  1. Raiders give your all for Coffee Co. tonight. That's all you can do. GO RAIDERS
  2. Hey 82cat look at the photo gallery for the Smyrna Riverdale game. The Riverdale picture poster said, "The 'game of the year' turned into the 'rout of the year'." If this thread makes you mad just look at the pictures and the caption underneath each picture. WOW you guys got beat 49-0 at HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Come on man. Give it a rest. Get a life.
  4. and who said the Saturday Independent had no circulation!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Ok 82Cat I think I understand. Smyrna beat Coffee Co. in a fall scrimmage 3 scores to 2, but Coffee Co. has no chance to beat Smyrna in the first round of the playoffs. Riverdale smoked Smyrna 49-0 in the regular season, but if they meet in the playoffs you never know, Smyrna will probably pull the upset. Smyrna will beat Coffee Co. everyone knows that--me included. But when the Tennessean publishes stat leaders again Sonny Gray will be No.1, but look a few lines down and see Coffee Co.'s QB Graham. He passed for 1300+ yards. Then look at the rushing leaders and you won't find any Smyrna backs, but you will find two Coffee Co. RB's with over 1,000 yards each. Oh by the way there about 65 15-18 yearolds and 8 adults who don't buy the fact that Smyrna is unbeatable. They are working and scheming hard to get the first playoff win for a town that has a poor football history. Coffee Co. has no pressure on them at all. Everyone expects them to lose. They have everything to gain and nothing to lose.
  6. Hey 82cat in case you forgot you finished second in your region. The region winner waxed you 49-0 and never threw a pass. Sure you will beat Coffee Co. but you have no chance of getting out of Rutherford Co. in the playoffs. Smyrna is just another average second place region team that will soon fade away and be forgotten.
  7. Changes on offense for Tullahoma or Coffee Co.?
  8. Hey Mr. Heisman-- How many "i"s are there in coffee anyway. Oh I forgot you spell it coffie.
  9. Hey Wingboy you are wrong half the time anyway. Hope Tullahoma doesn't get the homecooking ref's like they did the last time Coffee Co. played there (Remember penalty for illegal block on extra point and Coffee Co. lost the game by one point). Expect the unexpected.
  10. Someone on the sideline told me that coach Price was talking to his team when the penalty was called. It appeared to be a inexperienced and young sidejudge on the Coffee side line. He missed several calls and was not comfortable the whole game. He missed the spot terribly on Coffee Co. fourth down play in the first half. Someone even said that he accused Coffee of stopping the clock intentionally when the Coffee player got hurt in the 4th quarter. If you were there you know the officiating was very poor the whole game. The head official had no control of his crew. Cookeville is a tough place to play. I heard they were local officials and that game clock needs to be looked into. It's almost as bad as the Cookeville PA guy.
  11. Wow. Coffee Co. special teams stink it up again. After Coffee takes the lead 14-7, the kickoff team lets Cookeville return the kickoff for a touchdown (just like Brentwood). Then Coffee fumbles the kickoff from Cookeville (just like Brentwood) and never recovers the lead again. I believe if the same problem cost me two games in three weeks I would get it fixed one way or another. Coffee will never beat a quality team until some REAL attention is paid to special teams. It looks like they never work on them. 4 turnovers lost (all fumbles) for Coffee didn't help things.
  12. Come on Wingman, I thought you were a believer in Coffee Co. I guess you just can't do it, especially after all the Jake Nunley slams you wrote a few years ago. I notice on the Big Ones contest you are wrong 40% of the time. I hope you are 100% wrong on this pick. GO RAIDERS!
  13. Enough is enough. Give it a rest. Nobody cares.
  14. I hope Coffee Co. is looking for the fake extra point-pass for two points. How many times has Cookeville used that play?
  15. Mr. Heisman you need to slow down. I'll try to explain this using your vocabulary. How can a team that didnt even make their region last year (I guess you meant playoffs) come from that to the next year being "for real"? Here is how it works. When Cookeville was starting and giving significant playing time to your 37 seniors last year, Coffee Co. was starting and giving significant playing time to sophomores and juniors. Coffee Co. paid the price last year but will reap the benefits this year. Coffee Co. is a very experienced team. They will be even more experienced next year.
  16. Ok, Mr. Heisman will Coffee Co. be for real if they beat Cookeville, or do they have to beat mighty White Co. first? How many first downs did White Co. have against Cookeville? How many yards rushing did White Co. have against Cookeville? By the way, how do you doctor a film? What equipment is necessary? What does the finished product look like? I recall that you can usually see the down and first down markers in the background? Couldn't even a dunce see that a game film had been doctored? Oh never mind, you said you did notice it.
  17. I guess if a long-time doormat team turned things around in less than 5 years and they were in my region or the same county I would be tempted to say bad things about their coach too. If you know Coach Price you know he is not doctoring films. He runs the same plays every year. It is not hard to figure out. Except for this year. New formations, new plays, new way of doing things. Averaging over 41 points a game. Coffee Co. is for real.
  18. Hope the Raiders can get their special teams up to speed. It cost them the game last night. Their offense and defense outplayed Brentwood. Look at the stats. The kickoff team let Brentwood return the opening kick for a touchdown (untouched). Another one was returned to the 15 yard line but a penalty saved the Raiders. The kickoff return team fumbled the first kickoff after Brentwood scored. It backed the Raiders up and they fumbled 3 plays later (questionable call by the offical) and Brentwood recovered and scored. That's 14 points right there. Later the Brentwood punter had the snap fly over his head-never laid a hand on it-and Coffee Co. had no one rushing. He ran back to his own 20 to pick up the ball and got off a good kick. That big mistake didn't hurt Brentwood a bit. Poor special teams cost Coffee Co. several games last year.
  19. I don't know Wingman. I got a hunch. It's going to be closer than you think.
