  1. So your unbiased opinion is that Ravenwood will "most likely not win"? Also, not sure if you want the majority of your plays made by your LB's and secondary, would seem to indicate that the other team is gaining a lot of yards! I do like the fact that you discussed the game this post!!!!
  2. The debate about weak region/strong region could go on longer than the public vs private debate so it's not really worth worrying about. Region 6 has been represented in the finals the last 4 straight years(Brentwood, Franklin, Ravenwood, Ravenwood) so its tough to argue against that Regions "toughness". In response to the piece above, RHS plans to celebrate the success this years team has had. The Owls should have a community celebration too. They had a perfect regular season and made it to the semi's. That's all that Ravenwood is doing...win, lose or draw recognizing the players for their dedication, hard work, accomplishments, etc. etc.
  3. Thanks Donathan---you are a good voice of reason so thanks for "defusing" this so that the Smyrna fans do not missunderstand. So much focus is on winning period that we forget to celebrate success (i.e. your Indy squad). And thanks for your continued support of the Raptors, we greatly appreciate it!!!
  4. Volman---teams have injuries to key players(QB/RB in Ravenwoods case) that can result in losses(see UT when Ainge was injured). Ravenwood lost in OT by 1pt to State Champ, Brentwood Academy then played without those starters in their next 3 games(losses to playoff bound teams, Franklin and Brentwood High). Since having everyone back they are 9-1 including 4 straight playoff wins on the road. Hope this helps in your understanding of their season...I agree with you on the UT/Cal ranking thing.
  5. Hard to believe that any RATIONAL fan of sports would not be impressed by a team/any team going to a state title game twice in their first four years. Does not matter what you did during the regular season, etc. you don't play in the state championship unless you go undefeated in the playoffs. So, Owl fans, congrats on a great season and ask the Sarge to leave the "sour grapes" at home.
  6. We will see tomorrow obviously but the previous 3 games RHS is giving up an average of 28 points a game. Smyrna has great playmakers too so the Raptors may need their offense to win THIS championship.
  7. Obviously this did not help your first four teams get past the 1st round so maybe points allowed are overrated. Ravenwood's D is not the best in the region but the team is...
  8. I'm sure your thoughtful post(s) have stimulated him enough that he won't need his viagra tonight!
  9. So, by definition, they could hunt down and eat a Bulldog? The big question, can a Bulldog possibly hunt down and (b)eat a Raptor. Don't think so! No need for any more discussion, Raptors win on Saturday!
  10. I have been actually WATCHING both teams this year and BELIEVE that this will be a classic final game. No clear favorite with both teams having great momentum coming into the game. The keys will be special teams and handling the pressure of playing for the gold ball. Nice discussion by Brentwood and Columbia head coaches on the two teams in today's Tennessean sports page...
  11. Hey...we bought a victory last year and we have the resources to do it again.. Check or charge!
  12. Hope they make some thermal "believe" shirts cause it will be cold on Saturday. Is this Smyrna's first shot at the Gold Ball?
  13. You can't take some vacation time? I'm going to take my time getting to the work world. See you on Friday and Saturday(or are you working that night?)
  14. We have so many weapons but Grey makes it all happen so I agree with you.
