Thanks for your input and opinions. There are several kids from the school where I teach that will be playing there soon and I just wanted to get a feel for how the organization is run. Some events from other bodies that I have attended were good and some others not so good. Just wondering. Thanks again.

Tnanks, my daughter has never played up, but I think she would benefit by moving up one age group. She has played middle school already as a 6th grader and played on the 7th/8th team and got some quality time. She (as most players do) seems to play better with better talent. However, she has been hesitant to want to play up this year.

Anybody know anything about USSSA organization? How would you rate it compared to YBOA, etc.?

Opinions needed: Is it beneficial to a player if the player plays up, but does not get as much PT or is as productive as he/she is in the correct age group? Would style of play or coaching play a part in your decision? Also, would the talent level of the teammates be a factor?

Anybody know how the small schools from Area 2 finished? Also, provide any information on matchups if you can.

What Area 4 Small School team is hot? I assume that Oliver Springs is the team to beat, but who else might be a sleeper?

Coach Howard ALWAYS has his team ready to play and he uses his bench well. As for prospects, Katie Brooks should be on that list, but HHS plays as a team. Lady Mountaineers will win this one.

I haven't really looked at the brackets very closely, but are you overlooking Dobyns-Bennett? When is there a possible matchup between these two?

Could Heritage and William Blount be for real this season? Both are 2-0, but no region games yet. It appears Farragut may be down, as well as Soddy Daisy. Any insight?

Cannon is a very skilled player with a good pedigree (His dad/coach). I've seen him play numerous times and he is always THE factor in the game.

Who are the best of the junior class in the Knoxville area and where are they going after HS (draft,college,etc.)?

Heritage High School had a couple worth mentioning. Catcher - Trevor Humphrey and OF - Justin Montgomery. Keep an eye on these two

Sorry, you must be mistaken. I do coach in Blount County, but am only interested to see if any of these girls will be attending the school where I coach. I have only gotten bits and pieces from other kids who were there this weekend, but think the girl in reference will be attending my school, just wondering if anyone knew anything about her.

Which two games did you see? I am pretty sure that the game I am referencing was Friday night against Memphis Glory. Blount got way down early, but then gave themselves a chance and this girl caught fire, knocking down three treys, all within just a couple of minutes.

I heard a kid from Blount Bullets hit three triples in a comeback attempt against Memphis Glory. Anybody see it?

Were there any good perimeter shooters in the 10U at YBOA state this weekend?
