Most teams probably decided to not play because of district staring this week. I know there were 2 games at Smyrna but I don't know about anywhere else

What is Riverdales strengths this year? How is there pitching and who do you think will pitch against Smyrna tonight?

I would for sure not underestimate Smyrna this year. If you remember they had a lot of younger guys that stepped up and started and returning those guys now with experience of winning the gold ball they won't go down easy. Wyant has a new weight plan going on and he is working them like dogs. They will be very good next year and also very strong one thing they really haven't been in the past. If they play like they can there will be a whole lot of signs next year that say "Good Luck Smyrna in The Championship Game". I'm calling it now 3 PEAT

Yes I played with Dustin Weaver this past summer and he says that Craig is the real deal. I would love to see him pitch

I would have to say Sonny Gray. He is OUTSTANDING range and just a complete CANNON at SS

How is Dustin Weaver from DCA looking. I play in the summer with him and I haven't seen him since. I know he was throwing gas then so it possibly could have been him that was serving up all the K's?

Austin Townes from Smyrna is very good. He is a Great defensive player and also can Mash the ball. He is hitting 4 hole right behind Sonny for the Dawgs.

The pitchers were calling there own pitches in that game. Sonny is very smart and knows how to pitch to batters. He has great control also so he was just showing that even if he does get down 3-0 (which usually doesn't happened) he can still come back with ANY pitch.

Once again performance doesn't lie. Sonny Gray pitched three innings against Oakland today giving up 0 runs 1 hit and his fastball was consistently 92-95mph. He was down in a count once 3-0 and on the next pitch threw a curve for strike one. He came back and struck that guy out. He has great command and can throw any pitch on any count

Actually played with Julian this summer and he is going to be good. Not sure if he is throwing 90 yet but he is a big big guy and who knows what happeneds over a off-season

No #24 Jonathon Rhoads was senior last year and is now playin at Columbia State. Wish we still had em' but that's how it goes. Some other players are just going to have to step it up and fill those shoes of the seniors from last year that went 33-8.

I just think by now I would have heard about him. What i'm hearing is that there sophomore is there number 1 but I could be wrong????

This should answer everyones question than. This is not only saying he is the best in the state but also one of the best in America thats a great honor

IF i'm right I think I watched this guy pitch this summer. He wasn't throwing quite that hard but its possible now. We all know it can happened, look at Taylor Hill. Two years ago he was throwing maybe mid 80's then the summer cam around and he was hitting 90+ and now is at Vandy. So I guess we just have to wait and see.

Are you sure he thorws low to mid 90's. Have you witnessed this or heard? Hard for me to believe

They do have a young pitcher now that is very good. Will he be there Ace?

Sonny Gray definitely the best in TN if not the best high school pitcher in America. Topped out at 97 his junior year and can back it up with the stick to. He hit .490 last year with ten home runs in probably the toughest district in TN 9aaa Clayton Gant should also be in the talk and also Will Clinard
