It's a form of taunting that the officials don't like especially when the closest defender was roughly 5 yards away. Plus you have to know that any form of talking back to an official gets you tossed. By the way, anyone know for how many games he can't play? I know that TSSAA rules states 1 game but the Carter principal put in a rule last year stating if you get tossed, you get another one on top of that. I've seen them enforce it during baseball season but don't know if this applies to their football program.

For Grainger, it's one less player to have to focus on. This will allow them to focus more on stopping the run. I'm not saying they will, but every little bit helps.

FYI for all the Grainger fans..... Carter will not have their starting QB for your game. He got tossed in the Gibbs game.

I have no problem with paying for parking as long as the money goes to one of the schools organizations or booster clubs. I also encourage my friends to buy concessions from one of these organizations because it's for the kids and their many needs.

Watch out for McBee's spin move. It probably got him at least 40 extra yards on offense last week.

Gibbs just needs to find some offense somewhere. They are young at the skill positions and learning a new offensive scheme this year. Their defense and special teams are more than adequate to compete.

South Doyle won 10-7. Was not impressed with South Doyle's big line. Gibbs played them fairly even.

Remember that every dog has it's good and bad days. Gibbs went to Scott last year and got pounded. Catholic beat Scott rather easily and in the playoffs Gibbs almost pulled the shocker against Catholic. Region 1 will be more competitve this year.

I hope someone videotaped it for others in the community to see.

I would take Gibson to win in a foot race any day. The kid can outright run. Two summers ago, a local baseball team picked him up just to run bases for their pitchers and he didn't get thrown out much stealing.

This was their third scrimmage date. They scrimmaged @ Gibbs last Tuesday.

I thought that the Friday session was at Bearden this year since Farragut is replacing their bleachers currently and won't be ready until their first home game.

It's going to be very interesting this year considering there are new coaches at Grainger County, Union County and Gibbs.

It's a new school between Farragut and Karns in Knox County. Opening Fall 2008.

Gibbs 13 Karns 4 Karns had two players hurt last night (outfield collision). Left fielder (Hammontree?) looked like he had a broken arm and the centerfielder either had a concussion or whiplash but was very dazed.

I've seen both this year and I'm more impressed with AC so far. Karns can play with them if they bring their "A" game and don't make any mistakes.

Gibbs is also a no rap ballpark. We only play music before the game, in between innings and after the game (no player intro music). The players can request songs to be played if they provide me a copy of it and I listen to it beforehand (I will not play it until then). As long as it meets reasonable family/school parameters of language and decency plus is entertaining, it can be played. My thoughts about this are, if you can see that the crowd is relaxed and the players are singing or moving to it, you have to be doing something right.
