Riverdale starts at least 4 freshmen every game and they have 3 or 4 who come off of the bench. They only have 2 seniors on the entire varsity squad.

Someone explain a 3 way tie at the top. This could happen if Blackman and Siegel win all of their remaining district games. Score in the Blackman vs Siegel game was 7-2 for Blackman. Riverdale and Siegel game left to play on Tuesday night. Also, does anyone know how the district tourney is set up. Who plays where?

Both scored two goals. Patrick's goals were the first two scored. One was off of a nice passing drill that weaved through the Cookeville defense and ended with a pass from David Pleitez back to Patrick who scored a low left corner shot past the keeper. The second goal was a header by Patrick off of a corner kick. Both of Ucles' goals were PK's one of which was justified and the other was questionable but it was what the ref saw. As for the 'matchup in the middle' between Compton and Ucles, I will leave for others to comment as I am biased toward one of them. Patrick did tell me that he thought Ucles was very good.

You back down too easy coolbreeze. You must have some basis for your opinion. I take it from other threads that you are from Hendersonville or Brentwood. Why should they be higher?

You can go ahead and move Riverdale out of the top 25 if you want to coolbreeze. These rankings mean nothing. What matters is who shows up at game time.

There is a lot I could say about this post or others, but I will just state the facts on this game. Riverdale came to play ball as they do in every game. That says something about the players and the coaching staff. The refs made some bad calls and some good calls as every ref does in every game and these good and bad calls went both ways. Players and parents should read the thread on "ref/admin meeting before game" Riverdale scored three sweet goals and should have had at least two more on break aways but Kyle Applebee made some gutsy plays to prevent them. Justin Cronin's upper 90 set play shot was beautiful. Riverdale played together as a team, scored 3 goals by three different players and got the result that they work for 2 to 3 hours every day to get. Congrats to the Warriors.

I think it is going to be a good game. My son has played with a lot of the players on the Blackman team and I know that it will be a physical game. Unless either team has a complete breakdown, it should be a low scoring game. Probably 2-1 either way.

I heard there was an Oakland player that lost his house. I would assume from the path of the storm that there were Blackman and Siegel players affected. I do not know of any personally. I do not think that Riverdale had any affected players.

Oakland came out strong and were very aggressive to the ball. Then it was like someone flipped a switch. They started giving space and retreating instead of attacking in the last 15 minutes of the first half. Riverdale scored 4 goals in the last 10 minutes of the half. Second half was more possession for Riverdale and lots of chances that were not finished. This score could have been much worse. The last goal came with less than a minute to play. Oakland raised over $800 for the storm victims last night. A very generous deed. Riverdale will follow suit and do the same on Thursday night.

Riverdale has only lost one game 2-1 vs McCallie. Riverdale has beaten, Coffe County, Smyrna,Columbia, Lebanon, Shelbyville, Lavergne and Dickson County Riverdale has Warren County, White County, Baylor, Oakland, Blackman, Cookeville, Wilson Central and Siegel left on their schedule. I have not heard much from Blackman or Siegel.

I missread the post. Don't know anything about coffee county. I do know that s'ville is a pretty strong team. Now I can say the score does surprise me.

Riverdale beat Dickson County tonight 4-1. Dickson County has a pretty good squad. They are very aggressive.

Riverdale played both teams and while I think that Shelbyville is the overall stronger team, Columbia was better than I thought they would be. The tie does not surprise me.
