Cheatham got a good scout of Heritage at the Sycmore game, the entire team was there Friday night. Guess they had a off night. They should have got a good eyeful of what Heritage is capable of....I'm sure what they saw put just a little fear in their gut. you are right Truth...Heritage lost by 3 to White House at home...and had Westmoreland down by 10 at halftime at home and blew it in the 3rd q. btw two of Heritages top scorers only had 2 points apiece that night. Should be a different game next time around. Wish I could be at two places at once tonight...would love to see the WH vs Westmoreland game.

Guru just one observation buddy, calm down...Come to Heritage tomorrow night and get a glimse of where the District Tournament will be held. Heritage takes on "power house" Cheatham. Westmoreland vs White house. ehhh Westy takes another loss. Greenbrier might get their first district win vs Sycamore. They keep grinding they are bound to win one. that weave tho. 75 I will take it.... came from good made shots as opposed to good not made shots. Broke the press a lot as well for easy baskets during the game.

Glad to see Heritage moving up off the bottom of the chart. With a decisive win over Sycamore this week White House played a good game against a tough Harpeth team as well. Good win for those boys. Cheatham gets by Greenbrier in what I heard was a really fast paced affair. Westmoreland gets knocked off the throne and I am certain will not be their last loss this year. Here is a summary of the last 7 games for each team...interesting. Going on Coach T stats. Could be some game not listed. idk. correct me if wrong. I think a good indication of where the teams are going headed into the final third of the season. Cheatham 6-1 White House Heritage 5-2 White House 3-4 Harpeth 3-4 Westmoreland 2-5 sycamore 2-5 Greenbrier 0-7 Thoughts on this weeks games.

Its about to get real in district play this week....1/12/16 games Cheatham vs Sycamore- the rival starts. Sycamore will be out to prove who is best this year. I'm sure they will give it their all and its a home game for them. Must stop Douglas bar none, make the rest of the team beat you. Could this be the start of Cheathams run? Cheatham by double digits. may be 10 ...may be 30 if Cheatham plays like they did vs White House. White House vs Harpeth- if Harpeth shoots it like they did vs Heritage this will not be a contest. White House need to snap out of it and play team ball, their only chance to win this one. Harpeth team defense is good and they run a frustrating offense with many moving picks that don't get called. this one is at Harpeth...a tough place to play. Harpeth by 10 WHHeritage vs Greenbrier- So this Greenbrier team has been giving some teams fits for some reason. Took Harpeth to Ot. Lost to Westmoreland by 6. But just lost to Jo Byrns ? that's a head shaker. Idk Heritage has lost close ones as well. Its at Greenbrier. Could be the game Heritage steps up and plays some basketball like they are capable of or Greenbrier could play the roll of spoiler. I feel like Heritage will survive this one. Heritage by 8 Westmoreland does not play on the 12th but have Harpeth. Still sitting on top of the District...Will Harpeth knock down the top dog Friday. Probably, Westy has lost 4 out of their last 6 games and seemingly are not improving. Time will tell. I say Harpeth will win.

b52 WH gave Whites Creek all they could handle for most of the game....not a bad showing for playing against a team that was very athletic and had a 6'9 center. Several players looked good to me. just saying. Didn't say GREAT showing. good warm up for the war of 9 AA that is coming. WHHeritage has won 4 of the last 5 games and won the Watertown Tourney over Christmas. They are young but seem to be coming around and playing inspired ball. With out the starter who quit the team during the break. I look for them to continue to improve and will be playing good ball by tournament time. Heritage will face Harpeth this friday will be a good test to see where they are. Cheatham did have some comp against Hendersonville...hmph imagine that. Looks like they have another week to practice...no game this friday for them? Have Sycamore next tue. Should be interesting. who else?

WHHeritage Won the Watertown Christmas tournament. With a 68-72 win over Watertown last week. Watertown is a good team that shoots exceptionaly well from the Arc. Rebounds well and has the ability to get points in the paint. Well rounded team. I saw the Goodpasture/ Watertown game last night It was a good one. Foul trouble early for Watertown and Goodpasture seemed to have it in hand but #33 hits 3's and Wtown stayed in it. 1 point game at half and 1 point win in overtime. good stuff

White House with a decent showing in the Beech christmas tourney. Cheatham plays Hendersonville Tue night be interesting to see outcome. As hville has beat westmorland twice and Heritage beat Hville. Heritage won the Watertown Christmas tourney with wins over Davidson Aca. and Watertown and have won 3 of last 4 games. Has Ezell tonight at home. Harpeth on Friday. I'm looking forward to a crazy finish to the District should be some good games. who will rise above? Westmoreland is still the team to beat at the moment. But played marginal during holidays.

