First of all the DC players have not lost respect for Butch. They come over to his house all the time, because they know that he cares for them. Butch has been at DC about nine years now. Maybe you didn't know that he started working with Perry, Montrelle and Brian when they were in the 4th grade. You'll even see a big improvement in Dustin Byrd this year and it's due to Butch and his staff. I am still sticking to my guns about him being the best coach in West Tennessee. I know for a fact what Coach Cal thinks about Butch. I heard him say that DC was one of the best coached teams he had seen. Dislike him if you will, but he is a good coach. He's a workaholic. And for your information I wore the black and gold too!

They will have six teams on Thursday night. And there will be eight teams of Friday and Saturday. I don't remember all the teams coming. Dyer Co. will play JCM (Thur.) Maplewood (Fri.) and Melrose (Sat.) They will play the last game each night. Some of the other teams coming Bolivar, Ripley, Giles County. I can't think of the rest.

And Brown know how to handle his? Say what you will about Butch...regardless of all his short comings for 32 minutes he is the best coach in West Tennessee. Not only did he bring the boys out of the bottom of the district, but the girls as well. I root for Dyersburg whenever they play someone other that Dyer County. Can't you do the same?

I know that most of those listed are from Middle and East Tennessee. I saw two outstanding guards go after each other last night when Dyersburg played Dyer Co. Suzanne Seat is one of the best defensive guards I have seen. She is always after the ball. The other is only a freshman and I hope I can spell her name correctly. Shranda Strayhorn, she is and will be a keeper.

I don't think I would call Montrelle and Brian ballhogs. The other players couldn't hit. I saw two great games tonight. Dyersburg played tough defense and controlled the boards. Dyer Co. could not hit their free throws. Antonio, who had 18 against Haywood didn't hit a thing. Two great games. Can't wait til they play again on Dec. 20th.

What difference does it make. Who cares who's right or wrong?

MG - Overtime is right. We have two excellent programs and when they don't play each other we should stand behind them. Since you are a transplant to Dyersburg and Dyer County maybe you don't understand. Go Trojans and Go Choctaws. Cheer for your team when they play each other and cheer for both when they don't.

MG - You keep saying Courtney Jones' senior year. He is only a junior.

MG - If and I say If the Jones kid decided to leave Covington why in world would he want to play at Dyersburg. Just because the Chatham's (who teach in the county school system) sent their son to Dyersburg does not mean that Tony Jones would send his. I am sure that Tony would want Courtney to get the best coaching possible. And also get the exposure of playing in the state tournament.
