By the way the Morristown West defense played last night, it does not look like they have the best defense in the state. They have been great all year long but last night there were a few mistakes from the center of the defense causing two of the goals.

I agree with soccer67. How can a team who beat Science Hill and dominated DB be behind DB and Farragut. Morristown West did tie DB, but the shots were about 20 to 5 going to MW and MW hitting the post many times.

I do not play for Morristown West I am just a fan that gets to see alot of the games from the IMAC. There forward that is #15 who GO DB is talking about is Kiki I believe.

Yes Morristown West did tie Jefferson County but they also beat them this week 8-0. Just because Morristown West has not played the best teams does not mean that they are not an excellent team with an excellent defense.

This will be a great tournament to watch. It's obvious that Christian Brothers is a great team and probably the best team in the tournament but watch for Notre Dame, Morristown West, Maryville, and Oak Ridge to have great showings in the tournament. A number of these teams have been on a role and will be an extremely exciting tournament.

The coach at Morristown West is Shane Calvert. Shane is also the assistant coach at Tusculum College.

This is a very talented team who has not lost a game yet. They have scored 42 goals and given up 2. What are some thoughts on this team?

I do not believe that too many teams are afraid of Jefferson County. The teams don't play scared against them, they just get cheap shotted half the game. Most teams in the IMAC are physical but do not play like this because they play clean.

Morristown West 7 Greeneville 1

Everyone on here knows that bigtimeglove is the jefferson county goalkeeper. There is no way someone who is not biased say anyone is having trouble scoring on him. Yes 2 teams might have gotten unlucky but from the scores of the other games it must not be too hard to score on him. If he is a good soccer player, he will prove it the next time his team plays the IMAC teams. Greeneville played Morristown West tonight and got beat 7-1. Morristown had them from the start. Greeneville is a good team, but Morristown outplayed them tonight. Morristown had less oppurtunities against Greeneville than they did against Jefferson County. I watched both games; that just shows the talent that Morristown has and illustrates how good they can play when they don't kick the ball at the keepers chest.

So did Farragut win the game or was it a tie 0-0?

Morristown West plays Greeneville Tuesday night 7:00 at Burke Toney Stadium in Morristown. It should be a great game to watch.

When Morristown West played Jefferson County, 1 player from Jeff tackled 4 Morristown West players in the first 5 minutes. The ref never even had a talk to him until the last when he hit a West defender and nearly knocked the player out when neither player even had the ball. The ref then only gave the kid a yellow card. The refs at Jefferson County are always by far some of the worst in the state.

I would just like to say that Jefferson County is not a great soccer team. I had the privilege to see them play Morristown West and Greeneville. Both teams totally dominated Jefferson County but were extremely unlucky and could not score a goal. Jefferson County is a very dirty team but does not have much talent. Once they meet up with West and Greeneville again it will be another story.

The boys from Morristown West were more offensive minded than the past few years from what i've heard talking to their coach. In their game against DB, they outshot DB 18-6 and hit 5 balls off the post. If some of the shots they had bounced the other way the game could have gotten very ugly, very fast. They will have another test tomorrow playing Tennessee High at the Castle.

Morristown West has a posse that plays up top from what I hear. I know that the Kiki kid is an awesome player and they also play 3 or 4 other strikers that can put the ball in the back of the net.

J.T. is extremely fast but is not the greatest with his on the ball skills. Just slow him down and you won't have a problem. He is a very good player though.

You have Morristown West's record wrong. They have won a game and tied a game.

I believe that Morristown West will dominate their region. They have a great team this year. They only lost 1 starter from last year's team who went to sub-state and got beat by Farragut. They also have the two twins in the back Shane Voelker at central defender and Lance Moore (all state keeper last season) at keeper who have both already signed letters of intent to go on and play at Tusculum College. They also have great talent in the midfield and some underestimated players up top. Look for these guys to make a run.

Greeneville will be a good team this year but not a great team. They have some strong players but are very weak in some areas. Their weakest area is their keeper. They will win some games this year but they will need to strengthen their defense and goalkeeper if they want to be able to beat morristown east or morristown west this year.
