  1. The rest of Giles County's o-line is good too... Bass, Norwood, & Dienye. From the D-line I would add the other Dienye & Patrick "Crazy Train" Timms.
  2. Giles receivers also include: Tyler Watson, Cody Davis, Josh Smith, Nick Bockoven, and Zach Bailey. They all are improving under Coach Osteen.
  3. I pick the Cubs to out physical the Raiders in a close one.
  4. "The Brickyard" will be rocking and if it turns out like we plan it might feel like a "pit of H---" to you.
  5. I'm sorry to hear about his injury. He was a great noseguard last year and appeared to be an outstanding running back this year.
  6. I think it is surprising to a lot of people around here that he was able to go in a play as a freshmen. Everyone knew he was a physical BEAST but he didn't always play that way in high school.
  7. Sorry to hear about Daniel's injury. He was a great noseguard last year and appeared to be an even better running back.
  8. Cheathham will have to play inspired ball to win this one.
  9. I don't know much about Central, but Giles County is putting out an awesome team this year. Bo continues to make plays and Corey and "Tobus" keep defenses honest with awesome running. I don't know how many people in the state can hang with the offense that Giles County brings to the table especially that big Offensive line that keeps blowing people off the line time and time again. The D is still pretty devastating thus far averaging about 2 scores a game while the offense is putting up at least 4 a game, those numbers don't lie. I'll be keeping tabs on this one for sure. Go Bobcats
  10. And look for a close first half, but the Bobcats will wear the Raiders out in the 2nd Half! The strength of Timms, Boykins, Motts, Norwood, Dienye, Bass, and Strickland is going to be too much for them to handle for four quarters!
  11. The Brickyard's Home Opener is tomorrow night! Let's pack the place and make it loud! It's football time in Pulaski!
  12. Coach Shirey was one of Mr. Wallace's coaches at Richland. He said he played QB and MLB and was great at both of them... big time player in a small body. Bo is that type of player in a bigger body. Yes, Mr. Wallace comes to practice very often and yes he talks to the coaches, but he is never angry and never telling them how they should be coaching or how they should be using Bo. I would say he is a supportative parent that is also a big football fan.
  13. Better not be holding your breath on a win over Lipscomb or Giles... Lipscomb owns the region and lately we own Marshall County. I'm just saying, don't have such high expectations... that way you won't be disappointed!
  14. I'm going with the Cubs. What's a War Hawk anyway?
  15. I'm going with the Cubs. What's a War Hawk anyway?
  16. I think Creekwood wins this game, but with some problems!
  17. I think the Patriots from Page get back in the win column this week.
  18. I fully agree, it's nobody's business but Mayo's and this is a sports website, not a gossip column. Moving on, I wish I could make it to this one, but I've traded in my black and gold of Giles County football jersey for the orange and white of a University of Tennessee Rugby jersey and am actually starting in our intersquad scrimmage tomorrow night, who'da thunk it? I hate to miss seeing my boys play. Bo, Tobias, and Cory have a very talented and very well coached offensive line in front of them, so the running game will stay effective year round, no doubt about it. As for the recieving corps, the absence of Rico will obviously be missed because of his amazing playmaking abilities and all around athletisism, but Bo has a good group of targets to throw to including Watson, Newton and others. The GC defense is in good shape, enough said. I was pleasantly surprised to hear how succesful Joey Denye has been at defensive end and hope that all the guys keep improving, you have to get better every practice and every week. As I've said before, I have supreme confidence in GC's coaching staff. These guys know what they're doing and they and their players work as hard as anyone in the state. OC and Beddingfield are great coaches and always have their players in positions to win, in the highschool game it's all about coaching and good technique. OC has said that all he needs is a few good men, and by God he has them at his disposal. I fully belive that GC can line up with anybody in the State and hold their own. Good luck fellas, I'll be keeping up with you all season. I hope you guys keep Big Joe on his workout program because he was looking absolutely dapper when I saw him last at the GC Tullahoma scrimmage. Always remember Bobcats: "That football is a game of inches and it's the man in any fight, whether it be football or life, that scratches, fights, and who is willing to die that's going to win that inch. You have to look at the guy next to you and not have a doubt in your mind that he's willing to win that inch with you, because you can either play and win as a team or you lose as individuals."- Al Pacino in Any Given Sunday
  19. May-May is a pretty good guy. He is always smiling and laughing and having a good time. However, he has also has to learn that their are consequences for his choices. If I heard correctly he is also a Dad as of today. Hopefully he will make the right choices for that baby as well.
  20. Normally this game is close. Lawrenceburg has got potential, but when we got rolling they just quit. It is always good to beat them... next we go for a record tying four in a row!
  21. Da Catfish, Here is an update for you. As you already know, we have lost players that were projected starters coming in to this year. D. Turner got kicked off the team for not coming to practice. William Reynolds broke his femur in the Jamboree. Rico had his MRI read yesterday and they confirmed that he has a torn ACL and will have surgery. The coaches also told the team Sunday that Dimayo Birdsong will no longer be on the team following his arrest on Saturday. He is in serious trouble after being caught with Lortab? (prescription pain killer). So the Bobcats will be coming to Ashland City with several reserve players starting... not much different than how ya'll came to play us last year. Your QB (Potts) had his appendix taken out the day before if I remember correctly. I know he will be anxious to play us. Hopefully we can keep it close. We have a lot of heart and will play hard for four quarters I can promise you that!
  22. Dimayo is probably the best lineman on the team, although Timms and Motts are solid. He is seeing a lot of time on the o-line in addition to his role on the d-line.
  23. I like it... the Giles County Bobcats getting some respect!