Christmas Break. Here is the breakdown of 9 AA. 1. Westmoreland 8-5 4-0 2. Cheatham 8-2 2-1 3. Harpeth 5-5 2-1 4. White House 6-6 2-2 5. Sycamore 3-5 1-2 6. WHHeritage 2-8 0-2 7. Greenbrier 2-10 0-3 Still surprised about Westmoreland but they did just get spanked by Hendersonville last night by 19 points. btw Heritage just beat Hendersonville AT Hendersonville. I would not write WHH off just yet. Only two losses in district with a lot of schedule left to play. I look for a district winning streak to happen after first of year. Also Had East down after first quater last night and took an 11 point loss at East in the end. But much better showing than the 30 + beating they took earlier in the year. A marked improvement. It was scary quiet in that gym after 1st. White House made Cheatham look good...made Douglas look awesome. I dont understand why you would back off of that type of player and dare him to shoot 3's. He dropped 40. ehhh smh. Greenbrier continues to impress... some streaky shooting ? Good D? Must be doing something right with the young players there. Took Westmoreland to OT but maybe Westy is just one of those teams that might have topped out for the year. idk Sycamore is right there...losing to Westmoreland and Harpeth by single digits and putting a whoopin on White House. Could be a dark Horse to win a few after new year as well. Maybe push for reg season Title. Who knows. They have to think they can sweep Cheatham this year in that heated rival. Cheatham- Have to be kicking themselves for the one Loss and are still a beatable team. Harpeth- Some impressive things beat Sycamore at Sycamore and 3 point loss to Cheatham and win over obviously improving greenbrier. Going to be tough. I say The Regular Season Championship is in the air and still totally up for grabs. Who is going to step up?

I know White House Heritage and Davidson Academy and obviously Watertown are in this one. Could some one post a schedule or know more about it. Thanks. I have heard good things about the new Watertown High School.

Heritage plays AT Harpeth. Also, prob a must win for White House for the same reason. It is a huge early game for both. Watching both of these teams, I would say Cheatham has more team hustle especially on defense. WH will have their hands full with the man d Cheatham swarms you with. This game could be another High scoring event for em. Cheatham will push every single time off offensive rebounds. Will be good!! Heritage needs a signature win in the district...a win vs Harpeth would be a step in the right direction. Back to back wins would be a great confidence builder as well. don't be surprised if they get it.

Would have liked to have seen the Cheatham/Harpeth game. I have seen Cheatham this year at the Spring Hill game. They are an above average team but only because of one player nothing really special after that...they do rebound exceptionally well as a team though. Beatable . Cheatham gets the win over Harpeth by 3. Just not the powerhouse 4 time district champ quality win I would expect. Seems like the entire district is incredibly equally I think it will come down to who continually improves as a team over the course of the season. Some teams I believe are playing about as good as they will be now and will get passed in the end. White House wins by 10 over a Greenbrier team that had 9 players in the scoring column looks like Greenbrier might be coming around and finding the players that will play night in and night out. WH only really has one player who is consistently scoring. Until they get solid scoring from others they will always have a chance to get beat. But that can be said for all teams. Heritage gets a gritty win over Hendersonville in overtime, truth ya missed one man. Guru I take everything that bomber shells out with a grain of salt...obviously a WH homer and # 22 who he says is "awful" dominated the bigs from Hville in the paint last night. ehhh I say Heritage will come around and surprise a few teams yet. Too much talent to stay down the entire season. Had Westmoreland down big at halftime then 3rd quarter doom...Heritage should have won easily. Normal Top scorer for WHH only had 2 points and didn't play the entire 4th. Friday games: Cheatham vs White House WHHeritage vs Harpeth Greenbrier vs Westmoreland Sycamore idk who they play. I'm not making any predictions until these teams show something...because right now I just don't know. Maybe some good games though.

It was one heck of a game.

