  1. First off if you're were going to invade the "Buro" you never got to this game (Here's a hint it's spelled MurfreesBORO) therefore it'd be known as the Boro. Secondly I'm glad you took the time to put your cocky little rant on here so everyone can see how ignorant you are (baseball is played for a reason). Thirdly, your boy Miller threw a complete game 5 hitter (you finally got something right) but one of those hits put a four spot on the board. Next, I want to know how Coach Parker hasn't figured out he's with the big boys (let's see Riverdale, Lebanon, Oakland, Coffee Co., Siegel, need I continue?). And Finally, the title doesn't go through anyone unless they make the championship game (everything else is just a What If!). The other bracket doesn't have to deal with you unless you make the finals! So here's what I propose to you... Why don't you watch the games, heck even make a prediction or two, but leave the cockiness and attacks out of it. The game is played for a reason, because NO ONE can predict exactly what will happen! So if you want to say Indy wins 6-1 on a CG, 5-hitter from Miller; do that, but don't ever say anything about the other school, especially if you're gonna call someone out (karma bites hard!) By the way... Blackman wins 5-3... good game Blaze! Go get 'em tomorrow! Go Blaze! And best of luck Indy! You have a good team... I just hate people who get ahead of themselves! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  2. Should be well into the game they were ready to start around 6:15
  3. He will be in the lineup somehow, probably DH. The hamstring is still nagging him but he is at least able to jog fairly easily now. Also when he was warming up in the bullpen friday night he looked like he was throwing fine. If Sisco has any say in it he'll be pitching before the tourney is over. But We'll see.
  4. Blackman is finally state bound baby! Great game from Ross Mitchell on the hill tonight CG, 12k's, 1ER. HR from Tyler Brewer and Zander Wiel. Congrats go get 'em Tuesday!!!
  5. Harvey pitched the seventh and got the win. Shelby Robbins started followed by Kyle Checchin. All in all in was a good night from the Blaze pitching staff only 1 earned run, you can't fault the pitchers for the other 4. Tough game tonight! GO BLAZE!!!
  6. That game tonight might have been one of the best games I've seen. Blackman topped Coffee Co. 6-5 on a two out bases loaded single by Tyler Brewer that scored two. While it wasn't always pretty it was a great game. Congrats to both teams and good luck on Friday. Go Blaze!
  7. Yeah, it was not very pleasant to watch tonight. He was definitely in some pain. We told him if he hits a homer then he doesn't have to hobble very fast... apparently he likes doing things the hard way. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Good to see him back out there tonight. I'd doubt if he played much Wednesday. Definitely need him for Friday. Hopefully he'll be able to get through without further injuring himself.
  8. Now what I'm about to say may make it seem as if I am making a good game seem really just lucky to have happened. First off Lawrence Co. played a great game and really hung in there with the Blaze. However I want to say that Blackman was very close to breaking it open several times. 2 inning ending double plays with runners on 1st and 2nd as well as a bases loaded one out jam which Blackman only managed one run kept this game from being a blowout. Having said this, I have to give Lawrence Co. credit! They made the plays to keep themselves close just in the end Ross Mitchell was just too much on the mound for LC to overcome. Only 5 runs on 10 hits will not cut it for Blackman... tonight was a poor performance with risp for the Blaze. It will be crucial to score these runs later especially if Sisco cannot come back to pitch (which is doubtful). We're going to find ourselves in high scoring games and finding those key hits will be big. Good game tonight! Good win by Blackman! Have to finish though against Coffee Co. on Wednesday! Need those big hits!
  9. OK boys can we stop the bickering??? Look in baseball no one is simply lucky! You make your own luck. You can be facing the #1 team in the nation who undoubtedly outclasses you. They have their worst game ever, you still have to play your game to beat them... and a solid game at that. No matter what a team still has to play a better game than their opponent, there is no luck involved in that. Now as to what happened in 8-AAA I could care less because I know the two teams showing up at Blackman on Monday are BHS and Lawrence Co. If one team gets run ruled can any other team from their district really say they could have done better? Everyone had their chance and Lawrence Co. made it so I don't see what exactly the big stink is about... Pretty simple LC won the games they needed to win... can't punish a team for that! See you boys from LC at 6:30 tomorrow! GO BLAZE!!!
  10. I love this idea of double elim. it is much more baseball than this current win monday win friday mess. I have a slightly alternate proposal though... what if we were to play the region tournies as you propose in double elimination format and then use the sub state match-ups as a collegiate super regional substitute. Have the two teams play a three game series? To me it is much more exciting to see teams get rematched it adds a little drama and excitement because every game is different. Look at the 7-AAA touney... Blackman and Siegel played three times and produced some very very exciting games. I agree that right now TSSAA is way too much 1 and done in baseball. It elimimates any room for an off or once in a lifetime performance. Look at baseball at any level the best teams ALWAYS lose to worse teams its a game of multiple performances and right now TSSAA doesn't account for that. And David I hope we bring a good show Monday night. We need the bats that showed up against Lebanon!!! GO BLAZE!!!
  11. Sisco strained/ pulled his hamstring wednesday night against Siegel stretching for a ball on first. I believe he will be able to most likely DH on Monday. He took an at bat against Lebanon thursday and didn't feel much discomfort. However I don't think he'll play in the field... too risky. But he has a big bat and is a big part of Blackman's offense. Now about this game while I've heard LC can hit the ball I have no clue how 7 and 8-AAA compare in competition this year. I do know you have to do something right to get this far... So I'll take Blackman behind Ross Mitchell's arm 8-3. 8-3 Blackman could be larger or smaller depending on which Blackman bats show up.
  12. Well I can tell you that while everything is being done to get Blackman's field into shape, we really are yet to figure out the mystery of why it randomly holds water. And just knowing the way the field acts and what I heard about it on saturday, I'd be inclined to say that with all the additional rain today that even Monday is now in very serious concern. But hey the positive is we all got to go to prom last night. So now it can quit raining anytime! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  13. Now, Siegel has a really tough road. First of all they have to win district or hope Blackman faces them in the district championship. No easy task in 7-AAA and while they have been on a nice looking winning streak lately look at their schedule... if I'm not mistaken they played the top district teams early in the year and started 2-6 in district. Not saying that it can't be done. And as for Blackman... it all depends on which of our teams shows up... we have the team who humilated Oakland this weekend certainly leaving everyone wondering how this Oakland team could have possibly been competing for third in district (hint they aren't that bad). And then there's the team who goes 9 innings against Warren Co. who knows? That's why we play everyday.
  14. Hope you enjoyed the comedy of our dugout! But hey what's baseball if you're not having fun right?
  15. Well it should be an interesting tourney. Lots of evenly matched teams in the middle and as we all know from last year anything can happen. To further that point look at how the 8th place team Warren Co. took the district champs from Blackman into 9 innings earlier this year. Crazy district... glad we have the auto bid!!
