If you are talking about that Elliott boy let me tell you WH guys something you cant take the bomb from Hiroshima and turn into a sniper rifle.Which means you cant make a mix tape kid into a basketball player, it cant be done, I have watched many coaches try and I have watched this kid play for several years out here before he moved up there to you. He has one thing on his mind and it is go go go. I know white house is trying to play up tempo but it is controlled tempo and he cant even do that. He is a roll the ball out there and let him play take his turnovers take his points take his bad decision making type of player and if you cant live with that (most coaches cant) then he is not for your style. He is a memphis type of player coach is there to sub but the 5 out there just play like AAU style. Could he help a team, without a doubt, but he could just as easily bring one down and lose you several games. Super athletic. Stood out more in middle school cause he was bigger and faster, saw him this summer play and didnt look as good and now he didnt play this year? I might be wrong on that but havent heard his name this year, transfer ineligible? Hope he finds his spot or grows into a basketball PLAYER instead of a guy who plays basketball. As for what I witnessed from the stand the other night agianst East...WH looked shell shocked I think Ward number 2 freshman got the start, hopefully that wasnt his first start of the year. but it did look like it, he was not ready for that speed he looked like a freshman. I have seen yall play a few times this year and he has looked great, this was the first time he looked nervous but what a learning experience for him for next year. But the other freshman that played looked fine out there, if he grows any that could be the PLAYER in the class. He is smart makes good decisons dosent turn it over rebounds. still lost a little on D adjusting to speed probably but I like his game, They have a nice young core of freshmen. The loss of the PG is going to be huge, there is no one on that team right now to replace what he can do, period. he can really play and have a feeling a lot of colleges have no idea who he is. The shock I had most about that game was number 1 inability to play in that game, he plays aau with and against those same kids he knows the speed of the game and he had if I had to guess 15-18 turnovers, from the key guy that cant happen, if you want to win the game. but hey i do agree with you on this, wh WILL win this district next year and maybe even 3 straight idk that is hard to judge who comes who goes from all the teams.

I now know why white house has lost their last few games, as someone who hasnt seen them play in awhile, one of these is true but idk which one. I am not around this team enough to know. But this is true I just dont know the reasons. They are uninspired like they are ready for the season to be over with, not all but most. Burnt out or something idk. They have no fire no passion no excitement it is a dead ball club. I am not sure if they coaches have lost the players but thats my first thought, I saw several times the little coach talking with number 1 and him just walk away unresponsive glazed face, like he wasnt even there. When the bench comes in there is supposed to be a spark the only time that happened for them was when the kid who kinda looks like number 1 little brother with bad hair came in he hustles plays hard all the time, he gets lost but thats what happens sometimes. I they have 3 sr so its a young team I get that so thats most of the inconsistency in this team, but that portland team should never be able to beat any team in their own gym. Also when did wh go to playing man? They cant guard anyone idk when they started that did they do that against westmoreland and heritage? What happened to playing that what I called helter skelter defense everyone flying around everyone on the bench plays wear the other team down with the whole team for a half then play the normal rotation in the second half and win the game I seen them do that a couple times this year. I didnt make it to the wh vs heritage game, so what happened 79 points from heritage is amazing. My guess is wh pressed most of the game to keep the tempo but allowed layup after layup on the other end(I have seen them do that personally, they leave their "big man" on an island back there). I would be hard pressed to think heritage shot the ball with them, they have no shooters, a few scores who can hit shots but no shooters. Thats why I say they had to be shooting layups to score that many points. Heritage PG number 10 or 1 I know it has a 1 in it havent seen them in awhile, I feel hes the best player they have and white house has no shot to guard a team with a good PG, then they have the tall athletic kid 14 maybe ...shoots all the time if he hits they are in some games but he can shoot you out of them too. and they have a good who shoots alot of threes not many go in but his confidence is high 20 or 22 I am not sure . Good win for heritage I am sure great crowd there But did a wh player get hurt because they lost to westmoreland the next day with like 40 points. Is the tournament set? who plays who?

Heritage had a big time player in 2013? Was that the single A team that lost to Richland in the sectional?

Also noticed the other day at wh vs cheatham that white house has the best way i can explain it is "extra coaches" behind the bench which is ok but I witnessed multiple times (timeouts end of quarters) which is a T if a crew or opposing coach were to witness it cause I am guessing they arent on the bench because they arent official on school paperwork or whatever. More power to them for being able to do it though. I have seen a ref call a T for that before at the end of a game.

cleggy is speaking truths out here. this is seems like two dads not seeing eye to eye or not watching the same game...to be honest after reading both new blue and cleggy posts in this whole topic and not knowing heritage or the kids, i would have to side with cleggy, yall both spoke crazy about how great heritage was going to be but he did man up and say he was wrong his preseason predictions were way off base meanwhile new blue I believe thinks they can still win the district! I stand by my three wins in the district for them...cc loss wh loss coin flip with sycamore. they might win that one to get to 4 wins. I havent seen them play since before christmas might make it out to see which one of yall is more correct with their assessment of this team

good defender avg shooter doesnt play in key situations not sure why that is but mr basketball is in the game ALL THE TIME

