  1. It's definitely been awhile since i've been on these boards but i had to login today and wish my boys well for tonight. I am honestly a little nervous about this game due to all the circumstances that have took place in Marion the last several weeks. I think it definitely gives them added motivation and just as snoball said earlier in this thread there is nothing more dangerous than a wounded animal! I look for a good, tough, hard fought game with a late Yellow Jacket touchdown to take the W! I hope for safe travels to the Warriors and i hope you enjoy the mystical place that we call the "Creekbank". Play Hard Jackets and make us proud!!

  3. I've been pretty quiet on here for awhile been extremely busy but after reading this thread it reminds me of how much i enjoyed this website. As far as the game last night i thought it was great! What more as a high school football fan could you ask for. #2 and #22 for FCS are awesome i thought they played great. i wish they were wearing purple and gold!! As far as all the crap that i've heard about the endzone and the mommas taunting that was uncalled for and just flatout stupid. No matter what happened on the field there is never a good reason for adults to act that way. As a true and devoted Yellow Jacket i apoligize for the behavior of some of our local idiots. One thing to remember is every community has them and every team has those type fans. Basketball season is starting and it's always interesting being ridiculed by the commander fans after they beat us on the Bball court. Trust me i speak from experience i've never been cussed and ridiculed more than when i waded thru the fcs crowd after they beat us last year but thats just the way it is. As far as the players great game last night now lets get ready for Mckenzie!! Keep pounding the rock and stay focused on the goal. Continue to make us proud and let's take a trip to Cookeville.
  4. Just now getting around to my postgame posting and all i can say is What A Game!!! I was a basket case for 3 quartetrs well my wife says i'm that all the time but i was worse than normal for three quarters. Jo Byrns moved the ball better on us than anyone all season bar none. We have faced some better defenses but as far as offenses yours was the best. Your oline is top notch they did some things to our front four that haven't been done all season and #44 is a hoss. He has very good feet and great vision. I made the prediction that we would win by two scores and that was based on the west being weaker the last couple of years but honestly i thought this game was very close and could have went either way. The muffed kickoff was huge as far as field position was concerned and things just kinda spiraled for the red devils after that. When our boys hold up those 4 fingers at the start of the fourth quarter that means it's time to step it up a notch and that's what they did. In closing i thought it was a very good game with two deserving teams. My hats off to Jo Byrns and wish you well in the future!!! Now to the jackets way to go guys. I knew you could do it!!! To the seniors i have loved watching this group about as well as any thats came thru. I've been watching you fellas since you were in the 7th grade and i'm sure gonna miss it. Cunningham you are some kinda special you play with more intensity and heart than anyone i've ever known. I'm sure the underclassmen on some of the teams that we'll play next year are glad you'll be gone. You're the definition of the word Head hunter. Creigh Hall you're truly a team player and another one that'll give it everything you've got on every snap. You'll be deeply missed and very hard to replace. Austin Dillon you're a true under acheiver like in the movie Rudy your 5foot nothing a100 and nothing but play like your 7 foot 300 pounds and run a 4-2 40. You're always around the ball and always making plays. Jared White we've watched you grow as a kicker from just kicking exta points to taking over on the kickoffs to taking the punting duties. You've got better every year and i hope to watch you kick in college next year. I've said all year that you play on defense to and people didn't understand what i meant but it's simple you pin the other team deep either kicking off or punting. It gives the other team a long field to travel every possession that is huge. Tony Hood you started the year a little shaky i thought but man did you step it up as the season went on. Great Job Tony!!! Some of the unsung heroes Shane Johns,Kreig Story,Jeffrey Butcher and Justin Harris. Shane you played tough as nails when you got your chance and was a huge lift coming off the bench. Kreig you started it ain't no telling how many games in a row at offensive tackle always pacing the sideline when we were on defense. You were a good show just watching you for the past four years. Butcher i remember when you broke your finger at RBS a couple years ago it was laying over on the side and you came out got it taped up and went right back in. Your a tough competitor and will be surely missed. Justin Harris your playing time has been minimal but players like you are crucial to the success of a championship team. Sure you may not have your name called that much on friday night but who makes those players better in practice mondat thru thursday. To all the seniors good luck in the future. Take what you've learned the last four years of being a jacket and put it to use in your everyday life. The work ethic and winning attitude will take you as far in life as you want to go. Underclassmen it's time to get back to work these boys have set the bar high so you have the job of keeping it going. Great job Jackets!!!!!!!!
