when you have high school players cussing the fans it doesn't show much class. You don't have to look to far to see where the lack of class comes from.

I agree that each side sees it different. What kills me is stirke zones and how they change from one pitch to the other. It is hard for the kids to know what a strike is and is not with alot of these guys. Also, some of the high outside strikes that I have seen. When I use to coach coach pitch we alway would stress to make the pitch below the hands. These guys have been calling strikes all over the board. I can see missing one or two but to consistenly being inconsistent is terrible.

I know that each umpire association sends umpires to the state tournament. I assume that each association's assigner picks the umps to send. But could there not be a better way than to get the assigner's buddy? Should they not earn a right to umpire in the State tournamnet? This week, I have seen some terrible umpires. If this is the best of each association then alot of the associations need to find better talent. Maybe they just stick the worst for AA.

Lintz pitched a good game but I know he had to be tired, however from various scouts there his volicity was way upper 80's. I was impressed with the Marshall Co team. They are very talented.

After today, I have seen both teams play, I would have to pick Marshall over Marion.

I don't know much about Marshall County, but I know USJ has alot of more respect for them than you appear too.

I can assure you that Coach Dyer did not have anything to do with that. When updating the site I made a messed up something. It is now fixed. If you can get info from the box scores go for it, it's in the www.jacksonsun.com as well. You probably noticed since you printed out all the box scores, that USJ is a well rounded team and don't rely on just a one or two players.

I think will Oakland out Barteltt wins the State. I was hoping to see a Bartlet/Oakland matchup at some point. Good luck Bartlett!

They really have not played anyone. Only 8 teams that will be in the boro next week and 5 more that were one game away. So I don't think they played a very tough schedule. And your right their district is not very tough, last year the State Championship game was played by 2 teams from thier district. But I think you are right, that it will be a good game come Tuesday!
