Well before everyone continues to count East Tennessee teams out of the title this year take this into consideration. Harriman went to State in 2005 in Memphis and was 2 games away from Winning it all that year with only 13 players on the team.Thay was put out in games 13 and 14 to USJ who was later that year striped of the title.This years team has 18 players 3 of which are Seniors who was freshman of that 2005 team. Congrats to all 8 teams who made it and good luck this week have fun play hard be safe. Good luck to both Roane County teams Harriman and Rockwood I will be pulling for both of you.

It seems people are forgetting that Rockwood fans are not the nicest people in Roane County either. Last week and during regular season the Rockwood fans and players was saying things to Harrimans players and fans yet when the tables are turned yall dont like to taste your own words. As far as Harrimans Fans we are there to support the players and we do. We have traveled many miles with this group of youngmen and we will travel many more in the years to come I am sure. I have been around the Harriman/ Rockwood rivalry from back when I was in school and I did not even go to either school but it was still as intense then as it is now. Had the score been different last night no one from Rockwood would be saying anything except we beat Harriman again but being as it did not turn out that was yall need something else to scream about so now you have turned it to so called rude fans. Well look in the mirror You have successfully raised and grown your very own group of rude fans and players in Rockwood with out trying to throw rocks at other schools fans. Blue Devils keep up the hard work and keep your heads held high no one can take your accomplishments away from you. You played and played hard and won as long as you know in your hearts you played your game nothing else matters on here or anywhere else. Great game and season Blue Devils. Keep your heads high you should be very proud of yourselves and your team all your parents and fans are very proud of you. Hate to see your season end this way seniors but you played with all your heart and played a great game.This team went further in this season then most people thought they would and they done it with pride and heart. Cloudland players keep your head high you all played a great game and was a great group of players and fans. That was one of the best games I have ever watched and the atmosphere was wonderful. knockknock, I am not one to try an correct people on here but in Harrimans English Teachers defence I dont think billybob is from Harriman. I believe he is from Coalfield. The reason I think he is from Coalfield is because he was responding to a post I had put on here. So yes they do teach English at Harriman just not sure where billybob goes to school for his English class.

I like how people who wasnt even at this game keeps posting things thay wasnt there to see or know what happen.Only the players know exactly what happen that triggered the fight and it isnt for anyone who wasnt on the field to say what happen. If you watch the films you will see BOTH teams are guilty of cheap shotting eachother it wasnt all one sided like most people on here are trying to say. As far as Coalfield being more disaplined it WAS NOT Harrimans coach who grabbed a Harriman player and shoved another it was COALFIELDS coach who did that. And as for disapline I know Harrimans players will be displined for their actions I cant say Coalfields will be though being as they see they done no wrong.

First off unless you where on the field the whole time as a player or a coach or a ref or a chain gang member then how could u see everything. Second I am looking at it as a fan not just a parent. Coalfield was cheap shoting players as well it is not all one sided as you and others on here are trying to make it. I have looked at the tape and it shows one blue jersey with 4 around him b4 the fight started then all of Coalfields side line was on the field and half of Harrimans was still on the side line. IT TAKES 2 TO FIGHT NOT 1 SO COALFIELD IS AS GUILTY AS HARRIMAN IS. Which I have said I do not agree with them fighting but do understand it. And it sounds like your family member who plays for Harriman should be more ashamed of being related to you then you of him. I notice no one cares to make a comment on how the coach from Coalfield grabbed the Harriman player I guess that doesnt matter either huh. AS I already said no matter how much this is fonted about on here or talked about between 2 people no one is gonna agree on what happen but we all need to at least be honest BOTH TEAMS ARE AT FAULT HERE AND RESPONSABLE FOR THE FIGHT. Harriman is not just gonna fight with out good cause. If there is even a thing as good cause for a fight. But by all means Coalfield is not innocent here so stop trying to make it look like some big bullys beat up on some little kids because it wasnt and isnt that way. Further more I do hope the injured palyers from Coalfield are ok and they did not sustain any serious injuries and good luck with the rest of their season.

