Look for the Sunbright tigers to be a sleeper from east tennessee. Not very many people know of thier talent. They lost only 5 seniors last year and are returning All-State WR Brandon Thompson. With a stocked WR core this year (Brandon Thompson, Willie Dutton, Jonathan Lay,Micheal Spurling, Garret Starkey, Josh Bell, and William Carrol) look for Sunbright to air it out with the arm of Jordan Young QB. Sunbright is also prepareing for a shutdown defense with Sean Griffith at DE, Phillip Richardson at LB, and Brandon Thompson DB to and to pair up with their good offense. After makin it to the playoffs last year, Sunbright is a older team this year with a lot of senior leadership (around 20 seniors) including Tony Poppel OT/DT and Zach Davis C/LB. Sunbright is lookin to make waves in the playoffs this year by adding all that together. Sunbright is workin very hard in the weight room to get stronger and faster this season. Last season Sunbright would either show up and play very good or they would seem to not even show up at all and fall apart by looseing their focus and concentration like they did in opening game by blowing a 20 point lead to white house herritage. This year they are workin hard to become mentally prepared as well as physically prepared. with coach Curtis Newberry in charge of one of the best teams in the district, Sunbright should be prepared to make a deep playoff run this year. GO TIGERS!!! BEST OF LUCK TO YOU IN THE UPCOMMING SEASON!!!!!!

ONCE AGAIN. Like i said in a post earlier, sunbright never writes excuses on here about why they lose. But yet everytime i get on here there is always coalfield and O.S. players and parents making excuses as to why they got beat. Call sunbright's win lucky if you want but its tourney time, so as some people say "EITHER PUT UP OR SHUT UP!!!" I'm gonna love to hear the reasons why coalfield gets put out of the tourneys........... GO TIGERS!!!!!

ahh........well thats ok. At least those sunbright boys dont make excuses for every lose they have. they just stink it up and look to improve on every game as a learning expirence. But on the other hand everytime sunbright beats a team that they "shouldn't" beat, the other team always has a boat load of excuses as why they lost. As far as everyone saying stuff about coach newberry, i dont know what or if has done something personal to you in the past, but since his past two years at sunbright he has been nothing but positive to the team and community, and as far as everyone wantin to "catch him out in town", ive never seen or heard of anyone saying anything to him but positive things to him and aoubt sunbright sports. But it sure is easy to type it on here so you can hide your lil faces..........cowards and critics is all yall are............... GO SUNBRIGHT, BEST OF LUCK IN THE TOURNAMENTS!!!!!!
