  1. A friend I have on the team says that three quarterbacks are getting equal reps for first team offense. I know Brantley and Connor are 2 of those, and I think the third is the transfer from Baylor ( though I could be dead wrong on that last one). Monroe doesn't seem to be leaning toward any of them. I would suppose if that continues through the summer that Pepping would start due to having some kind of experience, but that's just a guess.
  2. Which is not a good thing, IMO. It's always a better situation to have one really good QB and a up and coming back-up than two good QBs.
  3. 1. Unless you know Ooltewah's schedule in full, and are willing to post it Online Immediately, then don't say it has nine games. I can't see how anyone on Ooltewah's staff would rather do that than play a McCallie or a Red Bank or anyone for that matter. 2. How many times has Ooltewah lost to Mid-State teams the past 5 years? I can only think of Smyrna (state champs) and Riverdale (state champs). For that matter, how do we roll every year if last year was our first time in serious contention at a title, we've never been undefeated before in the regular season? We're a team on the rise, like West Virginia. Not a team with experience at this stuff, like USC. 3. From what I saw last October, Oak Ridge was about as talented as Heritage. They really really stunk. I think the only reason we didn't win by more was because of their good coaching. 4. Ooltewah's secondary was our worst unit last year. There's no question it couldn't cover Wilks. He's a top ten (five?) prospect in Tennessee. Those of us with eyes will admit that no question. 5. Can Smyrna fans quit telling me how much better Rutherford County is? I've already admitted that last year. BUT That ONE game WAS DOMINATED BY NO ONE. THAT GAME. NOT OUR GAME VS. RAVENWOOD, NOT BY ANY OTHER MID-STATE OPPONENT. WE HAVEN'T PLAYED THOSE TEAMS. We played Smyrna, and played them a really really close game with a lot of crucial mistakes by both sides, a game that could've seriously (OMG) gone either way (GASP!). This year we might play Ravenwood or Oakland or Lavergne or Blackman or whoever, and we might win. If we don't, and we continue not to win against Mid-State opponents, you might have a case, because there will be a pattern OF MORE THAN ONE GAME TO BASE IT ON. We're talking about Ooltewah here. No one else. And last year's Ooltewah team could've beaten any team in 5A. They played Smyrna once, at Smyrna, and neither side has any concrete proof that they dominated. NEITHER. I really wish that (not, I think there's actually visual evidence that it's not, some TV station admitted it) fumble out the back had gone our way, so we would've won and not had to listen to this bunch of crap. 2006 Ooltewah=2006 Smyrna 6. Ooltewah fans. Stop being Stupid. They're always going to whine about mid-state supremacy, and they're always going to have the numbers to back it up. But you and I both know that Ooltewah has the talent, the coaching, and the depth to win against any mid-state team this year. Maybe not next year, maybe not two years ago, but this year and last, we do. 7. Ooltewah players. WIN ALL OF YOUR GAMES PLEASE SO WE CAN BEAT SMYRNA (my pre-season pick for that semi-final spot against us) AT HOME THIS YEAR PLEASE. Sheesh.... I really hope we win a state title, just like every other 5A school in Tennessee.
  4. I hope the info you have hasn't been updated since February. If so, it makes me a little sad that we're doing everything we can schedule-wise not to win a state title this year. At least we have top five talent level in Tennessee. That sure got us far in baseball in '06. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Also if true, I'll predict an 8-1 Record, losing to either Farragut or William Blount, whichever comes first. Soft schedules don't prepare a team for anything.
  5. Does anyone have the complete Ooltewah Schedule? I'd like to see if it's as soft as I think it is.
  6. Maybe he's leaving because he stunk? Central showed more talent on offense than Oak Ridge did in my opinion, but they were so badly coached on both sides of the ball that they couldn't do anything.
  7. 5A in Tennessee is really really clearly the best in Middle TN. Look at the state titles and you will see. 2A, 3A, and 4A, east is dominant. Is Ooltewah seriously playing Whites Creek? A weak 4A team. How Boring. I would love to see Ooltewah play McCallie, though our region should be highly improved next year with a probably normal Oak Ridge, better William Blount, and Sterling-led Farragut. I can't see us going undefeated again, but I do have high hopes (State Championship calibur).
  8. To everyone: Don't judge Ooltewah by my actions. If you knew me, you'd know that I'm the sorest loser ever in any sport. Ooltewah has classier fans than any other team I've met sans Oak Ridge. From the start however last night, I did not have a good time at this ballgame. My ticket, which I collect those, was taken, the announcer and music was annoying as heck, and my seat was awful. My team never being in the lead just made it worse for me. I had no fun at this game, mostly thanks to the stadium, so I do not wish Smyrna luck in the championship despite their being equal to or better than Ooltewah in this game. I do believe that the better team won because we had our chance at the end and got SAAAAAAAAAAAAAACKED, but I do think we should've gotten that penalty, because of how I saw it from my seat. I will not say otherwise, and the picture looks to close for me to call in Smyrna's favor. *ends crybaby whining for the rest of this season, will see you all next year*
  9. Judge for yourself people, but that arm doesn't look very legal to me.
  10. Notre Dame? Does anyone from Ooltewah give a rat's behind about Notre Dame?
  11. I can't see the upset happening, as good as Hillsburo is. The way Maryville has dominated two undefeated teams in the past two weeks leads me to believe they'll do it again. Maryville should be #1 in everyone's poll. They're just so...good.