How can anyone say who started this fight when both teams was taking shots at each other. Coalfield was stomach punching Harriman players all game and Harriman players was giving back as any team would. I agree the Ref's should have taken control when the game first started but they didnt and BOTH teams not just Harriman played on the fact that the Ref's WAS NOT in control. But to sit on here and say Harriman did this Harriman did that and Coalfield did nothing is just plain crap. No matter how long this is discussed it will not change what happen so if your gonna talk about it then be honest about what happen and blame all parties involved not just the team u happen to not like becuase thay beat the mighty Coalfield Yellow Jackets.

Being as all the Coalfield fans are on here bashing Harriman it's time for another BlueDevils fan to step up and defend them. It was a very hard played game by both teams but by no means was Harriman the only one guilty of the fight or bad sportsman like conduct. Both teams was giving 100% plus some. It is funny how when Harriman beats Coalfield all of Coalfields fans are ready to put them down but when Coalfield wins it is because they are the better team and are so tough to beat. I dont agree with them fighting but I understand why it happen and I am sure what ever Coach Tapp does to his team will be what he feels they deserve not what parents and fans on here thinks should be done. However I would also like to try to convince myself Coalfields coach will make sure his team gets punished for their part in it also but being as he himself put it hands on a Harriman player and was not ejected himself I dont see him doing much if anything to his own team. As for knight2 you never was a Harriman fan if the game against Coalfield made you stop being a TRUE HARRIMAN FAN. And the players are not thugs as you so called them. These are a group of a great young men who defend themselves and their teammates as they should. How can you call Harriman players thugs when it took BOTH teams to have a fight. My son plays for Harriman and I know for a fact he is not a thug but at the same time he is gonna stand up and defend his team and his teammates so before u classify these kids as thugs make sure you know them personally becuase they are far from thugs.As for the man who went on the field I dont agree with that either but I am sure he seen something happen during the fight that he felt he needed to be there and no one can say what that was except for him and it isnt for anyone on here to decide what that reason was. BlueDevils keep your head high and your pride in yourselves and your team going dont let so called Fans bring you down becuse your a great group of young men playing the great game of life and football. WOW what a game this was. I was so proud of both teams this was a very hard played game. Congrats Blue Devils for a hard fought win. This was by far the best game played this season on the field. Both teams came out ready and wanting the win and from kick off til the final kick was was either teams game. The fans was great on both sides as well they all was supporting their teams 100%. To the Midway players and coachs I would like to say you have a great team and a great bunch of players everyone should be very proud of you. Keep your fight going and win next week you still have some football to play this season. Good luck with the rest of your season. I agree with you. It isnt a rule per TSSAA but it should be a rule of thumb. Any time there is a player down the teammates of the player and the other team should take a Knee it shows several different things in the team, respect, concern,manners,hope,sportsmanship and most of all CARE for their fellow players. My son will tell his team mates to take a knee if a player is down some dont always like it but he gets them to one knee. As a parent and a fan of Harriman I have to agree some of the Harriman supporters on here are not showing very much class or sportsmanship which I am sure Coach Tapp nor any of the other coaches would like. It was a very good game played in Sunbright last night both teams played very good and both teams deserve to be congratulated on the way they played. We as fans seems to forget at times these are young men not yet Men playing the game and it is suppose to be fun for them not a reason for grown adults (smoothsmitty) to get on here or any where and talk down about other young high school men playing this game. As far as the fans for Harriman most of has has class and respect for the teams we play and the fans for the other teams but as unfotunate as it is we also have some bad adult seeds in the mix. For the boys who play on both teams that never get any hype for their contribution to the team and their abilities Great Job on your part on the team because with out you the rest isnt a whole team. Sunbright players please keep your head high and look on to next weeks game and win it and win it big dont let this one hold you back you are a great bunch of young men and play a great game go on and show the doubters you can contend.