I don't know why everybody so quiet... funny. The WH vs Heritage was anything but boring...even though WH did not get the fast pace up and down game I'm sure they were hoping for. The game was a battle and was great for the fans. 1st and 3rd quarters went to WH 2nd and 4th went to Heritage and a shot to take the lead with 13 seconds to go that rimmed off. Couldn't have asked for a more exciting game. I knew the two teams were going to be pretty much equal. Referees did play a big part sadly. I feel that Heritage has NOT hit their stride just yet and will be much stronger very soon. I've got this creepy feeling that this whole district barring Greenbrier and possibly Sycamore are surprisingly equal in talent and ability. Hopefully injuries will not effect any team. It will make for a very competitive season and race for top seed in the district tournament which unfortunately will not mean as much this year if all holds up. Brown and Baker will be tough for Sycamore who might surprise White House but I dought it. Give WH another win and still fast start for them...hope they have not peaked to soon. I've not seen Westmoreland play but dang! that was a shocker to see em beat Cheatham after ALL the hub bub about how they are the cream of the crop in 9 AA. pretty funny actually. That again goes to parity in the league. Douglas has 34 but only single digits out of the rest of the team is one of those things that make you say hmmmmm. ( with index finger placed firmly on chin). Heritage team size and quickness will prob match or be better than Westmoreland. WHH 3 4 and 5 goes 6'5, 6'5, and 6'3. Finishing at the rim will be imperative for Heritage who missed several layups at the end of the White House game that could have sealed it for them. I'm like you Truth...down to the last quarter and a close one again. Heritage by 4. Harpeth will dominate. 10-20 point victory depending on how many bench players play in the end.

Guru writes "And they just cant score! 60 points and 44 points against the same team is even"? Springfield dropped 66 on WH, Springfield scored 51 against Heritage . That is the difference and that is how. btw funny post guru. B52 I believe that's why WH lost... they did try to run with a team that runs....and they got beat at their own game. I agree with TRUTH, Heritage should host the District, the gym is prob one of the top 10 in the state.

Forget WH and Westy, Harpeth may be the team to look out for. Just looking at box scores Harpeth beat Dickson Co, a team that just a few day earlier beat Cheatham Co. Seems Harpeth outscored Dickson Co 33-21 in the second half. I find that a little scary... Better not count your chickens too soon B52. WH Heritage vs White House: This game will have a lot of hype coming into Tuesday. The two teams split the games last year. These boys have played together on the same teams at times over the years...they know each other. Couple that with the fact that both teams were beaten by Springfield by the same score amount... they appear to be about equal. WH has a few Seniors that start, that will be a slight advantage. In my opinion Heritage has the better athletes, only slight advantage. This game will come down to shooting, free throws and game strategy. I hope the Referees let the boys play. That last hope unfortunately tends to go against Heritage...even at home. Heritage by 6. 58-52

Nice report GURU. Wonder if fatigue played a factor at all with two games in a row. Heritage did scrimmage MBA the same night. A loss 54-53. MBA gets a phantom call on a put back score to tie the game with 4 sec to go... that gives them an and one he hits the free throw . Heritage cant get the last second heave to go. Heritage had the lead the entire 2nd half, a well played game by both teams. A game that came down to free throws in the 4th. Several missed by Heritage that could have sealed the win. MBA has size and quickness. Can shoot lights out as well. Very good pre season game that had various scenarios that will help in reg season. ksgovols: what is this about the District change....? First I have heard of this. I know the Districts Change every few years etc. Be nice to have a regional that didn't include Pearl Cohn or CPA.

well... good to know. Springfield is always a challenge but will take your word for it and no, had not heard about East kid going to Ky still an athletic quick team. Hume, idk about terrible, they always have shooters... and I heard they had their own gym now. So, maybe 4-0 start. at worst 0-4 we shall see.

WHHeritage will scrimmage MBA on 11/17. HOF game at Clarksville Academy Thursday 19th. Then pre district schedule is similarly difficult to WH. Playing Springfield, East Lit, Pearl Cohn and Hume-Fogg all before Dec 4/ should make playing District games feel a little better after that tough stretch of games. Maybe slip a win in on PC prior to football players returning to team. Not really sure how many starters actually play fb. Other teams first games? Tough or not?

I agree with JamesBB3...Camden bunch was a class Act. A far cry from the Sycamore game. Beagle... I also agree with you this game was won in the trenches and Whheritage was just a little stronger in the end. I was a good game Nice atmosphere for a game. GREAT concessions as well. Maybe get to see you all again if the Regions stay the same. That drive though!!! You guys can make it the next time. I am looking forward to a Rematch with CPA.

Heritage scrimmaged Stratford... pretty much played them even.Scorboard was not working in their gym. Strat still has boys in football playoffs though. I would Imagine they will be much tougher when the beef comes around. White House scrimmaged Hendersonville on the 10th< I did not hear a score ?? I'm sure they are enjoying having ALL the players on the team at this time of year. Heritage has not had any dismissals. Who else is playing, how are you looking. come on
