  1. Beware the desk bell, Fring! Ding, ding, ding.....BOOM!!!
  2. REMATCH!!! Current weather forecast...partly cloudy, low 30's, no rain in sight.
  3. I'm definitely hoping we get to make the long road trip this year. Like you said, gotta TCB first!
  4. It will be a shame if Kevin doesn't get a place at the Mr. Football table in a few weeks. CLUTCH performance tonight from him and the rest of the team when the game was...quote fingers in the air... over.
  5. Reminds me of how a Cascade @ JB game played out at The Dungeon a few years back. Both teams tonight didn't give up after momentum swings, they capitalized on opportunities, and literally played alls out until the end. CA goes up early, JB takes over from the middle part of the game on into the 4th qtr with methodical drives, Academy puts together a drive for a TD and recovers an onsides kick and get the go ahead score to make it 28-27. Then as mentioned, Adkins hits on two long passes to Andevazo (spelling?) to set up the FG with .9 to go. Tonight has a bit of history to it. As far as I know it's the first game winning FG for JB in a playoff game (correct me if I'm wrong) and the first game winner in about 25 years period. It was pretty awesome to witness as JB is definitely not known for kicking excellence and a young man brushed off missing two PAT's and nailed a game winner.
  6. Eagleman and Wildcat, I agree with you both. Leave the worms in the can.
  7. I'm going to assume that the transfer lives in Clarksville, probably didn't move from one house to another, and no zoning rules come into play for private schools. So in theory, Jalen Hurd could've transferred to Clarksville Academy and had the same rules apply. No way this would play out the same way for any public school. Playing Clarksville Academy and Nashville Christian has never bothered me too much. That's just how it's always been. I felt differently when JB was in the same region as all of the ABC schools. Either way, I'm not a fan of how this rule is set up and wanted to voice that prior to the game being played...tomorrows outcome not withstanding.
  8. Why hasn't the transfer played this season?
  9. Yep, partly because some JB defenders have spent the better part of the season trying to reinvent the wheel by not tackling at the hips or lower. Cascades #4 showed them once again why that method is futile. I have to bash on Cascade as well. Those around me couldn't figure out why Murphy Fair's man crush, Coach Kenny Parker, went away from the run in the third qtr. That could've spelled disaster for the Champs if JB would've made a couple stops. I hope for the Shetland Pony faithful that that play calling doesn't bite y'all in the hind quarters!
  10. No kiddin'! I figured ol' horse head would've beat me to starting this one.
  11. Bragging rights for this long distance rivalry and playoff tie breakers are on the line when the shetland ponies trot on up to The Dungeon. Here's this years Cascade team photo...
  12. Week 9, my pics in bold... Cascade @ JB ER @ Cornersville HC @ Bruceton East Nashville @ NC McEwen @ Perry Co CA has the bye
  13. East is just a couple of scores away from being 5-2. They played a good Harpeth team very close. I think East could be a team that could play JB close and capitalize on their mistakes (INT's, busted coverage, and linebackers that stand around on some plays and don't fly to the ball ) where H2O couldn't...I suppose a decade plus of Red Devil dominance would be a great motivator this week. JB will need to be disciplined this week and especially during the game. A few teams have been chippy against JB lately and this game has a history of plays that continue beyond the whistle, so to speak. They don't need to fall in that trap of retaliation. JB looked very good thru much of last weeks game. I hope they can build on that, keep making improvements, win, and lock up at least second place in D10.
  14. JB was in H2O's backfield all night disrupting #1. The tigers kept it close as far as the score goes and it was close for a qtr and a half Two or three of their scores came either from busted coverage by JB or an int. I was impressed with #55 in purple on defense. He never let up all game long.
  15. Week 7, my pics in bold... JB @ H2O McEwen @ Cornersville Cheatham @ CA Ballard Memorial (KY) @ HC ER and NC have the bye. JB and HC should get wins. Mactown and CA I just flipped a quarter.
  16. The CoachT schedule says this is a 7 PM start at H2O. JB should be favored, but not much has come easy for JB this season. I hope to see JB get better at the fundamentals from here on out. Better at staying on your blocks and better tackling, gang tackling, swarming to the ball, and someone besides Kevin Atkins leading the team in tackles. Did I mention I'd like to see better tackling?!?!? For the record, idk if kevin leads in tackling or not, but it sure seems like it. What's up with H2O?
  17. For a user name like blahblah, you sure haven't said much in your posts!
  18. Week 6, my pics in bold... NCS @ East Rob McEwen @ HC CA @ JB
  19. Did the qb from last year graduate?
  20. Butchie, I told you that we kept goats at the AGR frat house strictly for agricultural research!
  21. What offense do they run now? JB had trouble with their read option last year. Nancy, that screen name is almost as good as Art's. I say that because people have come up to my wife saying she looks like "that chick on Weed's!" Art, I wish the guy from mghelmets.com had the time to work up a helmet this week with that new logo! I really did lol!
  22. It's gut check time for JB. '04 was the last time JB has lost two games in a row and this game all about a chance for a home field game in the playoffs. I didn't get to go to WHH last night, but from the updates I got and from what I've seen in person this JB team doesn't quit. What's the story with CA?
  23. Awesome win TC!!! How did y'all get Michael Griffin to come out?
