According to eurosports, Maryville has 0 goals in games against Bearden, Oak Ridge, Farragut, DB and ND. With CAK undefeated and rolling, it would appear that Maryville is in trouble.

Didn't see it--just a guess but I would say DB figured out a way to stop Trenna H and somehow scored 1--maybe pk on OR. OR's attack is 90% Trenna. From seeing both teams in action I would have guessed that OR is 2 goals better. Who knows though--action is on the pitch not coacht.

I was looking forward to seeing Anna F play. Everything I have heard about her has been great. Surprising that she would miss HS tournament but I guess that when you play at her level, CCS tournament is no big deal.

How is Centennial doing this year? Is Anna Fisher back to full speed after her injury?

My daughter's team was in KT. Lots of moving parts and for the most part, I commend the organizers. From what I gathered the ORHS Soccer Booster Club (read parents of players) are the backbone of the tournament. With parent turnover each year and the # of teams, officials, venues involved the gliches were few. I would pale to think that our parents could or would want to try to pull off a tournament like KT. My only suggestion is to stick with the schedule template--don't move teams around based on coach's whim. DB playing Cumberland Gap was a compete joke--unfair to both teams. And why did one of the teams' withdraw??? Unless there is a real good reason (ie, emergency), that team should look for another tournament next SEP. If you sign up to play KT, play the schedule regardless of your draw.

Oak Ridge and Farragut are not in the same district. How can anyone really slam the refs when 3 refs in World Cup games miss calls??? They aren't perfect but if not openly biased against one team and I have seldom seen this, they will miss calls on both sides. Also, why in soccer esp tournaments that stick to firm 40 minute halves are players who receive lower leg injuries allowed to remain on the field for 5-10 minutes? In one match at KT this weekend, this occurred and the match ended up being called at 33 minutes because of darkness. I can understand a neck/head injury and not moving a player but with ankles/knees it seems that the the player should be assisted to the side and not allowed to delay the match.

Akula--The MHS girls were really pumped up...maybe it was that shredded Rebel flag that one of the Alcoa fans had <g>. Alcoa played hard/will improve and will be a factor in their district/region. #3 stopper was flat out tough. Hope all of your girls who cramped/got dinged up are OK--good luck the rest of the way.
