I don't know if there is a topic for this started already, but if so, I do apologize ahead of time. I spoke with a player last night that I used to coach in baseball. I asked him what he thought about the team this year, and he seems to think we have a chance of being good. What does everyone else think? I think if we get our passing game going this year, which will open up the run game and give Rozier up front with our OLine, then I do believe we can be good. Our defense has changed to a 4-3 from what he mentioned and said they look solid too. Do ya'll think CCHS has what it takes to finish out strong in our district this year?

Talking to a friend of mine who used to write for the Manchester Times, he and I both agree that this will more than likely be Davis' last year. If not, then we need to get a new AD. Redraidersfan, I'm in complete agreement with you. We need a coach who will not only get the athletes on the field, but will fire our boys up on every play, We need a staff who will teach our boys the fundamentals of the game and not only improve our players but also improve our stats etc.

This is hard for me to say how I think. I haven't heard much about Shelbyville. With Morton being a sr this year this could smell trouble for as more than last years game. However I have faith in the new 3-4 we're running and that our D has improved and is able to stop him. I agree though with CCHSRaiders, him and Rozier are going to light the stats up. Whether that lights the score board up is up to the two defenses and who has the most heart. Sadly I wont be at this game as I gotta work Friday night. I read the football preview yesteday in the Manchester Times. My buddy Nick Trail makes things sound pretty good. Still worried about the lack of beef on the lines. After Caleb and Austin both who were over 300lbs graduated, we lost the beef lol. What do ya'll say is the avg high school o-line or d-line?

That makes me sick too. Win or lose we should always support our team. When the guys see that the fans are leaving early, it hurts them and they give up. Why win for a community that don't support them, right? I for one don't leave until the clock shows 0:00.

It would be nice to see some great competitve games this year for sure. I got tired of seeing some of the games where it appeared the kids gave up and didn't appear that they wanted to play anymore.

This could be a really good year for us...we got the talent we just hadn't really gotten to utilize it that much in my opinion. I hope for big things this year, but I won't set myself up for a heart break either, I do that enough with college football lol

I was beginning to wonder if anyone was going to reply to this thread lol. Yes the turnover bug must be either squashed or a lot lower than last year. If we can throw the ball around the field, that'll open up the running game for Rozier to show why he's being recruited. I was told Memphis is big on him right now. I'd love to see the kid in UT Orange but that's just my opinion lol. I don't know how much of what I read over on the Tullahoma board is true, but it sounds like that lost a lot of talented players from last year. I may be off on that but either way the Coffee Pot game should be close this year. Do we make it back to the playoffs this year? Only time will tell!

I read about this last night on Thunder1320's website....Pedo...what caused this to happen? This came as a shock to me and I'm sure all of the ball players as well..some of which I coached in Little League baseball.

Ok Coach T people How do you see the Red Raiders doing this year? We added a new defensive coordinator in Rick Butler. I believe that we will be running a 3-4 scheme. We have a seasoned QB in Meeker. Rozier looks to be ready to tear up the opposing defences. Does CCHS open up the play book this year and throw the ball around? Does our defence hold their own against the powerhouse teams of our district? We will see Coffee County reclaim the coveted Coffee Pot? Your input is greatly appreciated! I could tell!!! Wish I could of been at that game...transportation issues lol. Hopefully will be at the Coffee Pot game, and hopefully our boys continue to hit this hard and uses this game against WC as momentum, although Tullahoma got them a nice win to. Should be a good game in my opinion. I got pumped up once Wix took the opening kickoff to the house! How did Chris M. look with his punting?? Any more details on the skirmish that took place?

Quick score update....25-0 at the half...Coffee Co. I'm not at the game but listening to it on the radio....sounds like WC hasn't shown up yet, and this has turned into an ugly game, with a fight that has at least two wc and one cc player ejected. Lucky Knott adds enthusiasm with the hits from the CC players, so CC is either hittin harder tonight than in the past or something. CC came out to play in the 1st half..hope they continue to play this good in the 2nd half. Go Raider!

