On offense, the owls have ran the ball 95% of the time. The owls have a very talented running back #22 Mathew Polk who can hit the big one at any time. He hits the holes extemelly hard and is quick as a cat with great vision.Offensive line has improved every week,Coach Ted Gatewood is one of the best O line coaches in the state. The owls have wide recievers that can fly, running game has been so successful that the owls havent had to throw a lot. A defense must respect the WR speed , if not , the owls will air it out and go vertical. I think this game will be interesting because Oakland will go man to man against the owls WR. I expect for Oakland to put 8 in the box and make running difficult.The owls run many formations to try and see what the defense does and exploits their weeknesses. Can the junior QB Brady Reed have a big game throwing the ball down the field against Oakland? I think both defenses will contain the run . Which team can adjust and throw the ball better? On Defense , the owls are a talented bunch. the front four are as good as ive ever seen, big athletic kids that can run. line backers are very discipline and bring the hat on every play. the secondary is outstanding, speed all over the place. Teams havent been able to run on the owls defense all year long.The defense has caused turnovers all year long setting the offense up in great field position. Special teams has been a real strength this year. John Long , kicker for the owls can kick the ball in the endzone on kickoffs. This has made teams go 80 yards against the owls tough defense. Im not sure the exact number, but the owls returners have took it to the house probably 7 or 8 times this year..couple have been called back.This will be a great semi finals football game and i am looking forward to it. I look for a low scoring game, possibly 0 -0 at the half. Coach Benny Monroe is a master at the half time adjustment. I like the owls 13 - 7, home field advantage and Coach Benny Monroe being the diffrence. GO OWLS!

owls cornerbacks are both around 6' 1 or 6'2. #8 Sammy Seamster has committed to MTSU to play corner and run track, he was electronically timed at the UT camp this summer at 4.3. #4 Johnny Myricks is the defending Tennessee state champion in the 100 meter. the reason you cant run the hitch and go against the owls defense is the quarterback doent have the time. Qb basically has to catch and throw while in the shotgun. If he is under center, its a 3 step drop then throw. The ads coaches were trying to avoid all the sacks (7 previous game), thats why he threw all the quick passes or rolled the Qb out. I wouldnt blame the Ads coaches on the lose, blame the owls defense. Farragut had 2 first downs, one of the first downs was the last play Farragut ran in the game. They never came close to scoring. The only way the Ads scored was on an interception returned to the 2 yard line, and it took four downs to score from there. The owls defense was in complete controll the entire game. The admirals had under 50 total yards until less than 1 minute left in the game.Ended up with 78 total yards, 18 carries minus 3 yards rushing.The owls shut purty down 7 carries 7 yards, wasnt purty. Ads defense played well for 3 quarters, but its a 4 quarter game. Owls wore them down and coaches made nice adjustments. Owls out played the ads and owls coaches out coached the ads.

thanks tpoole, Ad's(not sorry Cletus) had a healthy running back coming into the game last time we played. He had 3 carries and was absolutly hammered all three times. The owls will be physical tonight and hopefully come out with a win. I agree with your assessment of the game. I hope all is well with ya.
