  1. Jo Byrns' 4 shutouts came over a span of 5 games in the middle of the season. Two of them were 36-0 and another was 40-0. Their defense is the most tenacious I've seen all year.
  2. Honestly, I wish we had that problem. Do you know how crazy this town would be on back to back nights with two home high school football games? We don't have WH size crowd YET, but it's coming around from where it started. I remember days where I wouldn't sit down n watch my own team play just because nobody else did. We've got full stands & noise now. I hope next year (even though I won't be here to see it) that the town benefits from two home playoff games.
  3. I don't think either region has a real chance to sweep. It's more likely to split or be 3-1. JBS & MTP are too strong to lose 1st round. JBS hasn't lost yet and when you think of MTP, you think of Marco Dailey. Of course, being from WHH I'm pullin for us to beat CW, but anything is possible. Cascade/WC will probably be the closest game. I think it goes 3-1 Region 5 w/Forrest losing to MTP.
  4. How is that possible?? What teams are in this region?? I think that's the craziest thing I've ever read on here.
  5. I remember posting about this topic earlier in the year when the big debate was about White House & White House-Heritage and who really belonged. WH has been here forever and WHH has finally proven itself with it's first playoff appearance. Not many towns this small get to experience 2 playoff teams that share one field both make it in the same year. My question is, do people realize how special this is and what this can do not only for the school's morale, but also for the community support? Let's hear your thoughts.
  6. Forrest may as well go hide in the woods below the mount b/c it's gonna be over at halftime. Dailey will go off like usual. It's hard to stop a 30+ TD, near or above 2000 yd. back & Mr. Football candidate. I really want to see JBS & MTP play. That would be a dogfight to the end, unlike this game.
  7. Great job last night guys. You have no idea how crazy this week is gonna be at school with all of us being pumped about our first playoff experience. It's gonna be great for everyone. I didn't get to catch the game personally, but from what I've read and been told, it was a great one. Let's go to the wood & make it burn and meet JBS in round 2. Go Pats!
  8. Not sure the name of it, but it's a 4A football school. As of a couple weeks ago when he came back on a visit he was tied for the state lead in INT's. First time he's played football since 8th grade.
  9. I agree about this issue. It was a dead thing, and Kraeger doesn't mention the fact that the TC players didn't have much to work with as far as bench depth. Satterfield mentions it, but I don't think he was trying to cover his tracks by any means. The article shouldn't have been written. You have to let us play. We're kids. We're not there for workouts, practice, and meetings week in and week out if we don't want to get on the field and succeed. Even the freshman team feels that way. They could've filled the front page better with something stupid like Channel 5 did Sunday with the Titans players' cars. We don't care what they drive. They make millions to stink it up. We're kids. It's different.
  10. Okay, we know Forrest & WHH won & McEwen lost. They're all 3-3 in region now. We know that the winner of the WHH/Forrest game gets in regardless, but what happens if for some reason McEwen loses to CA?? Does the loser of the Forrest/WHH game get in, or does it go back to head to head vs. McEwen, in which case Forrest (if they lose) would get in b/c they beat McEwen or McEwen gets in b/c they beat WHH (if WHH loses).. This is crazy, but hey, that's HS football and one reason we all love it.. Cascade11, a little help please.
  11. Regardless of how GP has played lately, I'm pretty sure their team, as well as their entire student body, knows how to get hyped for an intense game, especially if it means more home games for the playoffs. I'm taking GP in a road win over CPA, but it'll be a close one. GP 35-31
  12. This is such a huge game for both teams. For WHH, it means a 3 game winning streak heading into the playoffs in what you can assume would be a first round game @ Mt. Pleasant. It would also be our first playoff birth in our short school history. For Forrest, it means a playoff birth and a big win, as well. Either way this game will be hard fought and will be a battle until the end. I know our guys won't walk away quietly. The biggest concern for us will be the crowd because of the distance between White House and Chapel Hill. I'm taking our guys in a close one, despite the crowd and their rowdiness. WHH 17-14.
  13. I don't know much about east or west TN, but some places in Middle TN are: 1A: Jo Byrns 2A: Goodpasture 3A: White House These are pretty local to me, but I've been to games at all three places, and the crowd can get rowdy.
  14. I'd love to see it happen, but it comes down to the next two games. We have NCS at home. The real test will be when we travel to Forrest. What would be more interesting about this whole thing is if Forrest loses to Eagleville this week. That would really help our chances, but hey, won't know till the game is over.
  15. FCS should be considered in this race just as much as TC. TC had a rough start, but like Poe said, they're champs until someone takes that away. I still don't see TC being a repeat team though. FCS definitely deserves some consideration in this area. They have a great rushing attack, and a pretty young one at that. Rickaway is only a junior and Markum is a freshman I believe. They're gonna be around for a little while longer, and that includes this year.
  16. Cascade by as many as the coach allows.
  17. Is this really a fair question? Seriously, WHH is comin off a huge win against Eagleville and is really excited about a playoff chance. Forrest beat the living snot out of NCS last week, and NCS has only one win. As long as our heads don't get too big this week, which I doubt they will b/c the coaches will keep our guys in line, we'll win this one big. I'll even go as far as to say that our defense records their first shutout this year. WHH: 31 NCS: 0
  18. Don't take McEwen lightly. They can be tough. I'm not saying they can compete with JBS as well as Cascade will be able to, but they play hard. They're a pretty physical team from what I saw when they played us. It came down to a dropped pass with .6 secs left. But in all reality, JBS wins this one by at least 17. JBS: 36 McEwen: 7 (if they're lucky.. TOUGH defense in Adams this year)
  19. As much as it pains me to say this because of our rivalry, there is no denying the truth. I agree 100%. The tenacity and ability of the JBS defense is incredible and much more improved than last year. I agree w/HeritagePunter in the fact that there has been question w/the loss of Head, but Reeves has filled the shoes and done so very well. It seems like every tackle or play they announced I heard Tuck's name too. I mean they've put up 3 goose eggs in a row against pretty good teams, and can easily put up a 4th against CA this week. JBS could easily go as far as the last 4 teams, if not to the championship game. Bet of luck to them, and hopefully they'll represent our region well. Back to the game this week. It's almost friday & all I've seen you people talk about is the loss of Simms and crying about that. Is there rest of the team coming this week or was Simms all you had?
  20. It doesn't matter why Simms left or who he left to go play for. He's not in the game friday night and that's all that matters at this point. Playoff hopes are on the lines for both teams. It stinks that Eagleville has to deal w/all the crap Simms is causing because he left, but isn't the game more important than one weak-minded kid quitting?
  21. I hate that yall are having QB problems and all that, but let's get back to the game. I'm gonna say this is a close game to the end, and if I wasn't working I would be able to go n find out for myself. My Pick: WHH: 21 Eagleville: 17