Pedo can correct me on this, as I'm not real sure, but I think Coffee is still going to primarily wing t, with some of the other formations to throw the opponents off. I think he would do good at Coffee Co. As others have said, if he's good enough to be recognized, then it won't matter what school he goes to. We had a kid, Robbie Gonzales, was being recruited by UT I believe but chose to go to a school in Alabama. I do not know why he chose to go there, that is his decision, but maybe UT's depth chart was deep at his position. In all honesty, don't let the fans tell you where to send your son. Talk to both schools, and the football coaches, and develop your own opinion where to send him.

All it mentioned in the Manchester Times was the scrimmage with Wilson Central...so I do not know if we have any more after that or the Jamboree...Pedo would be more help lol....I just hope the team has improved this week. Read that we fumbled against Page on our 16 yrd line and Page turned around and ran it for 84 yards against us. Nunley said the tackling was terrible, and that it appeared as if the team didn't show up to play.

Congrats to LC on winning the reigon and this game as well. I know the congrats is a week late but better late than never right? Good luck to LC in the playoffs. Congrats to KJ for another 1,000 yard season. Any idea on if any of the Raiders will head to play college ball? Maybe even in a D1 school?

Congrats Oakland! CC can take alot from this game. Though it was a heart breaker I was very impressed with what I saw from CC. I missed last weeks game so this was my first chance at watching them. My question is, and it was one that I heard from alot of the fans on the way out was why did our QB run the ball with only 0.4 seconds left? CC take this experience with ya'll next week to Cookeville and pull out the W. Again congrats to Oakland and good luck for the rest of the year!

Sounds like overall we had a great game but still need improvement if I read the report right. Congrats on the win Raiders and hope we do good next week against those mighty Patriots.

Didnt get to make it to the game tonight nor was I able to listen to it. So, how did Coffee Co do? Did our D look good? What about KJ? so many questions lol. Hope the Raiders have a great season and I will most definetly try my best to make it to the rest of the games. I was at all of them last year so it felt weird to miss this one.

I heard that Chris Elam would think about the job as well. I know he was a heck of a player at CC but he also has a championship ring on his hand from college. Dunno what kinda coach he'd be, but I've known the Elam family for many years. I respect him. I also respect Coach Sisk. I watched him during the games and he does show alot of intensity and heart towards the game and the players. As everyone has said, I hope the administration makes the right choice. Coach Price, good luck at Signal Mtn, and thank you for 5 of the best years of CC football!

You know catwomen, you sure do let your claws out lol Here's how I see it. Win or lose Coffee Co. has had an outstanding season. This year's team has really made all of us in Coffee Co. proud. These kids have shown alot of heart this year and I applaud them. This game may or may not be the last for our seniors. If it is, then I wish them all the best of luck in the future. Those that continue to play football will make Coffee Co. proud again. As far as the game goes, I higly doubt WC will shut us out. They beat us by 20 in the first game and since then both teams have improved. It's pretty safe to say that Coffee Co. will come into this game and play their hearts out as well as WC. I believe this will be a great game for both teams, and may the best team win. And in my biased opinion I hope it's Coffee Co. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> I can't predict a score in this game nor do I think anyone can, not even the experts. LOL Pedo that'd be nice but I doubt the parking will get any better lol Anyways, this is the game the entire Raider nation has been waiting for. A shot at the regional title, their first ever. I hope Coffee Co. can come out and play with a clear head and just think of this game as just another game. I know the Srs will be pumped for this game. I hope to see Coffee play LC alot better then they did agains Goodpasture. I'm not sure if LC has the same kind of speed threat as Goodpasture had, but I think it'll be a good game. This will be an early prediction before I go check into LC's stats but I'll say 38-31 in favor of Coffee. And yes Pedo, I'll be wearing Red lol
