  1. How good are the girl's from Polk County? Have they played a jamboree game yet? Who are there best players?
  2. Does anyone have information on the Wayne County Team Camp or the Shelbyville Team Camp??
  3. What high schools have the best team camps in Tennessee? Thanks
  4. I heard a rumor that Brandon Andrews is not playing tonight for the Crusaders. Something about a hurt shoulder. Not sure if that is true just what I heard.
  5. I would say that this year's CSAS team is similar to last year's temple team, but they have to prove they can win THE big game to be considered with last years Temple team. I am not saying CSAS won't win the Gold Ball, they just haven't done it yet and in order to be considered in the same category with a State Championship team you have to win the Gold Ball. CSAS is the favorite and if they play well they should win the whole thing, but I know that a lot of things have to go right to win the whole thing. CSAS has a great team and I see them getting to the Boro' and playing Humboldt or Union City and the winner of that game will win it all. I also see Temple beating Grace and getting to the sub-state game, I am just afraid they will have to travel to Pickett County to play a very good team in a very tough environment. This is just my opinion, it will be very fun to see how this all shakes out.
  6. What people on here need to realize is that Temple is not the team they were last year, not as good in my opinion. Temple beat CSAS last year 3 out of the 4 times by more than 25 points. That is definitely not going to happen this year. If Temple does win it will not be by much. CSAS is a very good team and they will do a good job but for the people from Temple to say this years team is better than last year's team is a little bit of a stretch. Last years team was really good and they played extremely well together. In my opinion, right now, CSAS has the better team, but it is early and Temple is very young and will be better as the year goes on and next year. I will be pulling for the Crusaders on Friday night. This is my opinion, as a realist.
  7. Has anyone seen Cleveland play this year? Are they as good as they were last year??? What are there strengths and weaknesses???
  8. Thanks Indian!!!! Do you have any idea if they are a big team??? Does there coach like to play man or zone??? Thanks
  9. Hey Indian, you sound pretty knowledgeable of that area. What can you tell me about Marion County's girl's team. I'll take any and as much information as I can get. Thanks and good luck to Sequatchie!!!!
  10. Instead of everyone worrying about how many games Temple will win, they should worry about how many points they are going to score. I only see them having the chance of scoring in about 3 games all year. They will average less than 7 points per game. I know who they have and I know who they think they are going to have and it is going to be ugly, UGLY!!!! They will be the biggest laughing stock in the city of Chattanooga. Coach Chastain is a dreamer, not a realist, this will be tragic, because he is going to put kids on the field that are going to get hurt, physically hurt!!!
  11. I hope that he made Temple write him a contract, guaranteeing him the amount of money they settled on. I know how Temple treats their employees and its not very good, I will go ahead and say I will be very surprised if he receives the salary they have told him they are going to pay him
  12. This hire is seems very typical of how things are being done at Temple now. From what I understand Greg Brown was not even contacted about the job. I am sure Caleb Marcum is a good guy but he hasn't been a head coach, and he hasn't won anywhere he has been. I hope that things go okay, I just don't know if this was the best decision to make.
  13. Congratulations Coach Skogen and Coach Brown on a great season. There was a lot of pressure on these two guys to win it all this year and they did a very nice job guiding the Crusaders to the Championship. The team next year will have some talent coming back, but I agree it will come down to coaching. Coach Brown would be the most qualified and the best fit for the job but I heard this was it for him also and that he is going to coach in Georgia next year. Im sure Temple will find someone, I just hope the continuity and rhythm can stay within the program.
  14. Just wanted you guys from CSAS to know that the guys from Temple are pulling for you all! Good luck tomorrow morning!
  15. I certainly didn't say he was my enemy, I just don't think he knew how to do his job, I was expecting this week for him to demand that Coach Skogen be fired as the basketball coach! I mean he did it during football when we were 7-0 and getting ready to play South Pittsburg, why wouldn't he do it the week of the State Tournament in basketball. He wasn't good for Tennessee Temple and that's the bottom line and I knew he wasn't from the beginning!
  16. A wise man once told me, "If you give someone enough rope they will hang themself". All I can say is it's about time!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I agree with what you are saying, I just meant that this team is no longer under the control of Dan Wadley, it is now under the control of Kevin Skogen that's all I meant.
  18. This is Coach Skogen's team now and he will do a great job this week in Murfreesboro. I have heard that the coaches are very prepared for this week's tournament. There is plenty of experience on the bench between the players and the coaches to go out and take care of business this week. Good luck to the Crusaders, i'll be there pulling for you!
  19. Please excuse the "pasture", but his reputation precedes him, this is his time to shine, he did this during football! When everything around the Temple basketball program is positive and going well he has to find something negative to say and it usually involves a "Skogen". This guy hides behind a screen name using very derogatory remarks! Anyone can do that, but a real man would come out and share his feelings with everyone face to face! But pasture will stay behind the scenes and continue to be negative about what Temple does even though they are having a great year and the team chemistry is as good as it has ever been. So please everyone just let Pasture say whatever it is he says, and just know that he doesn't speak for the "real" Temple people.
  20. Jeremy Sexton is the 3rd option on his team and he still averages double figures. It will be completely different next year, when he becomes "the man" on his team. Jeremy is very unselfish and knows his role on the team.
  21. And how ironic would that be if Friendship would have to travel to play Tennessee Temple in Chattanooga? You know the boys from Temple would have the revenge factor on their minds. Who knows, anything can happen!
  22. So i am gonna assume that this is some kind of mental ploy that you are trying to pull. I don't think that anyone from Temple is looking past this game at all, so the whole mental thing of "we don't have a chance" isn't going to work. You almost sound like Lou Holtz before every football game he used to coach, he would talk about how his team didn't stand a chance.
  23. I expect CSAS to come out with a lot of confidence after their good win over Grace on Tuesday night. I thought CSAS played well and I really did expect them to beat Grace. As far as tomorrow night goes, I expect this game to be closer than the previous two games, but Im just not sure if CSAS can play for four quarters against the Crusaders. I think Temple has to many weapons for CSAS to contain and I think Temple wins this game by around 15-20. Congratulations to both teams for qualifying for the Sub-State!
  24. I know it to be a fact that all that Grace and their people have talked about since the District Championship was how they were gonna beat Temple the next time they played them in the Region, and how they have Temple figured out. So you can draw your on conclusions from that.