  5. I'll give a big amen to that last statement!! I'd sure like to see them get a good one. Hey tigerpride i hear Phil Fulmer is looking for a job. What do you think?
  6. Sorry i can't tell you nothing more than there's a picture of them on the wall at the jackets nest like all the other championship teams. That's about all i know about it. We have some pretty good historians Ole3putt might could help? GO JACKETS!!!!
  7. Woooooo finally! Didn't think i was ever gonna sift thru all 61 pages of pure crap!!! I honestly have to say it was very entertaining. Cpr dude i honestly have to say i have never heard one person brag on there self like you do. You really love yourself don't ya? People will never have to worry about you getting lonely because your always around the only person in the world that really matters to you! YOURSELF!!!! Well enough of that now on to the game. No doubt JBS is a good football team or they wouldn't be in the championship game. With that being said do i think they can win sure. Anything can happen!! In my opinion will they win NO!! I say that meaning no disrespect i'm very proud that they made it this far and they need to take it all in. Trust me this is something they'll be proud of and cherish for a lifetime. I had the oppurtunity to play on a championship team in 90 and wouldn't trade that experience for no amount of money. I also like my friend, the sign maker that now resides in Portland, had the oppurtunity to play the red devils when they weren't so good back in 90. If my memory serves me right it was a nice environment for high school football and some very nice folks. I'm proud of your program coming from where you where then to where you are now. That is very commendable. I look for a good hard fought game but i honestly think my boys will just be to much for ya. I say Jackets by two scores. If i'm wrong i'll take my crow just like the rest of the jacket faithful and i guarantee you'll hear no excuses from me!! GO JACKETS!!! As far as the 'running up the score crap'. I was at that game and that's as far from the truth as it goes. The youngons played almost all night and played hard as did the RBS boys. The RBS coaches need there head examined for some of the boneheaded moves they made that night but nothing but respect for the players at RBS from me. As far as your coach telling the youngons to lay down and not play. That's just wrong and stupid!!! Those youngons go to practice everyday and work hard year round. They finally get a chance to play and you don't letem. That's a crock! Up until this year we didn't play JV games so the underclassmen had no oppurtunity to see playing time unless it was in clean up duty. So the point is you've gotta let em play!!! It's not as disrespectful as laying down and playing dead.
  8. Mr Bossbro i think i read on here that #2 is your son. If that is true let me start by saying man what an athlete. i was expecting him to break one everytime he touched the ball. I hope he gets a big scholarship somewhere and we can watch him play some sec football next year. As far as the game the other night i hate to see fans from both sides get on here and take away from a classic battle where the kids from both sides laid it all on the line. Both sides could have quit when they got behind or faced a little adversity but they didn't. All the crying about the refs[should have called this and shouldn't have called that] the cockiness, kicking, coaching, etc. It just takes away from what i thought was possibly one the best games that i've ever witnessed and the funny thing is i missed most of the first half because of work[i should have quit rather than missing part of such a great game but i really like to eat and no one wants to feed my big but]. Please fans appreciate what these boys give you the other night and appreciate all the hard work, sweat, blood, pain, and tremendous amount of time that these kids give to make a game like this possible. While others are out partying and having fun these kids are at the field house working hard. Just remember that when your posting stupid crap. As always i have extremely enjoyed the oppurtunity to play the pirates. What a great program and a great little town!! Thanks for the classic boys i'm proud of both sides!! Way to show alot of heart and lay everything on the line!!!
  9. lol true very true!!!! /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  10. Kaz don't get your drawers all wadded up. Don't you see thats what slim wants you to do. He gets a little carried away sometimes[all the time]. He tends to give all our opponents plenty of bulletin board material. I'm sure Coach Creasy appreciates it. Have a little sense shady they didn't go 13-0 being a bunch of Muffins! Sure you might think we're better shoot i think we're better but respect the record and home field advantage. Do i think we can win definitely!!! Will we blow them out? Doubtful. If we play defense like we did tonight the indians will have a hard time finding the endzone and thats the truth. GO JACKETS!!!!!
