The forward from Dyersburg, David Gruser, that guy is the real deal. We played against him last year during the season, and I was able to see him play club with the Jackson Wolves. He is the best I have seen in West Tennessee. He is on another level.

I am the head coach of Covington, and I know the district/regional tournament is a problem for those in East Tennessee. West Tennessee soccer is getting better, more schools are getting programs started. I took over this program two years ago and since that time, I know just in this 40 mile radius that three high schools have just started soccer programs. Give us time, there are athletes that can run over here but fundamental soccer will take some time. Starting Club Soccer, Middle School Programs, and improving Rec. Leagues are in development. For now, enjoy playing the best that we have in USJ, Madison, McNairy, and JCS.

I am the head coach of covington high school and I have a few new players that are amazing. Sophomore Sarah Elizabeth Cousar-Forward- First year with high school soccer, has had three hat tricks in her first seven games, leads the team with 17 goals, and shows amazing potential, and is extremely coachable. Junior Demetrius Nelson-Defensive Midfielder-Second year of High School soccer, defensive captain, recieved all-district/region tournement team honors, anchors the defense that has three new starts on it, and has had three shut outs in first seven games. Every college that has seen her has taken interest in her. Her speed, handle, and power are the best on the team. Sophomore Bailey Morgan-Goal Keeper- First year in soccer- has amazing range and great anticipation for when to attack a ball handler withing the box, understands angles like she has played the positon for years.
