated the 1st quarter, but GB played much better the last 3 quarters. Do I think the article on the Mustang Fan Page was Bias? Yes….but typical. Do I think some of the DL fans need to understand the word” humble”? Yes… Do I hold animosity towards DL? No…I respect and admire their program…but some of their fans are arrogant. Who do I think will play for the 3-A state title this year? David Lipscomb vs. Knox Catholic…or maybe Fulton. Did I attend the Page game? No….and wasn’t surprised by the score. Where is bulldog69? I have no idea. Do I miss BombSquad? No Do I wish the DL football program the best of luck throughout their remaining schedule? Yes….. absolutely.

Another big test for the young Bobcats. Marshall County always has outstanding athletes and good team speed. This year appears to be no different. Greenbrier must contain the "Big Play". Good luck to both teams.

Your comments are warranted…I attended the Greenbrier game Friday night….and Greenbrier finally wore them down. I didn’t even see any Dekalb substitutions after Greenbrier had their JV in. What’s the deal with # 77 for Dekalb? He could be a good player but it looks like his temper gets in the way. Overall Dekalb is a much improved team. The kids played extremely hard. Best of luck this season.

Nobody’s throwing a temper tantrum. Just stating facts…unlike some….who obviously have no idea what they are talking about. If you take it as a slam…so be it…..but one thing is for sure….it’s done honestly…… I really enjoyed his one: “No passes were thrown in the second half”. Now that’s ignorance.

Not only was the write up on the Lipscomb page filled with errors…..but the pictures show the true arrogance of some of the Lipscomb faithful. The last photo shown of the game shows the scoreboard and the final score 31-6….with the caption stating: “It could have been much worse”…..What a JOKE!!! I guess that’s why the Lipscomb starters were in the game late in the 4th throwing the ball still trying to score against Greenbrier’s JV. GOOD LUCK PAGE!!!!

There is a lot of work to be done in Greenbrier....but don't count them out just yet. Does anyone have directions to Dekalb?

Pearl Cohn was one of the most hospitable places we played last year. Plenty of parking, seating, great band and the best concession stand anywhere. One thing to keep in mind….Pearl played a very talented Maplewood team last week.

Agreed...I would also like to see him consider Vanderbilt. It would be neat to go see him, Gaston Miller (Riverdale) and Roger Herndon (Greenbrier) all on the same field.
