It's my understanding that our secondary is kinda new with Thornton and Goins back there...is that pretty much true, and if so how are they coming along?

not sure how they are doing this year....but I look forward to a great game next week between my alma mater Coffee Co. and Shelbyville.

I believe we have Oakland on the 31st of this month at Oakland...so I'm looking forward to that game as well as all of them!!

so to the ones that went to the scrimmage.....does it look like Coffee has a better shot this year then in the previous years of having more than just 3 wins. Other than Cookeville and Lincoln...we might have a little competition with Franklin Co. from what I've read and have heard. Should be a good year for reigon 3!!!

Since I'm not familiar with Rhea Co. are they a quality team? I didn't get to make it to the scrimmage tonight, so Tom, I'm relying on yours and Pedo's write ups from the scrimmage. How is Goins doing at WR? I had heard that last season he had a hard time with his hands, has that improved?

Are we ready to compete this year as we do every year? I know in exactly 2wks I'll be at the game against Shelbyville. Are we ready to start this season off with a win? How are the new guys, meaning the sophomores this year, doing since they were pretty successful as freshmen? Tinsley, I believe is the transfer, what position does he play? Is he a wideout? Goins, will he break 1,000 yards? Kanjanabout...tough kid, plays hard...is he ready? What about Robbie Gonzales? I know this is full of questions, but questions I believe that will be answered througout the season! Good luck to the Red Raiders this year as well as all the teams in region 3-5A!!!

Ok, question to all the Pats fans and players on here. Coffee Co. fan here and I know we have ya'll the 2nd week of the season. How are ya'll looking this year? I would of probably already had this answered, but there was no way I was going through 37 pages....lol I remember back in '99 ya'll stomped the crap out of Coffee Co. like 66-0 or somewhere on that line. Anyways, just wanted to wish ya'll luck throught this year and I'll see ya'll at the game!

I've read everything on this post. I've seen him play baseball but not football. Did see his name in the papers quiet often. I am a Coffee Co. fan and I don't care who plays where, I just like watching the game. Granted it would of been nice to have him play for us, but what can we, as fans do? Nothing. Now I will go on the record and say it was uncalled for to call him a traitor. You don't hear anyone calle Nick Harper a traitor because he's playing for the Titans now do you? *of course I dunno if that is true or not* So I say, let's drop this matter and get ready for some football!!!

awesome thanks!! looking forward to going back to Oakland...I think it was my sophomore year, 1999, and got stomped by them...I hope we play better...lol I see we've got Warren Co alot sooner this year than in the past, in reason for that? How good is Goodpasture? I've seen highlights on sports but don't really know much about them.

In my opinion I hope not just one person steps up, but the whole team and coaching staff steps it up this year. Ya know, open the playbook more like we did in some of the games last year. But I know I'm not a coach and I know our region is smash mouth run the ball at you style of football, so like I said, I hope the entire team and coaching staff steps up!

Coffee Co. fan here that travels to almost all the home and away games.....just a quick question....how closely built to VY is Mr. Shaquille??? Also from what I've read on here that ya'll seem like you will be alot more competitive this year than I can remember...good luck to the FC Rebels!!! It's been awhile since anything has been posted here, so I'll bring a little life to it. On my way to Tullahoma I caught a glimpse of Coffee County's practice...they looked pretty good from the drivers seat of my car...lol how do they stack up to the teams like cookeville, oakland...etc?

I know that school just got out, but football season isn't getting here quickly enough...lol I appreciate all the comments on my thread, never thought I'd get so popular. To Pedo and 5A Fan, let's here what ya'll,being the local sports writers and all, think of our chances are of having a better or worse season from last year.

Ok I understand the "bump" comment now..thanks for clearing that up...also the guy I talked to that said that about Price was Cortney Steere. He said he did some coachin with Coffee Co. I'm not really for sure about that though. Anyways I support Price but just some of his game schematics are questionable, runnin the ball on 3rd and long, usin the QB as a punter instead of an actual punter. I understood that Coffee Co. had a very capable punter last season. We just never got to see him.

5A, do u really enjoy bumpin peoples stuff off my thread? I mean I would really like to see what they say, and like katesfloid has said, you've killed my thread. on topic though, why do you think Price should stay for along time? I talked to a former hs player who also coached with him for a season, and he agrees with other people, Price has got to go. Anyone else agree or disagree with that?

Well it has been a while since anyone has posted anything on this thread. Got a question for 5A Fan since he's pretty close to the Coffee Co. program. Is Coffee Co. going to do anything about Price or is he still going to be here in '07? I heard someone say that they thought he was going to be gone. Not for sure though. Just want some clarity on that issue as well as the T-Town situation. One time I hear they are being moved to our reigon, then I hear they aren't. Kinda confusing. Anyways, just trying to shine some light on a couple of things that I've came across. Please continue to place your opinions and comments as Coffee Co. prepares for the '07 season.
