  1. Clarkrange has 4 straight wins. They're turning it around, but you've gotta keep playing hard. Looks like the trash talkers from Northwest got beat by a little no name single a school. Good job boys. Keep playing hard.
  2. I would like to see the rivalry back again as well. We got blew out most of the time by them in my 4 years, but we played them close a few times and gave them a good game when I was a Junior in the district championship game. That was in 2002 I believe. What's Pickett's record Bobcatfan?
  3. I never told them to do as I did when I played. I made mistakes, alot of mistakes, but I gaurantee you I listened to Coach and did what I was told. I didn't always do everything great or the right way, but I always tried to do what he said. I don't recall ever missing practice for anything besides something for baseball in the summer time and if I had to miss a summer practice for baseball I hated to. I came to the gym every day in the summer when Coach had it open, but this is not about me. All I'm trying to say is that Coach is under appreciated. You can say all you want about me. I would have did a lot of things different if I could go back, but I can't. That's why I'm trying to get these boys to realize that what they're doing now can't be changed when they graduate and get old like me. Thanks for commenting nativebuff. You're obviously much wiser than me. Maybe the boys can model their play after you if you played in high school.
  4. You too Polesit. Hope you're getting by alright.
  5. I couldn't have said it any better Mr.Polesit. I'm still at Roane St., and they're not known for having a great basketball team. They're decent at best, but there's only one player in the district that could possibly play for them and that's Bailey from Pickett. Although, I don't know if he would get by without having to redshirt a year. If you don't believe me, go watch them yourself and then tell me I'm wrong. They have players red shirting this year from good triple a and out of state programs. I really can't say anything more because you said it all. Coach is not appreciated enough, bottom line. He's sacrificed time with his wife and little girl to try and rebuild a program that's been down for years, but he's not been met on the other end with the same effort. I know my patience would have already worn away. I didn't get on here to degrade anyone. I just want everybody to know that Coach wants our boys to win more than anybody. He's not sacrificing time away from his family because he enjoys losing. Good luck against FRA. If our boys want it enough they can still turn this into a respectable season and make a run in the tournaments.
  6. I agree with you about the boys having to play hard the whole game. I disagree with Laws being a college prospect. I'm not putting the kid down or anything, but I can't see him playing on a college team. He's a good player and one of the better one's that's played at Clarkrange these last few years, but he would have to improve many things to be considered a prospect. He was a smart player as a Freshman when I played. The boys need to listen to Coach and play hard every play. If you don't you'll regret it when it's all over. Of the few games I've seen, Travis Austin has surprised me the most. If he would play like he did against DA and HS, and Smith, Laws, and Hanahan would play smart and knock down the outside shots, they could stir things up in the district. You can't give the other team anything easy. Just go out there, listen to Coach, play hard, have fun, and turn the season around.
  7. Yeah that was his name. I'm getting by. Still down here at Roane State. Got finished with all my classes today. Ready to head back to the Range. I hurt my arm again this fall so I'm done with baseball for good now. How are you doing?
  8. The last time HS had a real competitive team was when they had Craighead and Hammer (don't know what his real name was), and that was when i was a freshman about 6 or 7 years ago. The team they have now might be decent in a few years, but you guys are never gonna sneak up on people if you keep getting on here and trash talking them. It's locker room material. I know if I played for RBS I would wanna beat you guys that much more for all the trash talking you're doing.
  9. His averages will probably jump his senior year since that will be the year that his decision to declare for the nba will be made. Just a thought.
  10. What're the numbers on this kid so far this season?
  11. That's tough when you've played hard for 4 quarters and an OT and end up losing the game because your teammate got T'd up.
  12. You must have watched another game my friend. Coach left Nathan Smith and/or Sloan Hannahan in the 4th quarter until about 2 minutes. The rest of the starters were taking out earlier in the game. There is no Nathan Ramsey on the team by the way.
  13. Is he still coaching over there? If you ever see him tell him Michael Green said hey.
  14. He was my 7th and 8th grade coach at Clarkrange. He's a good guy.
  15. What exactly was false about my info? Clarkrange would have won by more than 15 if they would have left ALL their starters in, but Coach was showing good sportsmanship and put the young guys in.
  16. Hopefully the district is getting stronger. It was a weak district win I played. Do you Wartburg people know Dave Hodgen?
  17. Clarkrange won. I don't know the final score but they were up by twenty something when Coach subbed in the young guys. HS brought it down to 12 or so in the 4th. I left with a minute or so left, and we were up by around 14.
  18. Well I finally watched HS play tonight at Clarkrange. They've got a lot of improving to do. They looked like a pretty young team so maybe they'll have a few years to get better.
  19. I'm gonna take Clarkrange on this one, but the boys can't overlook Hermitage Springs.
  20. I think they've got some pretty good coaching down there, but I don't know if they'll ever have the players. I've not seen them play this year, but I hear they've improved alot. Did Duffer try to play anywhere?
  21. 5

    York at Jackson?

Looks like York won pretty easily.
  22. What's the final score? I had my money on York.
  23. How'd the two teams look? Who led each in scoring?