  12. Yep. I called that fade route as soon as I saw Landsen go to try cover him on first and goal. The other play that was really obvious was that fake punt. I as well as a few Smyrna fans apparantly saw that one coming from a mile away. 4th a 5 from the 50 at a point where momentum is key? C'mon.
  13. BTW, I would like to add, don't take anything I said besides point #2 with any sense. I actually couldn't see the entire game. Like literally missing most plays because the stands were so awful. Like the 2nd to last play. It really looked like he got laid out right on his helmet, but I couldn't see it because my seat was so bad. Oh well. That's what I get for arriving only 45 minutes early. And I will not say that either team is better, (Smyrna is extremely talented, but Ooltewah also missed dozens of opportunities to score) but I will say that I want to know if blow to the helmet was applicable there, because it would've given us a chance at the field goal.
  14. Very, but thankfully Ooltewah will never have to play you again after Riverdale wipes you out next year.
  15. Go Ravenwood because Smyrna stole your slogan and won't admit to it.
  16. I have way too many things I'm P'Oed about to even list, so I'll shorten my post to not offend too dramatically. 1. Is blow to the helmet a foul in High School yet? Did Jeremy Woods not get sacked by his helmet on the second to last play? 2. Smyrna. Make your away bleachers less stupid. Thank You. 3. To TSSAA, please make a foul for excessive use of home field advantage on the PA system. I'm proud to say that Ooltewah is home of the most boring announcer on earth, and I'm glad we're not lame enough to play the chicken dance when an opponent scores. It's fine when the band gets into it, but when you have the PA announcer yelling SAAAAAAAAAAACKED every time it happens, it just seems like it crosses the line of fairness. Second year in a row this has happened to us. Besides those points, I think our team did not take advantage of our opportunities, and our coaching was less than spectacular in many areas. But I'm just a stupid fan, so I'll shut up and wait for next year. And I won't be rooting for Smyrna in the championship BTW. Too much stuff happened stadium-wise for me to have much respect for them. I hope Ravenwood kills them. I'm just too angry right now.
  17. Region 1 has 7 members right now, and Region 2 has 8, so what I can see happening is Bearden and Karns moving to Region 2, and William Blount, Heritage, and Maryville moving to region 1. That would work well. Knoxville goes fully to region 2, and all the other Maryville and above schools go to region 1.
  18. Once again I'm just going to reiterate, your team lost by quite a few points. You seem to love to nitpick in the dumbest ways just to save face for your team, but I'd just like to let you have that one morsel you can't touch. Your team lost by a lot.
  19. Ha. Going back to the earliest threads of this season, I saw that someone had picked Hillsburo vs. Maryville for the state title before either had played a game. Therefore, I'm picking Hillsburo to win this one.
  20. Not to mention Ooltewah's 10 forced Turnovers in the last 3 games. Or overall margin of +16.
  21. Regular season yeah, but three if playoffs included. William Blount (Daran Walker), Bradley Central(Joel Moody), Farragut Playoff(Sterling).
  22. 1. There are no stats for Linemen, unless you can tell me the number of sacks in the game I guess. 2. 2 interceptions. Not three. 3. 3 100 yard rushers. A better stat would've been 229.5 Yards per game for the opposition. Calling him a punk is a nice touch though, just fixing your numbers. I love ImaOwl's stats though. They definately solidify the win for Ooltewah in my mind. Just like last week, the week before, and all the weeks before that besides the William Blount game, we're the better team.
  23. I think I've finally got my prediction for this game down. Ooltewah 38, Smyrna 24. It seems like coaches don't realize that if they only pass the ball on us, they'll win. I'm hoping that happens again. Ooltewah seems destined to take this whole thing. And that 24 comes on a late TD that doesn't really matter. And I say that Ooltewah will be losing at halftime.
  24. 2 things I'd like to say real quick. It was probably me saying that Jeremy doesn't make good decisions. That's a misinterpretation. I'm just saying he's missed a few wide open throws this year, like in the interception he threw at the end of the first half vs. Heritage, he had somebody open by 15 yards on all sides but he went looking for his first reciever and threw into double coverage. Most of the decisions he does make are great, like reading the defense vs. Farragut and running for 15 yards to the goaline on one play. Brian Marshall is not afraid to take big hits. In the first Farragut game, he got walloped in the third quarter by Shane Reviez, and was lying on the ground for a few moments, and he followed that up 5 minutes later with a 73 yard touchdown run. Ooltewah isn't big at all. We're undersized in every category but QB, FB, and recievers. But, we're strong and fast. Farragut's line averages 6-4 280, and we've beaten them twice.
