  1. IMO, the 40 yard dash is extremely overrated. It gives a good overall look at a persons speed. Some people run really good without pads, but when they get on a football field there not all that fast, and some people just have football speed. What does everyone else think?
  2. I never said we could or would take Red Bank behind the woodshed. Have fun getting ripped about that. Thanks for agreeing drp and having faith in Rhea County.
  3. I have stepped into both of those stadiums as a player. You keep changing your story and confusing me. There's no reason for us to argue if we both cheer for the green and gold. I have my opinion and you have yours. Just saying one thing and then saying another is what got me started on this, but oh well. GO EAGLES!!!
  4. First, you said if Red Bank is healthy, it would be a no doubter. Now you say if Rhea ain't focused it would be a no doubter. I would agree with you more on the focus part, but your Maryville analogy is a bit exagerrated. I'm a TRUE Rhea County fan myself and I also know football. I got faith in my Eagles no matter who they strap it up against or what the circumstances. If you were a real, TRUE Rhea County fan I think you would believe the same thing also.
  5. I don't know what your definition of beat up is, but for being a Rhea County fan I guess you don't have much faith in the Eagles. Red Bank is a good team, but they ain't world beaters. Red Bank beating Rhea NO DOUBT if they're not "beat up" , don't get that at all. Those two words in capital letters are strong words and you misused them badly.

    Hunter Green

Hunter Green won state again to make it back to back years. The kid is a junior now, so he has a chance for 3 peat. He's from Rhea County. He won on a playoff hole. Don't know much more details. Congratulations Hunter.
  7. I was waiting for that one to be said.
  8. You must really like Dierks Bentley or have a really hot date. Thats great. I love the tata line.
  9. Liked it, but why were they blue? Can they not impersonate the Permian Panthers all the way? Thats some of the best football acting I've seen on tv or movie though.
  10. #12 has dropped a few passes just like all the other receivers. They're humans they're gonna drop a few, but Rhea needs to keep doing what they're doing they will be fine catching the football. I don't see as many dropped passes for the 2nd half of the season and you can hold me to it. The receivers are tired of taking heat about the dropped balls. Look for more focus out of the receiving core catching the football from now on.
  11. Rhea County did have a sloppy win versus Walker Valley last week, but they don't need to throw it to anyone in particular. The way the offense is set up, they will get it to their playmakers (Sharp, McKinnon, Moffett). Everyone keeps doubting the D, but I got faith in my boys from Evensville. They will get it done.
  12. Last year Rhea County won 61 to 2. Walker Valley is searching for an offensive idenity. What are some predictions?
  13. Brainerd has improved a lot since last year. Their passing game is pretty good, but so is Red Bank's defense. If Brainerd doesn't turn the ball over they could surprise Red Bank.
  14. Maryville is a great football team. They have great coaching. They are the best until someone beats them. But to act like no one from Chatt would have a chance around here, give me a break. I have all the respect in the world for Maryville. But if you don't think you can beat someone, your already beat. I think if players and coaches would go out with more confidence in their own abilites, they could pull off an upset. I'm saying this because everyone that gets on here, of what I've seen, just says Maryville is great we don't have a chance. But there a bunch of teenagers just like the other team there playing. I'm not bashing Maryville at all, but to put them on such a higher level than everyone else, I don't agree with it.
  15. Very good freshman team. Speed and size. Two very heplful things in football. A very bright future down in Ooltewah.
  16. Just wondering Mr. dawg, what games have you seen?
  17. This will be a good matchup with speed vs. speed. I think Alcoa will win with them already having 2 non-region losses, and that will motivate them to play hard and come out on top this one.
  18. Cookeville is good, but does not have a lot of team speed. Cleveland will take advantage of this, but Cookeville won't lay down they got heart and will play them close to the end. I got Cleveland winning by two scores.
  19. I see a good hard fought game. Rhea will want to prove something after turning the ball over so many times against Brainerd, and McMinn has lost close games to good teams. What does everyone else think?
  20. Brian Marshall. Out of all the backs I've seen in the Chatt area he is without a doubt the fastest. He may be undersized, but with that speed comes a lot of toughness.
  21. This was a great game. Brainerd is extremely talented. If they had coaching and focus it would be scary. There were 10 turnovers in all in this game. 7 of those were interceptions. Brainerd has so many athletes and size. Brainerd's passing game has vastly improved, since last year. Rhea County was hitting hard all night long. Number 15 and number 17 were bringing it. This was a very exciting game to watch. Good luck to Brainerd. Final score 17 to 14.
  22. Very well said and the truth. If any team ever looks to the next week, their heads will be hanging after the game, win or lose. The secondary is losing everybody ,but with the normal starter Jimmy Keltch hurt since the beginning of the season, they have got valuable playing time for two young players, but Keltch looks to be back in the next few weeks.
  23. The Owl's freshman beat the Eagles big in what was both their first game I think. I remember Ooltewah having a fast running back. What are yall doing down in Ooltewah to keep sprouting out fast, hard-nosed runners? Ooltewah has a bright future.
