But I'm just trying to say we as men should be careful as to what we say about these kids as to not deflate them if they themselves surf these forums. By no means am I trying to protect "Lil Johnny", a dose of reality is great for anyone, Just the way you had worded it seemed like a slap in the face to the kid and truthfullness of his statements. I keep seeing no starts till his Senior year in High School, well know a lil more before posting. As a Freshman he was invited to Varsity, but was the starting freshman QB then Starting JV QB for 2 years while still playing on varsity all of these years. If you followed ALL high school football and not just varsity you would see how scouts n such can see a Kids potential while scouting others well before becoming a varsity starter. I would have to look them up myself but his stats thruout high school speak for themselves.

Greenville looked great and gave me nothing short of the game I expected to see. Greenway...............well.......I've heard all the rumors n such which I take with a grain of salt. For a guy to go thru what he has over the last few years and be in the position he is as a leader of his team............Kudos for keeping your head high and continuing to do what you do best. Class act on his behalf helping the cramping Rebel during the game, he showed sportsmanship start to finish. Kid has a future for sure, GREAT athlete. Now back to the QB ranking gods on this post, Cap are you a South fan or what? Must be your always here running your mouth. If your a DB or SH fan do us all a favor and stay on thier forums. You shouldnt come in here and Dis a Kid that has worked so hard to be where he is, and doing a GREAT job at it. Basically you didnt come out and say it but you assumed the recruiting is a lie I take it. Takes a real man to down a teenager in a computer forum.

I'm sure this game will be no pushover or just handed to us on a silver platter. JC will be in the first half until the Rebel offensive train really gets rolling on track and begins the scoring machine. I'll agree w/ you Southrebel the area is great and atmosphere is deffinatly great for Football on Friday night. Mountain City is just a beautiful town hands down. Loved it there 3 years ago with the exception of losing my Cell Phonef9d -SIGH- Good luck to all our guys and the Longhorns, hope for a great game and a safe one.

And what about the bomb over the left side that left the stands rocking?? That was a thing of beauty. The guy has great talent i saw that evident in the 7 on 7s and the jamboree I watched. The 2nd Int he tried to force a play but the first.................I'll just say we need to make an effort for the ball when its thrown to you. Fletcher.................well what can you say but OUTSTANDING, he more than proved his mettle in this game, amazing slasher and bruising to boot. I know he was a lil disappointed w/ just under 1000 yards last season but theres no way he wont eclipse that this year. I too am not seeing much break away ability from our recievers but I think with time and reps the precise route running will become much deadlier than the go for broke plays. I think we will have a great balance of pass/run offense to be right in the hunt once more this year. I'm thinking MLC champs again???

I'm thiking a South win 21-14, I'm not worried about the running game and we havent got to see it yet to its fullest during these 7 on 7's. Fletcher looked really good catching out of the backfield though.

And granted I read more than I post in the forums but I GREATLY disagree w/ Comp's post on Bradleys skills /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" . Unsure what 7 on 7s youve went to but What I see is a much better passing game w/ Bradley. I feel after seeing both QBs over the last 4 years Bradleys long ball accuracy is much better than Curts, Curt was a force in the spread and is deadly in an option type system but i've never seen him as a pocket passing QB like Bradley is. Running elusiveness I'll give to Curt but Bradley is no Slouch either. With Bradley we will be more well rounded as a TEAM this year utilizing our running game more as whole also. Great game by both teams in a whole. A few mistakes on our part spelled our own doom but we played very well with them in my eyes. Congrats to Maryville on the win and good luck this coming Friday. The one thing i guess that stood out the most the entire trip was the sportsmanship and great attitudes displayed during and after the game. After coming onto the field we spoke briefly with players and Maryville fans and I come away with admiration and respect for them loss or not. The maturity and respect in their players was great post game. As with any game of any given night even the best are beatable. Maryville has the recent history and the record but all are meant to come to an end and I'de like to see the South Rebels do so Friday night as myself and my family will travel to watch this matchup. I think our Rebels will be fired up and in the right mindset to pull off an upset. I wish both teams the best of luck and a safe game, But regardless of what happens the "Rebels" will win. I think this game will be closer than most think also, I'm sure Maryville will have depth and size on us but our guys will match them in heart. South Rebels 28 Maryville 24

I'm guessing a South win of 35-14 for this one. It will come down to who wins the battle up front I think and lets there QB pick the opposing defense apart.

My two cents want them or not are that DB is at the point they are and have been for some time due to great coaching PERIOD. I have not been a fan of some of Souths reent coaches but i think Carter has us turned in the right direction, but... hes still behind Clarks coaching so far. Back to my start, Coach Clark has been and will be for some time a top notch coach for DB. Im a Southfan and DB has always been a heated rival, but.........Give Kudos where due guys, Coach Clark is DB Football, and the DB football program has had a long great run under him and will continue to do so.

I for one think that Jeffers has the more acurate arm of the two QB's, Curt is the more elusive of the 2 running the ball but its close in that area also. Both QB's could start at any school right now w/o a doubt. So South has a huge luxury with a great, competent backup waiting in the wings. Knowing Jeffers pretty well as i do I can tell you hes more man than most that post on this site, because hes above the bashing and rude comments we so frequently see. Hes been quite, making the most of his time waiting his turn to start and i appluad him on his maturity for being happy with where he is. For any of you who dont know of Jeffers you should check out the Freshman and JV stats from last year as well as JV this year. We have a great one coming up with him.

Gratz on a big win for East in the playoffs, sorry for the late post but worked out of state last week. East was primed and ready for the win and we just got a bad start that was hard to overcome in the long run. I heard it was a hard fought game but the early turn overs demoralized South in the end. Gratz East!

Man what a rumor, I think the guy would have more class than that, I dont think it would happen. But as ive said before we have a great young Qb in Bradley Jeffers waiting in the wings. Both are class guys and great Qb's so South has no need to fret either way.

South by at least 14 points in this one. Will probably start out a slow trench war and then open up in the second half most likely.
