I find it interesting that you call Fairley's record average. Wasnt Maplewood's final record 9-2? Fairley's final record was 10-3. So YOUR admitting Maplewood is just average, right. I agree with you 100%. Melrose didn't have any kind of running game. When Cooper left, he left a huge hole in their offense that hasn't been filled. It came down to HC's running vs. Melrose's passing. This was an awesome game, I am just glad I was there to be a part of it, and it doesn't hurt matters that we one either. Toney is going to be a phenomenal QB by his senior year, maybe sooner. The entire Patriots team did an awesome job!!! You know what this means..... IT"S YANKER TIME BACK IN HENRY COUNTY!!!! After watching your Cougars fall the last two years to Melrose, I wish you could have been there last night Yanker. See ya next week.

These are very good points Prophet. BUT, I remember looking last year around this time and Melrose had only played 1 or 2 teams with a winning record and they lost a game to that 1-2 teams. They haven't played the stiffest competition but the truth is that Melrose AT the Mound is a different breed of animal. The numbers are in our favor but the odds are not. Ummm...I would be willing to bet that Henry County would much rather play Munford than Munford would want to Play Henry County. History repeats it's itself, but LUCK only gets you so far, and then it runs out.

I am really shocked that Hardin out 22 on the board against Melrose. I am also really shocked that on the Melrose/Hardin thread someone from the mound said they didn't see anything from the Hardin receivers. Did Deberry (I believe that was his name) play? If Hardin put 22 up without any help from their star wide receivers, then Melrose is in trouble come Friday night.

It's hard to say. IMHO, Munford finds a way to win games they really shouldn't win. They just may do it again.

It's been hard to stay caught up on here this week. I have just sat back and read. HC overcame alot in this game. We made many mistakes, but luckily enough so did East. We also overcame some of the worst officiating I have ever witnessed. Drew is right, we wont get a win at Melrose unless we shape up, learn from our mistakes, protect the football, and play as flawless as possible. Melrose defense will be fast, but I dont think they will have an answer for #34. Speed doesn't do you much good when your feet are in the air and Allen is dragging you behind him almost unnoticed. I look for HC to upset Melrose next week, and then I will be looking for the nearest exit.