saw the scores from last night everything seems to be right in my book. I had to work last night so was unable to see any games but after seeing the wh greenbrier score, and seeing them play a couple weeks ago greenbrier is not the worst team in this district dispite the record. they are trying to figure out how to win. they will be a team you dont want to face come tourny time as long as they continue to play hard. cheatham is still the team to beat will win out white house is closing the gap but dont have enough defense to get it done and if they dont shoot well they can be beat by anyone finish 2-2 beat heritage and westmoreland lose to cc and harpeth. harpeth is harpeth but i think they win out westmoreland both wh teams sycamore, westmorelands early wins might let them settle in the middle i have them losing the final 4 district games. greenbrier will win 2 of their last four (westmoreland heritage cc sycamore) wh heritage finishes 1-4 (cc harpeth wh greenbrier sycamore) sycamore winless in the final 4, might win one (greenbrier heritage harpeth cc) so based on that my final standings are 1. CC 11-1 first rd bye 2. Harpeth 9-3 3. WH 8-4 4. Westmoreland 6-6 5. WH heritage 3-9 Greenbrier and Sycamore both finish 2-10 and idk how the tie break works so for bracket purpose say greenbrier wins the tie break so they are 6 and sycamore 7 FIRST RD HARPETH VS SYCAMORE upset by sycamore WH VS GREENBRIER win by WH WESTMORELAND VS WH HERITAGE winner plays CC in the semis win by westmoreland SEMI WH vs Sycamore CC vs Westmoreland Finals CC vs WH cheatham wins

As usual another pointless statistic from new blue. The last seven games of a schedule is never an indicator of how things are going to go especially when those seven games include Christmas tournaments from everyone. Weak comp vs good comp in tournaments never fair comparison. If you are looking at a way to "predict" the out come of the rest of the year Ii recommend not doing it, especially in this district. Where the only thing that is a guarantee is that cheatham is still the team to beat, but are actually beatable this year from inferior teams. So with that being said, you must look at the district wins (cause thats what matters not overall wins...wouldn't expect anything else from a fan) but you should know more about the game if you are going to talk about it all the time, and since there hasn't been 7 district games played you can only go on the games played within the district so far Cheatham 4-1 L westmoreland on the road Westmoreland 4-1 L Harpeth on the road Harpeth 4-2 Cheatham WH both at home(shock) WH 3-2 Sycamore CC away and home(sycamore only win) jekyll & hyde my name for WH Heritage 2-3 L all at home not a good sign(W at sycamore is good) Sycamore 1-4 W white house at home Greenbrier 0-5 so what you have here is chaos theory aka the butterfly effect. in laymans terms no one really know what the heck is going on here . sorry guys ive been out of town with the family/and work! but i saw some of the scores! shocking to say the least this district is so in limbo right now i couldnt tell you who is who. Im not sure if any team is playing how anyone expected. is westmoreland for real who knows, is heritage really that bad i dont believe so, but then again they could be. greenbrier a 3 point loss to harpeth, is that harpeth playing bad or greenbrier turning it around who knows man! its a crazy district the only thing i do know is whoever wins this thing in the regular season is the true winner cause at this point anyone could beat anyone in the first round and with only seven teams winner automatic bid to the region where we are...which is going the way everyone thought so far. I am really entertained by the scores on this side (crazy) now to address some people new cat on here Truth...has some bold points not too bad. hard to have real truths picking these games with these teams! who shows up who just is there what coach gets the best out of his team when they need it bomber out here destroying new blue...i wasnt at the game between wh and heritage, but its interesting to see them go back and forth with it... i dont think they have 2 6'5 guys...but if they do and they have only won one game thats a shame on that coach and those players in that district. i am willing to bet no team has anyone bigger than 6'5 in the district and they have 2? tonight ill take cheatham over harpeth might be close idk hendersonville over heritage with in 4 points give me westmoreland over sycamore playing too good not to go with them...call it 6 point game white house over greenbrier no point prediction here. could be +20 could be 1. greenbrier gets the lead it will be low scoring

I agree with your harpeth statement, thats what happens when you have the best coach in the district. It is no surprise they are winning. But the rest of what you said might be some of the dumbest stuff I have ever heard. They are about as equal as rocks and cotton. For you to think that heritage has the better athletes is crazy, they have 1 athlete. Not that, that means anything in basketball anyway, Lance Armstrong is an athlete Usain Bolt is an athlete, doesnt mean they can play basketball! It is a basketball game and there is one thing that matters, the ball has to go in the basket. And they just cant score! 60 points and 44 points against the same team is even? Since when? You think a team that has won one game avg 51 ppg is going to beat a team that has 4 wins 2 against 3a schools and that is avg 63 ppg...I ask you how? You are already begging for the refs to help, if heritage wins this game it would be like the US beating USSR in hocky in 1980...If this game is close I would be surprised, Hopefully I wont have to work and i will be able to see it come down to "shooting, free throws, and game strategy". The only thing it will come down to is will heritage have enough oxygen tanks on the side lines to run with them, and strategy will be when will the coach wave the white flag and sub down and hope that wh does the same thing so the score is respectable in the paper! what time do they play springfield tomorrow? And westmoreland is out there surprising me, sorry i picked yall last in this district! What happend in the WH vs Portland game, had to be an injury or somehow portland slowed the game down and it was an old school rivalry game. I read white house 20 plus points in the 4th. Sneaky win, Also saw heritage won the rematch with that clarksville team thats big for them. Still shocked with their record though and ppg I thought they would be better its still early though. Cheatham still being cheatham, I will like to see what happens with that coach once his players are gone, not sure if its the coaching or the talent out there we shall see soon!