  11. There is no doubt in my mind that Oneida is a very good football team. Your not still playing Thanksgiving week if your a muffin! I will say this if your any better than the team we beat tonight then i'll kiss you right square in the well you know what. We're beatable there's no doubt but i guarantee you one thing WE WILL NOT QUIT. What you see in the 1st quarter is what you'll see in the 4th quarter. We just get stronger as the game goes on. This could be a very dangerous game for us especially after a battle like we were in tonight. Jackets there's no time for a let down if you have a let down you'll find yourself watching the bluecross bowl from your living room. This is the semifinals show them injuns how we play football in Trousdale County!! They've seen it before but lets show em again. Does anyone know the record between these two schools. I remember playing y'all atleast once up there in the playoffs but thats the only game i remember between us. GO JACKETS!!!!!!
  12. I just watched the channel 5 news and we got snubbed again!!!! We host the defending state champs and two undefeated teams. We don't even get an honorable mention. Pathetic truly pathetic!!! There were atleast two news crews from Chattanooga there and we can't get a sniff. Unbelievable!!! GO JACKETS!!!!!
  13. OH MY!!!!!!! What a show!! That was one for the ages right there. I have never seen two defenses dominate a game like that. Two teams with very potent offenses just totally get shutdown. Unbelievable!! Sp that #25 is a beast he plays all over the field heck of an athlete. #2 is something special to i was expecting him to squirt free anytime but great job defense for holding him in check. Y'all have one the best defensive lines that i've ever seen also those guys were huge. Oh and great call on the touchdown play it took everybody by surprise. I honestly thought your receiver was gonna catch that ball at the end of the game whooooo was that close. Your qb made a great throw and the reciever had a few steps. All around great game just like every other TC/SP game i've ever watched. Classy program and classy fans. I wish we could play every year!!! Now on to my boys! What a game guys! You played with discipline and huge heart tonight. You shut that speed down and played awesome defense. Enjoy this win and savor it for just a short time because the journey is not yet over it's only just begun. Keep your eyes on the prize. GO JACKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Old player the smack talking by the dos is ligit and i think no one has denied it. As far as the sign stealing garbage it's exactly that garbage. They say one of there ex-players that new the signs was stealing them and transferring them to one of our cornerbacks. If that be the case they both must be pretty talented to keep that kind of chirade going on the whole game. I work in SC and all that info came pretty straight from some owl faithful. I to respect the owl program and enjoy the rivalry. It will surely be missed but life goes on. Here's an idea maybe we should have cried like little babies when they thumped us the past two years previous to this one. All i remember saying was great game you whipped our butts!! If i could only go back!!!! Nah all leave all the crying to the Sc fans and posty from Westmoreland.
  15. Wow just got caught up on my reading man was i behind!!! I can't hardly wait for tommorrow night shoot i'm so pumped up you'd think i was still playing. Let me tell you though that would be ugly you know i'm like Toby Keith said'i ain't as good as i once was'. But in all honesty i think this will definitely live up to it's hype or atleast i hope it will. There have been alot of sp fans bringing up several players names and giving them some love so here's some love for ours. Josh Cunningham #55/32 made the unselfish move from fullback to guard halfway thru his senior season. That to me is commendable and the true definition of a team player. Watchout for him cause he's a headhunter. Creigh Hall another senior is as solid as a rock and will bring everything on every play. Tacola Seay is a beast he is a hard runner and will lay the wood with the best of them. Austin Dillon is a very smart player and will ALWAYS be around the ball. Kraig Storey an unsung hero has made like 30 straight starts at offensive tackle and is a senior. Kyle Gregory is a young warrior only a sophmore but starts both ways and hardly ever comes off the field. Alex Gregory #50 remember this number. What an outstanding year this kid has had. in my opinion he has to be the most improved. What a warrior!! Bent Ford you can't say enough about this kid. What a talent i honestly don't believe he knows just how good he is. Joey Cox has to be one of the best cover corners in the state well at least he's one the best that we've had in a long time. The two headed monster at qb Craig Brown and Dillan Young great job guys. Finally Jared White he's changed field position and kept it in our favor all year long. Good luck on the mr football awards to you and Ford. Oh and not to forget probably the best looking shoes in the country those bring new meaning to the old statement 'it's gotta be the shoes'. I know there are definitely more unsung heroes on this team but that's just a few for you pirates to think about. Great job Jackets just remember to keep your eyes on the prize and don't rest till you hold up that gold ball!!! GO JACKETS!!!!
