Let's get back to the game guys. The Marshall players have worked hard this week and will be ready come tomorrow night. They really think they can play with these guys. All I want is for my Tigers to go out there and play to their full potential and the rest will pan itself out. Im still not fully sold on the coaching schemes they throw out at times but if your MC I'm down with it. I talked with a senior on this team today and he said this is the biggest game he has ever played in. There has been trash talk by us all, but ultimately the players will decide the outcome. He talked alot about how good #15 for Giles is. I told him that the most physical team will when this game, so bring the wood. Giles Co. hasnt been hit this year and I hope like crap the Tigers will be the first to do so. I have to come all the way back to Smyrna and work after the game so MC better make my drive back good. The coach turned himself in because he knew that Marshall Co. was going to report it. I know that he did pursue three players and two of them I know really well. I could care less if it was reported, because none of it fell through. I am getting tired of the disrespect to these young men. If any of you think that Giles is going to go out there and win by as many as they want your crazy. Yes Columbia did but the adjustments in pass defense have been made. I am not taking anything away from your awesome bobcats, but when you fill their heads up that they are going to run the score up on a team that is equally as talented they are setting themselves up for a let down. I personally think this is the worst situation Marshall could be in. A 56-21 loss last week and now playing a very good Giles team. Another blowout could be crucial especially with a new coach that hasn't got his system in place. I think Marshall should put it all on the line in this one, but a well coached team will be waiting on the trick plays and all of that. I want to go up and meet with the team, but I don't want to step on any toes. I will be at the game Friday supporting my Tigers until the end. I think if they play to full potential and hang around, it could get interesting. Go Tigers!!!

Well here we go. Giles County should be heavily favored in this game. The Tigers need to work on a few things to be able to compete with the bobcats. Gave up 240+ passing yards tonight to columbia. That's on 7 passes. I have alot of Tiger Pride and will always pull for my team whether we are winning or not so good. 56-21 should leave a bitter taste after tonight's game. I hope someone will step up and take control of this team. I ride my nephew #9 pretty hard on leadership and effort and I'm hoping he will. I see that Giles handled their business tonight with Hickman. Hoping for a better performance from the Tigers next week. Go Blue!!!

The bobcats should win this just off the talent they have. Giles will be a tougher match than Marshall just because of coaching. The Tigers wanted to do the usual and run the same plays until they were down by 25 lol. Aired it out and lost by 5. C'mon man. Congrats to Hickman County on the win. I am a die hard Tiger fan and I am very disappointed in their play. I wouldn't blame it on the players, but the coaching. Once again this is Lewisburg and not Murfreesboro/Nashville where you have a stable of athletes to choose from. We are playing guys one side of the ball. I know for a fact that Peterson and Walker were begging to play defense but were ignored. 80yd passing play and 60+ yd runs later your down and gotta scratch to get back in it. If my memory serves me correct the Giles Co. QB played both sides of the ball last year and probably does this year. We need that. I'm just ill with these decisions and I do not want to take anything away from Hickman Co. At the moment I am dreading traveling to Columbia and Pulaski. C'mon Tiger coaches put ur best players on the field.

See you on the 14th. I was looking on YouTube earlier and seen highlights of the Kenton Baker kid. He is good not taking anthing away from Cobb. He is good too. I seriously think this will be a good game. I will even meet any of you after the game, win or loss and talk football. That's just what kind of guy I am. Not arrogant and not a sore loser. @likearock I haven't heard any crybabying coming out of Lewisburg this year. Please fill me in. @sawdust doesn't look like your to do list will get filled this year. 50 really??? Giles County is good but you guys are acting like they can't be beat. Post that mess in your Giles County thread. Seems like a lot of you can't even post on here without mentioning Marshall County. Why are you worried about the poor little Tigers??? Is it because you know if anyone can beat GC it's MC? I seem to think so. Looked pretty good against Shebyville Friday night. I don't like that they don't have their best players playing both sides of ball. This isn't 5a where you have all that talent for. Defense looked good at times, but was hurting defending the pass (make stars play both sides). The offense was just a few running plays and one pass. I think the Tigers will be a decent team this year, with the talent they have. They looked good in the jamboree and they are still missing upcoming sophomore Chris Walker who is out with broken arm from AAU ball. I'm really excited about the season, and I wish all the players in the district a injury free season. Good Luck. Go Tigers!!!!!!

This guy really dislikes Marshall alot huh. Lol. Prob because your still eating crow from last year. Giles,Fairview, and Marshall will be your top teams. The Tigers have looked well this spring. We did lose a very good RB, but we have Kevin Peterson returning that can do the same damage. Also the deep threat will be there with Austin Stacy going long to Chris Walker. I'm excited because Marshall finally looks to have a complete team again, we were one dimensional last year. Go Tigers!!!!

@likearock I agree with all of your key points to win for MC or GC. I think we are similar teams, but Marshall has a little more heck raiser in them. I am so tired of hearing about the refs,scoreboard, and lights. If Giles see's it as a problem contact the tssaa and have them monitor it, otherwise strap up and play ball!!!!! Go Tigers. I hope all the district teams do well. Fairview vs Lewis should be a good one. I hope Giles and Page both pull it out. As for my Tigers.......play MC ball and finally throw a wrinkle in that offense, I promise it will not work past this week. #3 is really good but your best players are really studied harder this time of year. gotta find an unsung hero out of this bunch. Speaking of this game makes me sick to the stomach. Page was prepared for the 3 plays Marshall would run. 38 carries is a workload for one player, and obvious for a defense trying to stop it. You could hear the Page coaching staff from our stands. They were yelling and high diving all night. They really wanted this one. Out coached??? Uh yea. Better team wouldn't go that far, but they Won and that's all that matters. Marshall better wake up. Cmon boys!!! Go Tigers!

Their punter is really fast. Better play it safe on 4th down, they used a fake punt on their own 20yd line and scored off it. I will take GC in this one. It will be close in the first half though. 27-14 kittens

I agree that Spring Hill and Giles will be the front runners. Marshall needs someone step up this year. They will have to run the entire game to stay on the floor with these two teams. anyways Go Tigers!!

It's crazy when a team loses they blame the refs of cheating. Giles had alot of flags against Marshall because of lack of knowing the game. 3 false starts on one drive. Lewis had flags because their Oline had ZERO chance of blocking so they tackled the defender or jumped before the play started ( we call that shaky where I'm from ). Lewis had a couple of players that were ok. #21 and #17. Lewis County scored on a fake punt and a reverse pass. They never had a drive all night. Face it you got beat. I made no negative post after Fairview beat us. Were there questionable calls against fv?? Sure but it did not determine the game. If you can't accept your team losing, don't watch them against a better team. Move on!! Good luck with Giles. You may want to watch that game, you might mess around and win. Sorry I had to go so hard on you but worst officiating in 25 years......get outta here. Name a time in the game where you had a chance. ( refer back to me speaking of your td's).
