  1. Congrats, Bobcats, you weathered the Sycamore storm, held your composure, capitalized on mistakes, and played a great game. Other teams have been easily frustrated by the Sycamore Defense. Now, go all the way! Still VERY Proud of our War Eagles! The most successful team in Sycamore Basketball history! Love you guys!
  2. Sounds like the War Eagles are flying in under the radar again......
  3. WOW! I would have loved to watch that game! Waverly obviously has a great team, and congratulations on a fantastic season. And congrats to the Macon Tigerettes, State Bound! (lots of cheering for the Tigerettes in that gym)
  4. This has been an exciting team to watch. Strong defense, great shooters, and good intensity. On a few occasions, it seemed like they were playing at the same level as their opponent, up or down. And that can be dangerous. (remember Harpeth, fella's?) I just hope we can get more than a handfull of Sycamore supporters to show up for the game.
  5. Huh, I didn't know it would do that, cool!
  6. Here is a link to the final seconds on the Sycamore - East Lit game on March 3, 2011. Another warning - this is a pitiful quality video from a very cheap SD recorder I bought to take riding. It is 720 hd, so when I'm not shaking or screaming my guts out, it's not too bad. Note the dagger of the 15 ft. jumper by 23, the (no)foul called on 13 at about 45-55 seconds into it, the attempt to put 6 players on the court after the time out, and the Ice-Cold smoothness and confidence of 53 on the line. I so wish this was better, but I catch myself smiling every time I see it. I will put it on cd if you want all of it, there is a lot more of the celebration. Sectionals back at the Sycamore annex...I mean...Vol State, Monday March 7, 7 pm. (seriously, Vol State has been a fantastic host, thanks!)
  7. My sincere apologies, ladies, GO TIGERETTES!
  8. That's the new-fangled technology stuff the kids are all talking about? It'll never catch on. I'll give it a shot....
  9. We'll take that. WAR EAGLE!

NEXT!!! .....oh ......I guess we're done here..... WAR EAGLE!
  11. (District 9 only thread, right?) I have the last few min. of the game, and the celebration, saved on a little SD Camera. I'm sure you saw the little fat guy carrying it around if you were at the game. It's too late to do anything with it tonight, but for those who want it, I'll burn it on a disc for you. Just let me know. (More people read this message board than I thought!) I will warn you, the recording will be very shaky, the adrenaline was pumping! To the team, it will be impossible to express how proud I am of you guys. Now lets see anyone trash talk this...... Without a doubt, the BEST TEAM IN THE REGION! and you proved it!
  12. (pssst..is it Lady Tigers or Tigerettes??? I want to be sure I get it right...those girls can play!)
  13. Moving on.... Game Time - Tip off - 3 hours! For East Lit. what are their strong points? I have not seen them, but they can obviously shoot. Many high scoring games, and it sounds like they can have explosive scoring runs. On the other side of the ball, are they as quick as the other 10aa teams on defense?
  14. "US" vs. "THEM" Maybe it's a family fewd. But don't mess with the family.
  15. I believe you have stepped into the wrong thread for this. You don't have to understand, and we don't do homework. You're done, now go away and let the grown-ups talk.
  16. Via text msg from Vol State, "Macon 52-42 over Lipscomb" Congrats, Lady Tigers! All the way to State!
  17. You're missing the respect the Dist. 9 teams have for each other. You don't have to like them, but when you see how hard these kids work, and how good they are, you gotta respect them. I was glad we did not have to play Macon County again! Maplewood was much easier. (just got word Macon Co. Tigerettes beat David Lipscomb -52-42 CONGRATS!) Bottom Line, 1 team from each district advance, 3 teams from each district are done. But like the others who mentioned it, I'm a little confused about where the other trash talkers from Dist. 10 dissappeared to. I'm assuming they moved to the Baseball message boards for a little "heyyyy batta batta! SWING!"
  18. What you are missing are the battles that occured in District 9AA this year. It would be hard to describe how passionate these fans are about their teams. Pride steps up. As a Sycamore fan, a loss to White House and their BDP, or Macon County and their amazing fans, is devistating. But if they are not playing Sycamore, I'm a big fan of both. Compared to WH and Macon, Sycamore is a brand new school, and the new kids on the block. I have developed an instant respect for these teams and their fans....unless they are playing Sycamore. That being said, District 9 is a tough place to be if you are a basketball fan, but a great place to be if you are a basketball fan! War Eagle! (oh yea, there is 1 - 9AA team and 1 - 10AA team now, what's your point again?)

Huh. So where does that put Whites Creek and Maplewood? I'll have to go ahead and say it now, Sycamore has played a bunch of great basketball players this year, but they have NOT seen a better TEAM! (please note "team" is in bold letters) WAR EAGLE!
  20. Welcome aboard! I still gotta wonder what an all Blue Final would have been like....
  21. (OMG I hope Sycamore does not try this on Thursday at the finals!)

You were close, but Sycamore only won by 10 or so..... ....NEXT!!!!
  23. We did, it was a real "hoot"!
